You can feel the deep camaraderie and trust between the pairs of Pokémon, and it all comes together in a perfect blend that left me amazed. And considering one of lucarios signature moves is bone rush? That Nidoking ain't lasting long... Id make a comment about the Blaziken too but because they say no research imma just leave it at that.
Fastas well, the weavile was a support pokemon, so it must’ve been intended to fight butterfree, which its ice STAB is strong against. And you’ve failed to mention the other of nido’s types which is super effective againstLucario for the same reason nido’s poison typing has no effect. Both of Blaziken’s STABs are super effective against Lucario. I believe the trainer in question’s gameplan was to fight Lucario with Blaziken, and fight Butterfree with Weavile. Nidoking was sent in to assist blaziken with lucario
@@RamdozaCh You forgot to mention that Butterfree had Gust, which is both STAB _AND_ super-effective against Blaziken, which is why Weavile was needed to fight Butterfree in the first place.
@@mashiroshiina2713 um bro? Ground is super effective AGAINST fighting, fighting types are weak to ground, and you think I'm wrong tell that to my all fighting team that got bodied by six stab earthquakes.
This... Is... So beautiful. OMG I've never seen a fight choreography so well done that unites great graphics with smooth, organic movements. I know Pokkén Tournament is in that style, but I'd like to see something like that in the core series somehow. Dude, I dunno if the guys who made this masterpiece will read my comment, but if they're, bro, YOU ROCK!!
Actually, without Lucario there, Butterfree nearly got man handled and certainly couldn't have taken on all three at once like Lucario was before even using that Power Gem. That said, Butterfree was indeed a champ
@Aaron Smith Actually fighting is *not* weak to itself, though Lucario is weak to fighting because of its secondary steel typing. They're also weak to fire so Blazikin has double the advantage, but with Butterfree (a *Flying* type that can learn Psychic moves) running interference and Sneasle being 4X weak to Lucario's fighting moves the fight was mostly even. Until that Nidoking showed up. Poison Resists fighting, meaning that Lucario was at an instant disadvantage even with the ability to learn Ground type moves. Though, Nidoking is weak to both Bug and Psychic moves, but Butterfree was too busy dealing with Sneasle and Blaziken to be of any real help against that heavy hitter.
Emanuel Aparicio it wasn’t even the framedrops that I hated the most, it was the fact that they did like 3 attacks each. The fight was just lame and boring.
@@BaronB.BlazikenBaronOfBarons I don't know... I was too much bugged by the fact that the types are all horrible matches and the worst match of the bunch still wins. Also, a wild lucario using a Z-crystal, a trainer not using one, whilst both these pokemon have megaforms? I guess no amount of stylish animation can distract me from all that...
That's actually kinda what it is. They talk about it in Death Battle Cast, but this was just an animator making the video for fun. And when he showed it off, they told him "Oh we gotta put this in DBX." More or less.
@@daikoncentris3425 Ye, maybe he just absorbed it's energy. Seems very possible to me, like Necrozma do with light, and Lucario have the aura power so it seems a perfectly possible cenario.
@@Zailen248 yea. But then, Smash Ultimate also use Z-crystals as like item and harness energy. Look at Incineroar's final smash. You can see Incinium Z at the start of the animation.
The type advantages actually go back and forth with a lot of these Pokémon Flying Bug vs Fire Fighting for example each have STAB moves super effective on each other, same for Bug flying vs Ice Dark, Poison Ground vs The Steel type Lucario was cool too as 1 type hits it hard the other type not at all, they even showed off fighting being not very effective vs Poison, if you are talking about the overall winner well if it literally decided by fan vote so you can’t get mad at Rooster Teeth for that. As for the Z Crystal thing Pokemon has always played loose with the rules even it comes to extra forms in cinematic environments, Mewtwo Mega evolving on its own, Deoxys changing forms at will, etc. so it stands to reason Lucario would be able to do that without a trainer he is special enough to get his own movie after all and can “talk” even when the other main Pokestar Mew can’t and has Meowth translate for it later on I the moving solidifying that fact, so Lucario using a Z Crystal is vanilla really, plus it was badass. I say all this and I like Blaziken more it was my first starter Pokémon after all.
I'm sad now Why? Cause that choreography was so good, it felt like a Monty Ohm fight, whoever animated that, mad respect, and this is coming from someone who isn't interested in Pokemon
I still come back to this fight periodically. I mean this with not even an ounce of hyperbole, this is probably the best fight on this entire channel. And at not even a million views, thats insane.

This person(s) knew the personality and fighting styles of all these Pokémon and beautifully showed each of their strengths and weaknesses, personality and emotions without anything talking. Made me think of Monty’s work. Beautiful.

I really wish they weren't tied to murder in these videos, some fights feel like downers at the end when someone is killed by someone who'd never normally kill. Videos like this one are super refreshing.
Exactly what I was thinking. This is the first DBX I'm watching since Thor vs. Vegeta because, after that fight, my interest in DBX plummeted. Talk about redemption!
Everyone’s so surprised that butterfree held its own, but my man had STAB super effective moves against both weavile and Blaziken as well as access to quiver dance
yes of course butterfree could withstand all that, Nice (sarcasm) in the damn animation instead of the facts, bro butterfree is weak as hell and how I can withstand the blows of weval knowing that weval is ice type, and blaziken has two types of advantage against Lucario fire and fighter type
@@kennym249 I agree that in a normal Death Battle Blaziken would’ve won, but in DBX, it’s mostly just about having fun, stuff like stats and type advantages and disadvantages don’t really matter here

Nidoking just shrugging off Lucario's hits felt like type resistances mattered for once :O (although it's also probs bc he dummy thicc)
The trainer seems to have a pretty balanced team. The tank, the speedster, and Blaziken being the Ace that starters usually are.
Fighting type is not effective against poison.
That's also probably why weavile went down so quickly to lucario's fighting type attacks
@@mashiroshiina2713 um bro? Ground is super effective AGAINST fighting, fighting types are weak to ground, and you think I'm wrong tell that to my all fighting team that got bodied by six stab earthquakes.
@@mashiroshiina2713 you were wrong abot types
This...
What we expected: Lucario VS Blaziken
What we got: Butterfree carrying Lucario like an absolute champion
Actually, without Lucario there, Butterfree nearly got man handled and certainly couldn't have taken on all three at once like Lucario was before even using that Power Gem.
That said, Butterfree was indeed a champ
@@kaeaja the only reason they were there in the first place was for lucario though. So I don't even think that even matters.
Kaeaja well butterfree do save Lucario some times and so did Lucario
Imagine Blaziken loosing to a fighting and Steel type pokemon.
Hey, remember when the whole comments section was complaining about how poorly-animated Vegeta vs. Thor was? Well, this redeems that.
Nothing can redeem that video specifically. But this video shows just how awesome a DBX can be.
They fixed the animation errors and the framedrops in Rooster Teeth. You can watch it for free there (if you can watch 3 ads in a row).
Emanuel Aparicio it wasn’t even the framedrops that I hated the most, it was the fact that they did like 3 attacks each. The fight was just lame and boring.
@@emanuelaparicio2756 Ublock Origin will block all those ads.

The fight was better because of it, don’t lie!
It really was
At that point, it became a brawl more than a battle...still, great fight 👍
@@BaronB.BlazikenBaronOfBarons I don't know... I was too much bugged by the fact that the types are all horrible matches and the worst match of the bunch still wins. Also, a wild lucario using a Z-crystal, a trainer not using one, whilst both these pokemon have megaforms?
I guess no amount of stylish animation can distract me from all that...
Best Death Battle fight ever and I literally didn't care about the combatants at first. We need more fights like this.
This almost felt like a fanfic that got turned into a DBX later on.
DBF
Death Battle Fanfiction
That's actually kinda what it is. They talk about it in Death Battle Cast, but this was just an animator making the video for fun. And when he showed it off, they told him "Oh we gotta put this in DBX." More or less.

@@Zailen248 yea. But then, Smash Ultimate also use Z-crystals as like item and harness energy. Look at Incineroar's final smash. You can see Incinium Z at the start of the animation.

"Discovering something that doesnt exist"
*type advantages*
I mean they had type disadvantages
lol
"no rules, no research"
Popularity contest
Yeah and the z Crystal used with out a trainer
I'm sad now
Why?
Cause that choreography was so good, it felt like a Monty Ohm fight, whoever animated that, mad respect, and this is coming from someone who isn't interested in Pokemon
I will say this, this just shows how many people like lucario, because we all know how that would actually work out
