We need more Herb in our lives. This could easily have been the longest running franchise in horror history, as Herb is probably my favorite character in horror. Contrary to common belief, you don't actually have to be the "good" guy to be the protagonist.

What I think is kind of cool about this is how West and Cain had such a weird, codependent but ultimately kind of affectionate relationship for two films, but in this one West cares so, so little about Howie. He just doesn't have the same regard for him as he did for Cain, and it's just a cool choice on the part of the filmmakers, to show that West's actual semi-genuine concern for any other human being was focused entirely on one. And I think that's who he is going to find when he walks away at the end. After all, Cain is out there somewhere, and he and West did SUCH good work together...
The interesting thing is, it implies Dan turns state evidence but it also seems like that is the only animosity Herbert has for him. Given the situation, he probably could have easily thrown Dan under the bus and gotten a hung jury. So you wonder if Herbert copped to the whole thing, either so he could keep the 'recognition' of what was done to himself, or if he, in his own way wanted to keep Dan out of it, despite him turning on him.

I'm honestly disappointed that you didn't go a little further into Speedball's _"Death"._ The Reagent Formula literally reanimates dead tissue as a whole, that's obviously been established, but to reanimate someone or something that's still alive took it to a different level, as it appears each and every part of Speedball's body started to gain life of itself, the evidence of this is related to the first movie where a corpse's intestines act like a tentacle, same concept here with Speedball. As goofy and outta place the puppet looked, it basically portrayed that Speedball technically became a paradox of both being alive and dead. After that scene it's shown that West kept Speedball's eye, which was still alive and moving on his own, only to throw it away at the end of the movie.
It's also interesting because there's a deleted scene from the first movie where we find out that West had actually been shooting himself up with the Re-Agent. Pretty small doses compared to what Speedball took, but still. Not sure if that's had any effect on him whatsoever, but it's cool that they finally re-explored that idea from the original.
Unfortunately Sid Haig passed away today at the good age of 80 years old. He was a great actor and was great in the Rob Zombie films . May our prayers be with his family as they mourn an unfortunate loss

Not sure if you got it, but the reason the hanging bodies were jerking around like that was because they were re-animated bodies, doomed forever to be dying but never die. The Warden didn't like how quick death was and wanted to prolong the suffering of it, and used the serum to do that.

He's working towards an ultimately altruistic goal, every doctor's dream, never losing a patient ever. Every experiment has a different result that is a success albeit not a good success. Each success brings him closer to nailing it. If he had better sources of NPE than the population of a weird corrupt prison, it'd probably work just fine.

I will say while it isn't PERFECT this movie does elevate Herbert West significantly. The amount of chaos he intentionally/unintentionally sews, not to mention on multiple occasions is able to stand his own against others and then just slip away really makes him a much more terrifying person then he was shown to be in the first 2 reanimator movies. In those he was much 'little dog' barking big but cowering when he thought it would give him sympathy. Here he really seems to be able to stand on his own two feet for the entirety of the movie. This is also exemplified by Jeffrey Comb's awesome performance.
In the first 5 minutes, I thought I was going to hate this movie but by the end I really enjoyed it thanks to Combs. It's available on the streaming service tubi.

He's working towards an ultimately altruistic goal, every doctor's dream, never losing a patient ever. Every experiment has a different result that is a success albeit not a good success. Each success brings him closer to nailing it. If he had better sources of NPE than the population of a weird corrupt prison, it'd probably work just fine.

Nuyo first of all, in my own opinion, which may be wrong, you don’t need to be 18 to see fictional gore, I’ve been watching horror movies since I was like 8 and I turned out fine, it should be up to the parents to monitor what their kids watch and if it’s safe for them, rather than just slap a tablet or a computer in front of their kid and leave it up to RUclips to make sure their kids aren’t watching anything ‘harmful’. Secondly I see what you’re saying about it’s the rules and whatever but what this dude is saying, and I’m agreeing with, is that RUclips used to not cater to babies or social standards, it used to be so much more wild and had like a real sense of freedom, they banned fucked up shit whenever they could but now they discourage people from being creative because the site favors vloggers and family family content. I understand why because of ad revenue, but the constant changing of rules has fucked over many of my favorite creators which sucks to see. So I think it was much better back in the day I’ll take the bad with the good

I will say while it isn't PERFECT this movie does elevate Herbert West significantly. The amount of chaos he intentionally/unintentionally sews, not to mention on multiple occasions is able to stand his own against others and then just slip away really makes him a much more terrifying person then he was shown to be in the first 2 reanimator movies. In those he was much 'little dog' barking big but cowering when he thought it would give him sympathy. Here he really seems to be able to stand on his own two feet for the entirety of the movie. This is also exemplified by Jeffrey Comb's awesome performance.
