  • When you watch this video, you'll realize how lucky we are today with modern medicine. Dr. Mike (a Revolutionary War senior physical surgeon reenactor) shares with us how medical issues were handled during the Revolutionary War. It's not a pretty picture, as he goes into detail of the common illness' and injuries soldiers obtained, and how they were treated.
Revolutionary War weekend is from May 4th - May 5th.

Thank you for the videos. My question is, I know that women were not allowed in college or university, but were they allowed to apprentice with a skilled physicians in the 18th century?

This guy’s characterization of 18th century medicine and medical education is absurdly erroneous.
Frankly, his ignorance is shocking. Isn’t he supposed to be an historical interpreter?
    🙄🤦‍♂️
