      i took one for a test ride a little while ago and its way better to turn and use around town then my v star 650 and its got more power too
      only problem i have tho is i dont know if my upper back will hurt on longer rides that go for 6 hours or so and i ride on long strait roads to roads up around the snowy mountains
      here in australia
      i was also looking at getting a cb650r and turn it into a naked sports tourer

    • @jasondep
      @jasondep  2 года назад

      @@travisj2370 Yep I was actually surprised at it's nimbleness! and yeah I think generally you'd start to feel the strain on a naked style bike compared to the couches on wheels that are cruiser bikes, although it'd be better than touring on a supersport like say an ZX6R for example 😅I really want to try out a CBR650R, they seem like a perfect blend of supersport power without the back straining riding position of being hunched over because I believe the CBR650R's bars are in a fairly upright position although not as high as a naked style bike 😊

      @@travisj2370 ah okay that's fair enough then, I'd say always best to find the bike that is comfortable especially when it comes to commuting long distances, definitely test ride a CBR650R to see how you like it, I definitely want to try one out at some stage, but definitely can't go wrong with the Interceptor too 😊

      @@jasondep yea its just a shame adventure bikes around 10k AUD are either stupid slow or are ugly as hell
      Cant just build a interceptor 650 with a 4 cylinder engine and a set of wheels and shocks for adventure and royal enfield would have a hell of a ride

    I've had mine about 16 months and covered over 7,000 miles. I love it, a really nice bike to ride.I have fitted DNA high performance filter, Lextec silencers, bar end mirrors, TEC Bikeparts rack and Royal Enfield engine bars to get it as I want. Future improvements may include a suspension upgrade but honestly any rider could just buy this stock and have a lot of fun.

    • @jasondep

      Glad you're enjoying it! Safe riding 🙌 Definitely a great bike even in stock form, and if videos are anything to go by, the stock exhausts have some character to them

    • @canopus101
      @canopus101 2 года назад +1

      @@jasondep Thanks, I love the bike. The biggest problem with the stock exhausts is their weight I changed them the second day I owned the bike and can't remember what the difference in mass was but it was huge. Also my bike now sounds like a 1960s parallel twin and even makes Harley riders prick up their ears. Lol.

    • @jasondep
      @jasondep  2 года назад +1

      @@canopus101 Its a common thing I've heard about the weight of the stock exhausts, it's pretty interesting to hear how much of a difference it makes to swap them out 🙌 definitely not surprised that Harley riders do a double take when they hear it, I know I did when I first heard it 😅

      Thanks you! I actually did a review of the MT07 recently if you wanted to go check it out 🙌 - ruclips.net/video/qouP7jzp238/видео.html - The MT07 has more torque and it's lighter compared to the Interceptor 650, making it a bit more of a hooligan bike but also I think overall the MT07 is a robust platform where you can use it any sort of situation and a reliable engine/power train that's bulletproof (I can testify to this because I own an MT07 and was involved in a crash and it's still running without any issues, even after it was repaired) 😊 However I do think the Interceptor 650 is a great bike too, has just the right amount power for any type of riding situation, great weight distribution making the bike very stable, and the retro/vintage design of it is definitely better compared to the MT07 styling 😅

    I really -Rate the Re-650's , but I do disagree with the kawasaki W-series-twins sounding like 'rattle-cans' . They are parallel-twins (360-degree-cranks with both pistons rising and falling 'In-Parallel' ) same as original British-Twins .The RE is a vertical/inline-twin where the pistons 'Don't' rise and fall in-parallel---they have a 270-degree-crank which makes them smooth and v-twin-sounding . Both configurations make excellent-machines with very-different 'Character' to each-other . I definitely can't fault your enthusiasm for the RE though . Dave nz
