I just wanted to thank you for this terrific tutorial! I am really enjoying making these dishcloths. Also you helped me finally get my tensioning on the continental stitches perfect by holding my yarn the way you showed!❤
Knitting dishcloths in order to learn how to knit Continental style is a great idea. My ultimate goal is to do stranded knitting, holding the yarns in both hands. Thank you for this.
Great tutorial! I've made so many of these as Christmas gifts & smaller baby sized for showers before. For an added touch,I ads eyelettes and I ran some ribbon through the eyelettes and put little gifts in them like hand sanitizer, small liquid soap, chapstick etc. customizing it for the recipient, then I would draw it closed and tie with a bow. For myself, I added some scrubby yarn with the cotton, works awesomely and last a long time!
Thank you very much for your great tutorial. I’am amazed at how simple this one is to knit. I have knit countless numbers of different dishcloths and washcloths but I hadn’t ever tried this technique until a few days ago. My dear family and friends will definitely receive more knit this way. Thanks again 💜
Thank you so much for this video. I am crocheting and want to start my knitting career right know, this is an excellent starting point for practising. Besides, you do not use any background sound, I apprechiate this very much this is why I subscribed your channel immediately
Thank you Claudia, for a clear explanation and visual for beginners to accomplish something practical that they can use, although I am a knitter I still got something out of the video..doesn't the saying he go " your never to old to learn something new" as to encourage you, you are both easy to listen to and clear in your instruction" 🌸🌼🌺
I followed along and somehow my decrease border holes are so much bigger than the border holes made from my increases! Can't figure out if I did something wrong or if it's a tension issue on my end?
It's possible that they are not quite the same and maybe your tension changes ever so slightly on the decreases vs regular stitches which makes it look worse.
@@cloknits I only asked because I have the same one got it from Temu for 1.35, and thanks for the pattern I haven’t knitted in a long time this is the perfect project for me to try out
Thank you! You are an excellent instructor. I always look forward to your videos. Thank you for sharing your "gift"!😊
Thank you so much, it means a lot to me!
I am a crocheter and I want to knit so bad… i am following you and it’s working, thank you!
I am so glad you are trying knitting!
@ it’s a struggle but after one week of trying, I have 2 rows done!
The 20 minutes in the title is very optimistic😂 the first half took me several hours, now I'm finally ready to start reducing😮
Haha, the video is 20 minutes, It will take longer to knit the actual dishcloth.
@@cloknitsooooooh, that makes me feel a little better 😀
Merci pour ce tutoriel :) Je débute tout juste au tricot et c'est de loin le tutoriel qui m'a le plus aidé pour comprendre la technique de base.
OK it took me a few days, but I finished my first knitted dishcloth! Thanks for the wonderful tutorial!
Great job!

Knitted dishcloths are the best gifts!!! I don't think you can ever have too many.
thank you I will be making this as my first knitting project 😊
Wonderful!
I have been making these for over sixty years. If I am feeling really fancy I make the round ones.
They are just the best!!!

Thank you so much for your comment, it means a lot. There is always more to learn, even when you think you finally know everything!
Are we only adding 1 stitch per row?
Yes!
I dont have that pretty, distinctive border. Any ideas where i have gone wrong?
Did you do all your yarn overs? You can send me a picture by email, I will be able to help you better: clotricots@gmail.com

What is the sweater you're wearing called please? Designer?
Hi June! It's the Astrid by Junko Okamoto. I love it but I did have to make some modifications since it's a one size only pattern.
Yes, yes....someone else who holds the yarn in between the left hand fingers!
Did you get your scissors from Temu
No. It was a gift with purchase at a yarn store.

I tried this but somehow my adhd kicked in and made a long rag towel looking thing 😂
It's just a variation! ❤️
