Imagine being on one of those airships and just getting shot out of what is basically a magical Mass Relay. I want to see what that looks like from the perspective of someone on board next season.
Actually one of my favorite scenes. The showcase of a thriving Piltover, the music and a demonstration of and introduction to the Hexgates. Such a damn good way to introduce a time skip.
1:02 I will forever be grateful to the sound mixer for letting the music be super loud in this part. Often times in scenes like this the soundtrack isn’t as pronounced as it should be because the mixer didn’t make it loud enough, but not here. You can tell the mixer really understands when to prioritize what parts of the soundscape, and it’s one of the 2 trillion things this show nails perfectly.
I think it may be because there's not much in media that celebrates humanity's ingenuity and achievements in industry these days. Everyone is so focused on dooms and on a mindset that sets human activity as harmful or inherently evil, we forget we weren't always this pessimistic. The future is supposed to be bright and our works are meant to make the world better, we might stumble and make mistakes, but we can amend those mistakes and keep building great and wonderful things together. The music and scenery encapsulate that: The glory of human ingenuity and progress.
1:10 Damn.. just now I realized that the hexgate is actually a world with different marks representing different locations.. and in this sequence, the gate is adjusting the course to the correct destination.. at 1:20 we can see the other symbols
This particular ship seems to be going to Noxus, as the landmass is roughly similar to what is seen on the runeterra lore map. You can even see a little bit of Ionia on the right.
this is by far my favorite scene in any animated media. Such power and magnificence. Humanity conquering the unkown and making a better world out of it, truly beautiful and awe inspiring.
Both love and hate this scene, such a beautiful way of showing just how far piltover has gone scientifically while simultaneously emphasizing just how far zauns been left behind. With each hextech advancement and use of the gems, the more pollution that makes up the gray in the under city. Really can’t wait to see how season 2 explains some of the deeper lore in League of Legends!!!
Not only does it perfectly and succinctly convey just how revolutionary hextech was, transforming Piltover into a technological and economic powerhouse, but the atmosphere is brimming with a pride in human ingenuity and faith in the idea of progress that I just adore.
The song in this scene, A Bicentennial, is literally my favorite in the entire score, and I have a lot of favorites from the score lol. I just love the buildup of this song, and this scene, how they reveal the progress Piltover has made over the years. Love it.
@@Enndorii Look up Arcane (League of Legends) The Soundtrack is split into 3 Acts. I made a playlist for the whole thing if you want to save some time instead of downloading three separate playlists.

It took me embarrassingly long to notice this, but the music that swells as we first see the Hexgates is the same melody that plays when Powder first discovers the crystals in Jayce's apartment. Damn, this show is good.
A small part of me is kinda mad at hupperdinger because he's talking to jayce as if he is the sol creator of hextech and he doesn't have a equal partner. Even more so cause its suggested that viktor was somewhat close to the professor considering the fact that he was his assistant so there's even more reason for him to be recognised as his partner. Although I loveeee this scene, it's amazing for world building xoxx

The only thing which i don`t understand about Hexgate - why do they need ships for teleportation? If i correctly understood Hexgate teleports ships to the final destination. In this case, what`s the point to use ships? They can use just a simple capsula or anything else to teleport passengers and cargo in the same way.
I like that the moral of the story is that the smart people can even conquer the stars, if they create an apartheid for the low iq people on the other side of the bridge. Something inspiring to look up to.
Hey, I know the Hextech is clearly alive somehow. But...is someone fully developed communicating throught it ? Or is said being still learning and growing up ?
from lore , the hexcore is a gem with soul and memories for an animal in shurima who passes through generation only skarner, their tribe and seraphine can hear it

Oh shoot I didn't even make the Mass effect connection
Probably the same way it looked to kid Jayce at the beginning of ep 2
I imagine it looks kinda like entering hyperspace
I’ve always thought of it as the Mass Relay too 🤣
And where does the airship go after the hexgate launches it?
can you imagine if you were watching this scene in a theatre ? you would be left speechless
I would gladly sit in the theatre for an Arcane Marathon to watch the premiere of Season 2.
