My favorite little easter egg in the DLC was when you are doing Crispin's challenge, if you don't put the top of the sandwich on it at the end and just throw it off to the side, he'll say "I'm a bit surprised you didn't put bread on top, though. Is that a Paldea thing...?"

The "John Cena" pose is Gladion's pose 🤣 The dialogue options that lead you to unlock it is also very much referencing the dude
The book in area zero always had that journal entry, it is just a time loop hinting to the fact this event happened during their research into area zero. The Journal entry also services as a hint to witness the event. Kieran also drops out of the League so Crispin gets to stay.
Seeing Eri without her costume was like running face first into a brick wall, it was that shocking. I didn't know who she was.
The only people that didn't shock me were Giacomo and Ortega.

So Penny is Peony’s other daughter and Peonia’s little sister? I wonder why she didn’t go with them to the crown tundra. My theory is that while they were there she was at the academy and the crown tundra events happened during the Team Star insident.
i doubt the Clay and Elesa connection is actually confirmed or intended. for starters Elesa never used Minun and Plusle to begin with. i think the game just used those to introduce the concept of double battles being a mainstay in BB Academy and because we know Lacey likes cute pokemon. furthermore Cyrano omitting Elesa also being a relative to Lacey doesn't feel right and maybe it's just me but Elesa seems too young to be Lacey's mom.
Well I am also doubting this. I don't think she is too young, because for all we know, this might be 10 years after Unova Games, 12 years after BW. Lacey is probably around... 16 or so going by the fact that this is Unova and says she is a 2nd year, which likely is going by High School for USA. And Elesa is probably around 24 to 28 in BW, making her 38 to 40 which is about normal.

Only Clay is explicitly confirmed. Elsa is honestly deconfirmed or else the game would state Lacey is the daughter of two gym leaders.

Those aren’t just references to black city and white forest. Those pictures are actually of Black Tower and white tree hollow from B2W2, since both the buildings have doors in the art.
And the art themselves were from the original BW, before Black Tower and White Tree Hollow became a thing in B2W2.

@@Markcrazeer No. The black tower and white tree hollow were post game facilities exclusive to B2W2. If you take a look at the maps of black city and white forest from BW compared to B2W2, you’ll see that entire parts of the cities were changed to accommodate the new post game facilities in B2W2.

SPOILERS: Kieran is not the strongest characters ever created in a Pokemon game outside the main character. If you know you know. ALSO: The note written by the professor saying they got the white volume from a kid at a lake is NOT UPDATED after you trigger the scene, it is there even before triggering that scene.

A few other remixes in this dlc:
The battle theme against wild Tera pokemon is a remix of gen 5's Wild Double Battle theme
The theme for the coastal biome (Lacey's area) has a short segment that's a remix of the driftveil city theme
The Elesa thing is a MASSIVE reach. Plusle and Minun are the first double battle pokemon. There's another random trainer that uses them, too. It's nothing.
There is also a Rhydon tera that is water tera hidden in a little rock dome that is in the middle of water coming from different directions that I feel was a ref to when Rhydon could learn surf in Red and Blue
Or johto reference, a man in the building with the kimono girls talks about his surfing rhydon in gen2.

Just a correction, the note about the kid giving the white volume in the cave is not an update. I have been in the cave before triggering the cutscene at the lake and the not was already there. I found it creepy, i thought it was the first discover of terapagos writing that and the part of the kid was uncanny lol
Darn, I was hoping the secret crystal room would have been part of an Event to encounter Diancie. What, with it being a giant crystal cave with carbinks being one of the few actual random spawns down there.
The black and white remixes make me so freakin happy.

The journal entry was already there when you first go down to the lower level of Area Zero.
I guess we can expect some remakes some time soon for black and white.
Leaks and rumors are implying that it's may either be BW3 or Legends Arceus style game.

You can access that secret cave without flight, just climb that central pillar and shimmy around a bunch and you can do it immediately

Regarding Kieran being the strongest trainer in any Pokemon game. He's actually barely edged out by 1 other trainer added in this DLC. You can unlock the ability to battle Cyrano, and his team consists of 3 lvl 86 and 3 lvl 87 pokemon, giving him a higher average team level than Kieran
is no one gonna mention that peonia and penny are sisters then?
Recently in the franchise, relatives or ancestors of some character have at least something that resembles said character (like Perrin and Adaman), which is not the case for Lacey in regards of Elesa, so I doubt it. Plus, Plusle and Minun perfectly fit the concept of double battles, which is the keystone of the battles in the BB League. Oh, and Nimbasa is close to Driftveil, so it may just hint at Clay living in a place different to his workplace.

Something I would’ve loved to see could’ve been a refference to the subway boss we meet in Legends Arceus. It would’ve been cool to see a news article or something talking about Ingo’s desappearance. Or since the next game will most likely be a futuristic Unova game they could’ve put a reference talking about the desappearance of both subway bosses meaning Ingo went to the past and hinting that Emmet went to the future and we will likely meet him in the next game.

Some easter eggs that i found was when Drayton says "Yo, Champ in the making" which is the same thing that an NPC used to say in the older games before you started a gym, like in red and blue, and how Kieran's and Carmine's hair looks like Sylveon ribbons. Also i believe the "Be still my left hand" emote that was show is what i believe to be a reference to Gladion from the Sun and Moon games, it about the same animation that plays when you start a battle with him.

The fact that the opening screen and theme change after you speak to Sada the last time, that was the most surprising easter egg for me. It was like, dang, that hurt, why is there liquid coming from my eyes?
And then I go to give the book back to Arven, and its like, 'hey you borrowed the book from the library' and I was like, 'wait, I want to give you your mothers possession' and it was like, more liquid from eyes
The "John Cena" pose and the quest to get it is actually a reference to the Japanese "Chuunibyou" Phenomenon where kids in their second year of middle school will say crazy things like how they're the dark lord of the underworld and have special powers to try and seem special. In this case you have the power of darkness bursting from your left hand.

The specific part about the left hand makes me think of the judgement Knight of thunder.

It’s not confirmed, at all, that Lacey is Elesa’s daughter. For starters, Lacey has been stated to be the daughter of ONE of the gym leaders by director Cyrano. And if she was the daughter of two of the gym leaders, why would one get talked about more than the other?
Also Elesa, despite having red and blue in her color scheme, has never been seen using Plusle and Minun before. Lacey herself state she was using a “plus and minus strategy” in reference to their abilities being used in double battles, likely to demonstrate that double battles are used in Blueberry Academy.
As for the Nimbasa City connection, Lacey doesn’t have to live in the same city Clay works in. It’s like how the Gen 3 protagonist doesn’t live in the same city Norman work in.
(But hey, look on the bright side. At least Elesa is still single.)

Drayton has a bit of dialogue when you invite Hassel as a mentor. Hassel tells Drayton something about his grandfather, Drayden, from the Unova region and I thought that was pretty cool.
I knew they were related!! My headcanon just became canon!!
Honestly that would make Iris an adopted sister for Drayton if you look at the dialogue during the former's memory link

The B/W/BW2 songs getting a remix was my absolute favorite thing about this DLC
Oh my god, i never noticed the en 5 music was remixed for the Indigo Disk.. Thats really cool and a nod to the fact that we are more or less in Univa, while we explore the Tarerium and stuff.. Ans yeah, the amount of things referencing gen 5 is crazy..
Also, the epilogue even is coming out on 11th Januay and is probably going to tell us about the pokemon who turned The loyal 3 and Keiren into what they are today..

The visors at 7:02 are not the team flare visors but they belong to the Ultra recon squad from USUM
I had more trouble battling Drayton than I did with Kieran. I lost on my first attempt with Drayton which was my first loss in Pokemon Violet completely, so I swapped out my two lead Pokemon with my 3rd and 4th, and tried again and won. It took me all of 2 minutes at maximum to beat Keiran. These games are nowhere near as difficult as they were several years ago, that or I'm just not as terrible as I used to be.

Although Crispin does say that initially, he later mentions that the league positions are frozen so he'll be staying in the elite 4!
The goggles are a refrence to the ultra recon squad not the flare admins (can see the resemblance though)
And as everyone else has said Keiran is strong but not the strongest!

I fought kyogre but I didn't notice if it happened with him as well but right after i fought latias with kyogre and the theme from gen 3 started popping off which was nice (its my fav), I am not sure if the theme starts based on the legend you are fighting cause I only did these 2 but damn thats cool, gotta check with the rest

Just a little bit more about the helmets @ 7:05. If you buy all of them (it's very expensive). You get the "Glowstick dance". Now this dance is a reference to the Aquamarine glowstick dance used in the Oshi-no-ko anime. Also known as the (Aqua) "Wotagei" dance.
It is not a reference to oshi no ko, that dance has been a thing LONG before oshi no ko became a thing

There is special dialogue with Perrin if you have the Hisuian Growlithe she gave you in your party, this dialogue will also change if you managed to evolve it into a Hisuian Arcanine.

I dont think clay and elisa got together, i mean pokemon would have hinted more or told us about it. None of us would have guessed that Penny is the daughter of peony but they added that in the game. I just think because lacey is from nimbasa she took inspiration from elisa
The original theory wound up based on misinformation. As you say, there would've been more emphasis if Lacey had two Unova gym leaders for parents, and while I can see why people would presume, the lack of more obvious facets (i.e giving her an Emolga/Blitzle, etc) doesn't point to Elesa in my view.
When I started the dlc and realized that some song where from black/white I was so happy it took me back 🥲😌

One correction, the Ultra Glasses are actually from the Ultra Recon squad, not Team Flare.
I learned something when you Teraestalize your Pokémon into the Stellar Tera Type you still keep your original typing but get stab on all of your moves.
I learn that from 2 different experiments.
First of battle against the Stellar Tera Pokémon had the same weakness as it's original type and when I was about to Stellar Terasalize my Annilape into it I looked at all of it's moves and it had all of them act as stab.
