The reason I call it "The Secret Strum" is it was a secret to me how I did it! People would ask and I didn't really know - it just kind of happened...It took me a while to slow it down and figure it out. Hope you enjoy it - it's a lot of fun!
Thanks Rebecca!! Feel free to join our new Facebook Chat Group "The Four String Strummers"! You'd be very welcome! m.facebook.com/groups/6666720290056917/?ref=share&mibextid=NSMWBT Thanks again! Kelly
🤯 actually taking it step by step and it IS do-able! Made it to step 3! My husband is amused by my walking around dazed and air strumming! 😂 but it works!! Thank you!
I really appreciate your step by step teaching style. I have a banjole and I am really working hard to become more proficient as I sing and play with the guitarist in our Bible home group. I'm so glad I found your channel. Thanks so much. I'm now a subscriber.
Thanks so much Linda! I'm very happy you're enjoying the videos! Check out the banjo ukulele Playlist on the channel if you are a banjo uke fan! There are some others that you may like. Thanks! Kelly
Just got my own Aklot in, and trying it out (I'm a complete beginner at banjolele, but I play a bit of guitar), and I feel good with the way you explain some basic stuff. Thanks, ... and now I have to practice. See you
Glad you liked it! Here's another one that you may enjoy - it shows a modified (slightly simplified) version of this strum ruclips.net/video/jjFwxLaQnSY/видео.htmlsi=HVcfetQscNUpjwb5

Thank-you hat was a great lesson!. You broke it down so I could get it. I wanted a strun for one part of a short silly song I wrote. When I fully master it I will play around with all the different parts of this stum.
George Formby used a couple of different strums consistently - these ones are a bit different. He was actually a very skilled player. These are kind of a cross between a style he would use and clawhammer.

This is awesome, thank you so much! I got it slow, now I just need to work on speed so I can bring some new life into my banjolele :)
Hey that's great! You are doing it exactly the right way - slow first and then gradually increase the speed. Have fun with it! Kelly
Fantastic, thanks very much.
Glad you liked it!
Hammer on and offs.
I'm sure that is the same(or very similar) to the George Formby strum?

Thank you and how is the banjo tuned?
GCEA is what I use. Thanks
