    I’m so jealous right now. I wanna play too. But I also saw how many other bins you have to go thru. Excitedly waiting for the final results.

    I started my worm farm and im so excited. i started with 1 barrel cut in half. and i use both sides. Its only natual worms nothing special. but they are going nuts in that barrel just with sawdust, paper and coffee grounds. Im so impressed by the worm bins i have. Thanks so much for the inspiration to start ❤

    Have only been at this since the dawn of 2024, Jan 04 to be exact. I have 4 12qt breeder bins with 300 adults in about 1 .5 inches of pre compost per bin..Today I will hand pick the adults out of these bins and reset the bins with new bedding, wet feeding and worm chow, for another 30 day cycle..The four bins of original bedding are then combined into 28qt bins and I refer to these bins as a hatchery/ nursery...I do not ever see cocoons (perhaps it is bad vision), but have huge numbers of babies growing well..Im only in my 4th cycle, and the oldest bin needs to be divided, Hope to get a count of worms when performing this task...Love your content, and look forward to your posts, Thank You so much, Phil

    hi meme, how do you keep all the unwanted insects out of your worm farm? and how do you keep worm castings clean without insects?

    • @MemesWorms
      @MemesWorms  3 месяца назад

      Can you elabarate on whàt unwanted insects? There are many forms of insects that are benificial to the worm bin.

    Can they be sifted if the soil is drier?

      @MemesWorms  3 месяца назад

      You could but i would only do that if i was selling them. Otherwise let them hatch in the same material.

    Meme I have some worms in a cup for sale and you ought to see the little white ones that had hatched out of the cocons

    • @MemesWorms
      @MemesWorms  3 месяца назад

      Are they white or with a slight pink tint?

    • @Debbie-Keller
      @Debbie-Keller 3 месяца назад +1

      Yes, white or pink? Worms, even tiny ones are pink. The white ones are pot worms.

      My fishing buddy has a large worm bin (European nightcrawlers). He brags about the tiny white baby worms all over the place! I don't have the heart to tell him they are not nightcrawlers.

    Is this a regular thing you do? Why? Or is this to see how many eggs per 100 worms you find?

    • @MemesWorms
      @MemesWorms  3 месяца назад +1

      Just to see what the production for 100 worms are.

    • @MemesWorms
      @MemesWorms  3 месяца назад +1

      Also to find the sweet spot of how many worms do we need for max production in this size bin.
