Charizard:That one player who kills everyone but always gets out of hand and loses Venusaur:The supportive one who dies first Blastoise:The camper who wait till the end just to kill the last opponent
Though Charizard is my favorite, I'll be honest, that was just the most brutal, most horrifying, most obscene and most indifferent way of killing poor, poor Venusaur. Rest In Peace.
Things are even worse for Charizard and Venusaur since Blastoise can learn shell smash now. Sure his defenses would be lowered, but he has withdraw, iron defense, and skull bash to raise his defense. He also has protect which would protect him from any special attack Venusaur could throw at them. These are all level up moves for Blastoise
When someone's favorite wins: Everyone else is a butthurt fanboy. When someone's favorite loses: It's because the writers are biased. I hate charizard...
When they mentioned Rain Dance I knew Blastoise would own both of them, blocking the sun, no Solar Beam for Venusaur, and creating rainfall, weakening or dousing Charizard's flames.
Actually Rain Dance doesn't hinder Solar Beam. In fact that is the only weather manipulation move that has no effect of Veusaur, sure it could be argued the overcast would make Solar Beam take longer to charge but that difference is minute, since Blastoise doesn't have the speed to close the distance before Solar Beam could be fired without using rapid spin and that puts him in a dangerous position leaving him free game for all of Venusaur's highly effective grass type moves.
Blastoise: That one Tanky class everyone runs away from Charizard: That one speedy and frail class that vultures every kill Venusaur: That one status effect setup class that’s all risk all reward
Ironically, vultures are one of the tankier birds, and they don't even kill their own food, due to being primarily scavengers. We even have a vulture pokemon in Gen 5 and it's a waller.
@@ItachiUchiha-nd9rc I would take that into account but charazard are also warriors so they go more for the more difficult fight, but he just retaliated from venesaurs attack so his death was more or not already decided.
@@PresTsukasa dude, that's because Boomstick and Wiz didn't care about Venasaur, so they... wait a second, are you talking about the KO screen after the fight?
You won't find that in your average Pokémon nature documentary… But let's be real, in a survival of the fittest scenario, this is probably what would happen.
As a kid I always alternated between Squirtle & Charmander (I was 8 and Red and Blue had their evolved forms on the cartridges). But now that I’m older I like Bulbasaur. He’s a solid starter against the first 3 Gyms giving you a safe starter as you figure out your team in the beginning of the game. And the dinosaur aesthetic is pretty cool. Charmander is my favorite and the squirtle like looks the coolest but bulbasaur is the best.
Flaming Hammers I understand your reference, but it is an insanely uneven fight. Both are poison types, and Gengar's additional ghost type makes him immune to a lot of attacks. Both pokemon at that same level,Nidorino stands no chance.
This means nothing lol, these fights are so situational. If Charizard stayed consistent and kept taking on Blastoise, his power would have quickly overwhelmed Blastoise, leaving it to a one on one Charizard vs. Venusaur; the obvious victor being Charizard. If Venusaur stayed consistent in avoiding direct conflict while letting Blastoise and Charizard fight (while providing subtle support to Blastoise to assist in taking down the only concern of Venusaur, Charizard), It would have come down to Blastoise vs. Venusaur, obviously resulting in Venusaur winning. Lastly comes the variations of movesets, apparently Venusaur had no synthesis in this battle; which could have provided him enough recovery to outlast the others (especially Blastoise given the type effectiveness). It comes down to mainly focus in a 3-for-all (--> = focus); Seriously this battle is one 'simulation' and a loose one at that, and what it ultimately comes down to is the trainer's playstyle and favorites.
But he also doesn't appear to have watched the end of the video when he commented. They established that, yes, there were many ways it could play out, and yes, in many of them Venusaur or Charizard won. He claims that because of this, this is a weak simulation, when in reality they covered that and pointed out that this is merely the most likely *result* of this battle, regardless of how they fight. It does not "mean nothing". It means exactly what they said. Blastoise wins more of these fights than either of the other two.
After battle... Blastoise: So, i did it Snorlax: You finally did my friend! Tirtouga: Honey! Im so happy for you! Pikachu: What did it cost you? Blastoise: My childhood friends

Unoriginal 156 but same goes for everyone, if charziard dies then its an easy dub for venasaur, but its mosr likely that blastoise wins cause venasaur is the weakest of them all and is the effective one against him, charziard and venasaur were doomed from the start
Well done Death Battle I find it Fair That Blastoise Won Even thou I was a Charizard Fan But I Can see why Megas weren't Allowed Plus even if they were Charizard And Blastoise Would still be Supreme so Sorry Venusaur Fans If their mega evolutions were allowed I think Charizard Would have the higher percentage of winning Maybe Since Charizard Mega evolution Ability Is Drought And Charizard Could learn Solarbeam So like I said Charizard Might have a better chance of winning If they allowed Mega's But when Blastoise Mega evolves He gets greater defense that Might prove my theory Wrong So This death Battle Is Very accurate. If anyone has a theory to prove me wrong then go ahead and reply
I'm a fan of venusaur, and I think just the chalizard venusauro beat and lose to blastoise because the chalizard is fire and flying type, and has metal type attacks, however we have to admit that venusauro easily win the blastoise he they just slept the whole battle.
SolarBeam does not generate STAB for Charizard, plus Blastoise can use Rain Dance to cancel the Drought. Blastoise would use a turn yes, but fire types would be much weaker
Thick Fat cancels Ven's weakness to fire, but still there is Flying. also though, Char-X or Char-Y ? Like said, Y version Drought that RainDance cancels, while being more powerful with Sp.Atk , Fire is still weak vs Water and cut more by RD. BUT if X version? Becomes part Dragon, which removes his weaknesses to water while getting a big buff to Atk power. Yet so while so Blastoise gets a big Def boost, so it comes to Char not being bulky enough to last vs brute force again, but MUCH closer So, if megas only Big B. likely still wins though Charazard if X form is much closer. If though 'all out' TM, Mega, and EV's , Charazard-Y wins.
@@threepunch5702 Oh, I was unaware of that. But sediment (the most common form of rock) has a much lower melting point than steel, so I have no idea why that is. Steel is honestly underpowered
Except that isn't how the Sinnoh starter types line up lol, assuming it's in regards to the final forms. Torterra just has to use ground against the other two, grass is neutral at best against Empoleon. Infernape you're right on, burning Torterra and beating up Empoleon. Meanwhile, Empoleon is only naturally effective against Infernape. It doesn't learn any natural attacks to beat Torterra. Sure, it can learn Ice Beam, but it's not STAB, and it's a taught move, so it wouldn't be included if they treat them as wild pokemon again. Empoleon would be in the Venusaur position here. With Infernape being land based, this could go either way to it or Torterra. Depends on how well they could make Earthquake work.
“Which starter type Pokémon is your favorite?” One the biggest questions that could make or break a relationship (at least for those of us who grew up with the original generation)
Aww...I love Venasaur. To the Pokémon Center! Nurse Joy: Uhhhh... **Trainer shows wingless, tailless, and fireless Charizard, Bloodied Blastoise, and burnt Venasaur.** Nurse Joy: Just give me their Pokeballs...I think... Trainer: Alright. **Trainer shows burnt, broken, and overgrown Pokeballs.** Trainer: Here you go! Machine: Do do do do do do! Nurse Joy: Here they are! **all of them come out fine.** Trainer: Well that worked out just fine. no didn't it?
What if ScrewAttack did more Pokemon Death Battle Royales with the different generation starters, then have the winners fight each other in an ultimate Pokemon Death Battle Royale
+Mayeur000Donz What I don't get is that flamethrower was in equal terms with a solar beam. They even showed in the beginning solar beam is about 3x more powerful than the fire charizard can make.
+Dan Wild Actually, if you pick Bulbasaur at the beginning of Red/Blue, you'll have a much easier time on the gyms. Doesn't apply to this video, but I'd thought I'd mention it
I disagree, they bring up the heat required for charizards flamethrower to melt boulders but dont even bother factoring in how that kind of heat alone would be enough to instantly start vaporizing blastoises water reserves as it melts his shell.
If I remember correctly I believe there was a cool event a long time ago in the soul silver and heart gold games where it literally rained rare candies, I have no idea if this is true or not but it's just what I was told
11:00 Even giving Venusaur/Charizard the benefit of the doubt and allowing them access to Sunny Day, it would still be a disadvantage as one would be helping the other. Venusaur setting up Sunny Day means it would be boosting Charizard's fire moves, and Charizard setting up Sunny Day means it would be boosting Venusaur's Synthesis and allowing Solar Beam to fire faster. Nothing would be stopping Blastoise from just setting up Rain Dance again, either.
Nope both the other two using sunny day would actually be a disadvantage to Blastoise as now the other two have huge buffs and Blastoise doesn't, along with that Blastoise now gets a pretty big disadvantage in the sun with his water moves getting weaker, also Blastoise cant just use rain dance again when the other two could just counter with sunny day, and trying to spam rain dance when both of your opponents can just counter with sunny day isn't an optimal strategy, as again the other two could just use sunny day to counter the rain dance.
Screw Attack isn't the smartest actually, Like really, Superman beating Goku when Goku could easily destroy the whole universe. (If cell can then goku can since he goes ssj3) Pikachu lose to Blanka, you made blanka resistant to iron tail and he is not a pokemon. Now this, the reason why blastois won was because charizard beat venusar and blastoise didn't do shit. The only time blastoise beat charizard was in the mega evolution episode.
I always hear the "destroying planets" thing cited whenever Goku vs Superman comes up. Here's where that logic is flawed: it would take far less force to break a planet apart than it would to lift it (or in the case of planets, move it against the gravity of its star). Imagine the force a wrecking ball emits upon a building as it reaches its maximum destructive speed. This force is negligible compared to the force exerted by gravity on the building as a whole, a.k.a. its weight. Here's where this is relevant: while combatants in the Dragon Ball Z series have been known to destroy planets with Ki energy, Superman has been known to move an entire planet against the gravity of its star as well even against the speed at which the planet is hurtling through space. The more impressive of the two feats is BY FAR moving the planet, by a huge margin. The same amount of force required to do this could easily destroy the same planet dozens of times over. On top of that, this is a measure purely of his physical strength. His heat vision is canonically far more destructive than his physical strength. Just because Superman doesn't destroy things on a planetary or galactic scale as often as DBZ characters do doesn't mean he can't. The reason he doesn't destroy planets is because he's Superman. Keeping things from breaking is kind of his deal. So next time you cite the destructive power of the DBZ characters, consider that the planetary and galactic scales upon which that power is measured have already been used to weigh Superman's own power as well.
u have to understand superman can destroy the universe with a single punch dude and blanka is electric resistant thats y he won that i mean it was not a fair fight i agree all the way
alex little let me end this right here...goku has always held back his true power so he doesnt destroy the planet, same with superman except on rainy days o3o
@@kenshanparchman6838 ...Non-fire moves, the Pokemon are in natural state, no trainer, so no items. AND, in the battle, Solar Beam is used, and the rain wasn't up, bla bla bla, my point still stands.
That's a good question. I would probably choose X because Y only gets really useful in double battles for the drought ability and moves like solar beam are not learned naturally.
How would thick fat make any difference? They said they even factored out type advantages/disadvantages so if their attacks are going on damage alone (attack and special attack) then damage types are nullified and thick fat wouldn't reduce the damage. Which also even with thick fat it wouldn't protect from Charizards flying-type moves. A rematch would be cool but this seemed like a fairly even fight when it comes down to it you can't question the math they did a great job with this one :)
For you Charizard fanboys, here's some reasons why Blastoise reigns supreme: 1) No mega evolutions. 2) No player influence. 3) No trained moves (ex. Thunder Fang) 4) Blastoise is a water type, Charizard is a fire type. Water > Fire. 5) Blastoise is the best.
***** Base stat total doesn't actually mean much if you remember gen 1 Alakazam was seen as the most overpowered Pokemon but his base stat was pretty low it actually is one of the lowest base stats of a fully evoled Pokemon. It just matters how the stats are distributed. Alakazam has high speed and Sp ATK. Meaning he will most likely KO his opponent first. Look at attack form Deoxys his defense is the same as a Magikarp (20) He has the highest attack not counting Mega Evolution, but even though his base stat is at 600 (one of the highest) he could be KO'd in one hit.
Blastoise has a mega evolution and alot of player influence in it also blastoises high defense is canceled out by charizards high offense And charizard can get more attacks in
Hey guys I've noticed that most of you are taking into account the best for your team or most effective against Gym Leaders but remember these are wild starters and have no EV boosted stats which means that they have their based stats as followed Venusaur 80/82/83/100/100/80 (525) Charizard 78/84/78/109/85/100 (534) Blastoise 79/83/100/85/105/78 (530) Now for those of you who don't play Pokemon these stats are as followed from left to right Hp, Atk,Def, Sp Atk, Sp Def, and Speed.... Since there was no trainer involvement and we assume there are no egg moves and that they can use their entire move pool rather then four moves things get a little interesting. Venusaur Venusaur's strongest special move is Solar Beam and it's strongest attack is Double Edge both with base powers of 120. Unfortunately Solar Beam takes a turn to charge and Double Edge has 33% recoil damage. Venusaur's true strength comes from it's status moves like Sleep Powder, Poison Powder, and Leech Seed which if used right can slowly take down a opponent, it also has access to it's recovery move Sythesis. Charizard Charizard's strongest special move is Flamethrower and it strongest attack is Slash. Although Flamethrower only has 90 power it is easily made up for with Charizard's Sp atk and Slash has 70 power and has a high critical hit ratio. Charizard has no recovery moves (roost is not learned naturally and not in gen 1-3) and also has few status moves. It's strength comes from it being a glass cannon and quickly trying to take out it's opponent. Blastoise Blastoise's strongest special move is Hydro Pump and it's strongest Attack is Skull Bash. Hydro Pump with the base power of 120 (back it the early gens) and Skull bash with 130 and takes two turns to use increasing the users defense by one the first turn. Blastoise's strength comes from raising it's defense and protecting itself..... Now if we break it down, in the end if the last two were Charizard vs Venusaur Two things would happen 1) FLAMETHROWER BABY 2) Venusaur puts Charizard to sleep, uses leech seed and Sythesis to keep it's health up and toxic powder to lower and eventually beat Charizard NOTE: Charizard beating Venusaur is most likely here but Venusaur still has a chance Venusaur vs Blastoise Two things would happen 1) SOOOOLAAAAR BEEEAAM 2) Blastoise uses it's amazing physically move to take aim at Venusaur's weaker defense and tries to work around solar beam with protect? NOTE: Blastoise does not learn ice beam or blizzard naturally and is almost certain to lose to Venusaur because of that And lastly Blastoise Vs Charizard Two things would happen 1)HYDRO PUMP BABY 2) Charizard lands crit after crit hopping hydro pump will miss taking Blastoise down with Slash or Flamethrower? NOTE: Charizard does not learn Solar Beam naturally and is most likely always gonna lose...... Personally I enjoy using all three Pokemon for there unique uses for competitive battle and from a unbiased take it is true Blastoise is the most rounded and has the highest probability to win out of the three. So facts are facts PEACE OUT!!!!!
Chase Randalow Another Water Starter after including Greninja?... Not likely. Maybe the Bulbasaur/Ivy/Venusaur might make it, but Squirtle is going to be held back by his trainer and not evolve in Brawl.
I'm tired of all you whiney Charizard fans. Blastoise is obviously superior due to the math and the fact that he has a type advantage. Also since Venusaur sucks, so Charizard's type advantage is pointless. You all favor Charizard because as a child you thought that a fire dragon was awesome! No hate though because Charizard was my first starter but srsly get over it.
Well, in game, any pokemon can defeat any pokemon, it depends what attacks they do have. On the series btw, ash's charizard kicked gary's blastoise in the face.
I think all three starters are bad because they all have exploits and major weaknesses. Charizaed powerful yes but has way too may type disadvantages, being a flying type isnt a good combination with fire with 4x and 2x weaknesses. Then theres venusaur while decent for strategic play he basically has no offensive movepool just solarbeam, then blastoise i would say hes the best but he has a poor movepool but has great defense and the offensive moves he can learn are strong he can also counter his weakness with icebeam but no STAB so pretty useless, i personally think lapras is the best water type.
Venusaur will always be at a disadvantage when it comes to offense, giga drain only does 60 damage and leaf storm lowers stats and solar beam requires a charge. Venusaur is all about srategic play when it comes to pure offense he is useless 1 flamethrower doing 95 damage and one ice beam will be much more effective. The only decent moves blastoise can learn are ice beam and surf and ice beam isnt stab and its special attack isnt as good as lapras so surf isnt as effective and lapras covers its weakness ice beam. Lapras also covers its own type with thunderbolt. Youre obviously going to want to keep lapras away from fighting types. Send blastoise out against another water type he will lose because he cant learn thunderbolt and cant do any major damage to anything apart from fire rock and ground and even then his special attack isnt the best.
Guys you're not realizing that in typing and highest stats Blastoise is the best. All three starters are good but because Venusaur has a type advantage over the Pokemon that focuses on mostly defense it is somewhat pointless. What you guys are focusing on is a two pokemon battle whenever this is a battle royale. Blastoise has the upper hand being able to survive its hardest opponent Venusaur and then having a type advantage over Charizard. Still though I say that they are all good in their own respects. :)
Oh i stopped playing pokemon at platinum because they were changing the game up too much i preferred it back in the fire red and leaf green games, the majority of the moves and stats you listed were different then. Anyway moves like dragon pulse on blastoise are virtually useless because theres no stab. Last time i checked giga drain only dealt 60 base damage and lapras had the better special attack.
Charazard fan boys be mad. I'm sorry but in every pokemon game I've played with multilayer support, Charazards blow chunks, even after they get mega evolved they're only decent.
Joe Bell possibly the water not only came from his body but thanks to rain dance his water moves increased, giving him larger amounts of water within his body causing unlimited 90000 water power >:) fuck ywah go blastoise..unless charizard new a dam move called fire rain, he MIGHT have stood a chance...might..go blastoise wooo!!
Walter Valentim Nope! I knew he'd lose, but that doesn't change the fact that he's my favorite. I don't like seeing him die in the video, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna be salty about it. At the end of the day, it's just a game we play for fun. Just have your favorites, have fun, and let everyone else do the same.
I am a charizardfan.. kinda? I accept it as blastoise's win..... Who cares! It is just a video! NO need to fight! It Doesn't make sence that charizard didn't die instantly when blastoise used hydro pump.. Again... It goes trough steel...
Yup. Sleep Powder, Leech Seed, Giga Drain, Sludge Bomb. Sleep them both, Seed them both, Giga Drain the Blastoise into oblivion, and Sludge Bomb the Charizard. Over in a minute. People downplay the versatility of the 'Saur family.
Even in 2022, Blastoise still would win. 99.99% of the Water-type learn Ice moves, so it can deal with Venasaur. Blastoise now learn Shell Smash. But Mega Evolution, Venasuar might be the best among the three cause of ThickFat.
You could do a slew of deathbattle on Pokemon alone. 3 way with the starters of the other regions. 3 ways with the various legendary trios. 3 ways between the starters of the same element (Charizard VS Typhlosion VS Blaziken, etc)
No! I cant risk seeing my favourite starters die again. ;-; But if it was too happen this is how I'd think it would go: Gen 2: Typlosion or Feraligatr Gen 3: Sceptile or Blaziken Gen 4: Infernape Gen 5: Serperior or Samurott Gen 6: Greninja or Chesnaught For the each element, Fire: Charizard or Blaziken Water: Blastoise or Samurott Grass: Sceptile or Chesnaught It would be cool to see, but I dont want my childhood and fond memories of each game being ruined. ;-;
These are not competitive / meta versions. These are wild, untrained Pokemon who only have access to their natural stats and move sets via leveling up; no HMs, TMs, or outside stat modifiers used.
If we're talking about Mega evos Charizard is the best or more ofteb used and well Blastoise is the worst and least used Base Charizard sadly gets beaten out by Stealth rocks and Stealth rocks is a really badly balanced move
7:24 Look at em’ so peaceful, suddenly the rare candy attacked and they began to battle each other to test each other’s strength. Suddenly turns bloody and they go with it
JHenry Most, yes, but it's obvious which starters are more beloved by the creators. Charizard and Blaziken definitely up there. Hell, Blaziken is so awesome, his Mega Evolution debuted before the other starters of his generation.
Hmm, I rooted for venusaur. an earl Leech seed on both opponents plus a constant controll through Sleep powder would have sufficed to immobilise Charizard and Blastoise. that way he would have wittled them down while constantly healing himself with gigadrain and synthesis. anyways, I'd really liek to see the program you used to simulate all the possible matches.
dracothelizard467 I am pretty sure that they wrote a program that simulated (by comparing numbers) all 7000+ Battles and gave out the 7000+ outcomes and/or distribution in a simmilar manner as I have created an Excel document that lets you Input any Pokemons base stats, EV, IV and Level and run any Attack with any modifier (Attack and defence boost, STAB, Type effectiveness, Area, etc.) against any other pokemon (EV, IV, Base stats, level) and calculate the minimum, maximum and expected damage for a normal and a critical hit. I want this program, so I would be able to compare any set of Pokemon.
***** Only two of them are in the OU-Tier, those are Charizard and Venusaur. Blastoise is in the UU-Tier, wich means that he is competitively less viable than the other two. Thouugh it is true, that Venusaur would not stad a chance against Charizard, the use of sleep powder and leech seed on charizard combined with giga drain and solar beam would make him the winner, as long as Charizard attacks Blastoise first. That said, I'll still choose Charmander.
I've recently gotten into DB and I love Pokemon, so this video was great. I want to offer major kudos for commenting on EV/IV training and such because they are a really big part of the player's focus in game, and do push some things to a very real extreme.
Well, Groudon is screwed, he has nothing to hit Rayquaza effectively and is outright weak to 'Ogre- and in prescense of Rayquaza, Drought/DL won't help it either. Kyogre has tremendous SpD, which means, the only super effective moves Rayquaza has, Energy Ball and Thunder/bolt, won't hurt it much, outrage still hits harder. On the other hand, Ice Beam is 4x effective, and hits into 105/90 defenses... On the other hand, Mega vs Primal works the opposite way. Ray hits, kyo hits, ray hits again and kyogre is out. That lack of 4x weakness makes it.
Frankly i expected just as much, Blastoise's armour would be too much for Charizard's aggressive combat style to even slighty damage. One thing i'd say, Blastoise's hydro cannons would most likely rip Charizard's head off completely from that distance rather than filling him with water
QuilavaX at the time charizard died. he was doing jack shit against blastiose because it was raining, blastiose had set up 2 iron defense and had a resistence to fire to begin with and blastiose could have waited of the rain to kill him.
Venasaur would win. He's not gonna attack head on. He'd use poison powder & leech seed. I chose bulbasaur because he can break his opponents down. Blast pies would have zero defense against Venasaur & Charizard can't recover from being poisoned & seeded
Poison powder barely takes off any HP. And leech seed only works as theres someone for it to be drained and given to. So once venusaur goes down, so does leech seed. And Poison is hardly a factor due to minimal HP loss. Chrizard would go after venusaur due to weakness and overpowerment. They stated that venusaur lost first because of how much raw power it lacked.

Oh bout this one sho khan vs akuma

Sam Gideon vs. Raiden
***** HAH, you obviously don't get the reference
Flaming Hammers I understand your reference, but it is an insanely uneven fight. Both are poison types, and Gengar's additional ghost type makes him immune to a lot of attacks. Both pokemon at that same level,Nidorino stands no chance.
My decision to pick Squirtle first I made all the way back in 1998 was just justified. Thank you Death Battle.
It comes down to mainly focus in a 3-for-all (--> = focus);
Seriously this battle is one 'simulation' and a loose one at that, and what it ultimately comes down to is the trainer's playstyle and favorites.
Chance Bell the battle is for entertainment now something to judge about the flaws ( I know I'm late)
Chance Bell u seem kinda upset
Entity 303 i know, but he is clearly upset about this comment lol
But he also doesn't appear to have watched the end of the video when he commented. They established that, yes, there were many ways it could play out, and yes, in many of them Venusaur or Charizard won. He claims that because of this, this is a weak simulation, when in reality they covered that and pointed out that this is merely the most likely *result* of this battle, regardless of how they fight. It does not "mean nothing". It means exactly what they said. Blastoise wins more of these fights than either of the other two.

If their mega evolutions were allowed I think Charizard Would have the higher percentage of winning Maybe Since Charizard Mega evolution Ability Is Drought And Charizard Could learn Solarbeam So like I said Charizard Might have a better chance of winning If they allowed Mega's But when Blastoise Mega evolves He gets greater defense that Might prove my theory Wrong So This death Battle Is Very accurate. If anyone has a theory to prove me wrong then go ahead and reply
***** Ok I have one thing to say
Your profile pic is amazing
Yet so while so Blastoise gets a big Def boost, so it comes to Char not being bulky enough to last vs brute force again, but MUCH closer
So, if megas only Big B. likely still wins though Charazard if X form is much closer.
If though 'all out' TM, Mega, and EV's , Charazard-Y wins.
yeah when venusaur mega evolves its ability makes it pretty much charizard proof
Pokemon logic: all of them can break steel. But they can't kill the Pokemon
Actually, venosaur never had these capabilities. Even charizard was only said to be able to melt rock, not steel.

you should do a battle royal with the sinnoh starters, where all of them have two types that are each super effective against the other two 😂
Except that isn't how the Sinnoh starter types line up lol, assuming it's in regards to the final forms.

11:00
Even giving Venusaur/Charizard the benefit of the doubt and allowing them access to Sunny Day, it would still be a disadvantage as one would be helping the other.
Blastoise actually loses this fight when you take into account megas tms and hms.
This battle proves Pokemon should be used in math classes.

***** No he can't. -_-
I always hear the "destroying planets" thing cited whenever Goku vs Superman comes up.

I would love to see a rematch with all the Mega forms. Mega Venasaur gets thick fat which makes him more of a contender.
That sounds cool, but Charizard has 2 Mega Evolutions. Which one will fight?
That's a good question. I would probably choose X because Y only gets really useful in double battles for the drought ability and moves like solar beam are not learned naturally.
How would thick fat make any difference? They said they even factored out type advantages/disadvantages so if their attacks are going on damage alone (attack and special attack) then damage types are nullified and thick fat wouldn't reduce the damage. Which also even with thick fat it wouldn't protect from Charizards flying-type moves. A rematch would be cool but this seemed like a fairly even fight when it comes down to it you can't question the math they did a great job with this one :)

For you Charizard fanboys, here's some reasons why Blastoise reigns supreme:
1) No mega evolutions.
2) No player influence.
3) No trained moves (ex. Thunder Fang)
4) Blastoise is a water type, Charizard is a fire type. Water > Fire.
5) Blastoise is the best.
What do you mean blastoise has no mega evolution?
xerneas beats all
***** Base stat total doesn't actually mean much if you remember gen 1 Alakazam was seen as the most overpowered Pokemon but his base stat was pretty low it actually is one of the lowest base stats of a fully evoled Pokemon.
Plus that bulk
Blastoise has a mega evolution and alot of player influence in it also blastoises high defense is canceled out by charizards high offense
And charizard can get more attacks in

7:21: The Fight
12:03: Next Battle
Hey guys I've noticed that most of you are taking into account the best for your team or most effective against Gym Leaders but remember these are wild starters and have no EV boosted stats which means that they have their based stats as followed
Venusaur
80/82/83/100/100/80 (525)
Charizard
78/84/78/109/85/100 (534)
Blastoise
79/83/100/85/105/78 (530)
Now for those of you who don't play Pokemon these stats are as followed from left to right Hp, Atk,Def, Sp Atk, Sp Def, and Speed....
Since there was no trainer involvement and we assume there are no egg moves and that they can use their entire move pool rather then four moves things get a little interesting.
Venusaur
Venusaur's strongest special move is Solar Beam and it's strongest attack is Double Edge both with base powers of 120.
Charizard
Charizard's strongest special move is Flamethrower and it strongest attack is Slash. Although Flamethrower only has 90 power it is easily made up for with Charizard's Sp atk and Slash has 70 power and has a high critical hit ratio.
Charizard has no recovery moves (roost is not learned naturally and not in gen 1-3)
and also has few status moves. It's strength comes from it being a glass cannon and quickly trying to take out it's opponent.
Blastoise
Blastoise's strongest special move is Hydro Pump and it's strongest Attack is Skull Bash. Hydro Pump with the base power of 120 (back it the early gens) and Skull bash with 130 and takes two turns to use increasing the users defense by one the first turn. Blastoise's strength comes from raising it's defense and protecting itself.....
Now if we break it down, in the end if the last two were
Charizard vs Venusaur
Two things would happen
1) FLAMETHROWER BABY
2) Venusaur puts Charizard to sleep, uses leech seed and Sythesis to keep it's health up and toxic powder to lower and eventually beat Charizard
NOTE: Charizard beating Venusaur is most likely here but Venusaur still has a chance
Venusaur vs Blastoise
Two things would happen
1) SOOOOLAAAAR BEEEAAM
2) Blastoise uses it's amazing physically move to take aim at Venusaur's weaker defense and tries to work around solar beam with protect?
NOTE: Blastoise does not learn ice beam or blizzard naturally and is almost certain to lose to Venusaur because of that
And lastly
Blastoise Vs Charizard
Two things would happen
1)HYDRO PUMP BABY
2) Charizard lands crit after crit hopping hydro pump will miss taking Blastoise down with Slash or Flamethrower?
NOTE: Charizard does not learn Solar Beam naturally and is most likely always gonna lose......

Chase Randalow Besides, Squirtle/Blastoise's chances of coming back as a fighter is as likely as Ridley or the Yellow Devil being playable as of now.
Plz do a rematch with mega's and in 3D
They really should
that means they have to have a trainer
If Mewtwo can mega evolve by itself, so can the starters
+Red Eyes (Darkness Dragon) it was a wild pokemon fight
Which ment that he could fly without an owner beside almost all wild pokemon flies theirself
I'm sorry but in every pokemon game I've played with multilayer support, Charazards blow chunks, even after they get mega evolved they're only decent.
and BTW this battle is about the game, and not the anime, or the show, or any other pokemon crap.
This is so true it hurts.
Unlike Charizard's feeble physical attacks.
OOOOHHHHHHHHHHH I didn't think you could even burn a Fire-type.
ñeeh Blastoise Wins :D
Hammdog Porkington Shut up fool, a well trained Charizard can destroy a well trained blastoise anyday.
Hahahahahahahaha You've obviously never REALLY played pokemon.
Ok, when Blastiose first hit Charizard with the hydro cannons, why did Charizard's skull not immediately combust?
I mean, it is 2 streams exerting 90000 psi...
you make a good point... lol
My question is where does the water come from? Especially if it's enough to be sprayed at 9,000 psi, where does it come from?
Joe Bell possibly the water not only came from his body but thanks to rain dance his water moves increased, giving him larger amounts of water within his body causing unlimited 90000 water power >:) fuck ywah go blastoise..unless charizard new a dam move called fire rain, he MIGHT have stood a chance...might..go blastoise wooo!!
I'm the only Charizard fan here who understand and accept that blastoise won?
Walter Valentim no i accept it too
Walter Valentim Nope!
Maya Rodriguez, I wish everybody here could be like you
i love charizard but blaistoise is such a beast
I am a charizardfan.. kinda? I accept it as blastoise's win..... Who cares! It is just a video! NO need to fight! It Doesn't make sence that charizard didn't die instantly when blastoise used hydro pump.. Again... It goes trough steel...
Venusaur: Sleep Powder-> Leech Seed-> Synthesis = win. Especially 1v1
@@arsnotoria3755 yes exactly. People always make the grass types the weakest always. Venasaur is clearly the best starter in kanto. 😂
@@arsnotoria3755 Venasaur can´t learn Giga Drain nor Sludge Bomb naturally though...
@@levistokes3960 I mean grass is naturally a weaker type, just look at the type chart.
Blastoise=flak cannon /tank Charizard = Hellicopter Venosaur = infantry. ...I already know who will win
*venusaur
Garrett Rivas helicopter? More like a fighter jet made of paper
Luis Rivera lol
well it's true
Luis Rivera, to my knowledge Venusaur is actually the bulkiest of the trio
Jeez, this was more brutal than psyduck vs psyduck in the Mewtwo movie.
haha

Since this was a Pokemon battle. Wouldn't be funny if there was text that said Charizard and Venusaur fainted? lol
Lol that would be great
Even in 2022, Blastoise still would win. 99.99% of the Water-type learn Ice moves, so it can deal with Venasaur.
Blastoise now learn Shell Smash.
But Mega Evolution, Venasuar might be the best among the three cause of ThickFat.
DO LUFFY VS THAT ELASTIC GUY FROM FANTASTIC 4!!
you really think Mr. Fantastic could stand a chance against the future king of the pirates.
Nope, I want to see him suffer :D ONE PIECE FOREVER!!
Mr. Fantastic would fucking destroy him!
Super James I can't think of one way Mr . fantastic could beat Luffy. Chopper could probably beat him.
Mr. Man Even Ussop xD
You could do a slew of deathbattle on Pokemon alone.
3 way with the starters of the other regions.
3 ways with the various legendary trios.
3 ways between the starters of the same element (Charizard VS Typhlosion VS Blaziken, etc)
No! I cant risk seeing my favourite starters die again. ;-;
But if it was too happen this is how I'd think it would go:
Gen 2: Typlosion or Feraligatr
Gen 3: Sceptile or Blaziken
Gen 4: Infernape
Gen 5: Serperior or Samurott
Gen 6: Greninja or Chesnaught
For the each element,
Fire: Charizard or Blaziken
Water: Blastoise or Samurott
Grass: Sceptile or Chesnaught
It would be cool to see, but I dont want my childhood and fond memories of each game being ruined. ;-;
Luke Middleton Have you not seen Acnologia's videos on Pokemon?
A who now? :/
Luke Middleton
As far as I know, Acnologia is a dragon from an Anime called Fairy Tail.
As to the RUclipsr.... No idea.
I want to see all the Eevee fight each other.
The best offense is a great defense.
That was some Lao-zi advice
The 2015 Denver Broncos and the 2013 Seattle Seahawks definitely agree.
Wrong. The best defense is Shuckle.
unless u broke your hard shell
Agent North Dakota?
I last watched it 6 years ago then today randomly remembered it so came back to watch it again.
(amazing video btw)
99% of these comments are fanboys raging because charizard didn't win.
Suprisingly, i've mostly just seen people upset that venusaur didn't win
Nvm i scrolled down some more and found the little kids :D
+KinoFire LOL true dat
+KinoFire I agree with this
+KinoFire True, but i always choose blastoise in red/blue.
It's funny because in the competitive, Venosaur is by far the best of the starters.
These are not competitive / meta versions. These are wild, untrained Pokemon who only have access to their natural stats and move sets via leveling up; no HMs, TMs, or outside stat modifiers used.
@@HalfDemonInuyasha he’s just saying it’s funny because venasaur is the best one in the games
If we're talking about Mega evos Charizard is the best or more ofteb used and well Blastoise is the worst and least used
Base Charizard sadly gets beaten out by Stealth rocks and Stealth rocks is a really badly balanced move
@@SleepyBrady Correct!
@@SleepyBrady as for me stealth rocks are pretty balanced by Heavy-duty Boots

Look at em’ so peaceful, suddenly the rare candy attacked and they began to battle each other to test each other’s strength. Suddenly turns bloody and they go with it
Let’s go, finally some blastoise respect. It’s always just been Charizard, I’m glad my boy is the true champion.
0:13 I thought the hardest choice "was are you a boy or a girl?"
2019 gender identity in a nutshell.

I like Charizard, but he is the #1 overrated pokémon.
***** No, but he is indeed overused.
Blaziken is the true Fire Starter Supreme!
All the starters are overrated.
JHenry Most, yes, but it's obvious which starters are more beloved by the creators. Charizard and Blaziken definitely up there. Hell, Blaziken is so awesome, his Mega Evolution debuted before the other starters of his generation.
PackersFan PajamaMan noo that title goes to Infernape srry
Lets be honest, Blastoise only won because he was sleeping inside his shell most of the fight
Because the other others were too busy fighting each other.
Plus, it aint his fault Venusaur used sleep powder.
Its Venasaur's fault then! :P
Maxwell Williams Exactly, XD.
Exactly
A shame we haven't had more starter Pokémon three-way battles
So you want more 3 ways
@@makoshark6609 obviously
And Pokémon in general tbh.
Haven't seen one since early season 7.
At least Goro VS Machamp was really good.
3:08 That right there is the greatest thing I have ever seen in the history of the internet.
behold the blastoise master race
Knives77 I want to see him fight bowser in a death battle
fred dinkelberg battle of the turtles.
fred dinkelberg mega blastoise vs ultra bowser
why does everyone hate bulbasaur
I love him
Me too
**snuggles bulbasaur plush**
That's not true in the show someone already took balbosaur so some hate some love
I love bulbasaur and even ivysaur, but venasaur just doesn't look as badass as charzard and blastoise.
TheCassiusTain They don't simulate the matches. They run the numbers and compare stats and when they have a winner, they animate it.
dracothelizard467 I am pretty sure that they wrote a program that simulated (by comparing numbers) all 7000+ Battles and gave out the 7000+ outcomes and/or distribution in a simmilar manner as I have created an Excel document that lets you Input any Pokemons base stats, EV, IV and Level and run any Attack with any modifier (Attack and defence boost, STAB, Type effectiveness, Area, etc.) against any other pokemon (EV, IV, Base stats, level) and calculate the minimum, maximum and expected damage for a normal and a critical hit.
I want this program, so I would be able to compare any set of Pokemon.
TheCassiusTain Don't make it fool you. It is probably just an excel file.
***** well, no problem with that, a good excel file is better than every bad program
I want to offer major kudos for commenting on EV/IV training and such because they are a really big part of the player's focus in game, and do push some things to a very real extreme.
anyone else not surprised?
depending on which gen you use blastoise usually comes out to number one anyway
personally, i wanted venusaur to win
Another Pokémon Battle Royal idea: Groudon Vs Kyogre Vs Rayquaza
Ahhhh, its so hard to choose
Note: None of them need a trainer to use Primal Reversion or Mega Evolution.
Yeah, I was thinking about Primal Vs Mega
Yep, what The Squid Kid said, Water Spout Groudon, Ice Beam Rayquaza.
Frankly i expected just as much, Blastoise's armour would be too much for Charizard's aggressive combat style to even slighty damage.
One thing i'd say, Blastoise's hydro cannons would most likely rip Charizard's head off completely from that distance rather than filling him with water
charizard would have one if he kept attacking blastiose from the back
Dude the water from blastoise would've beaten him and fwi my favorite Pokemon is charizard
Hyper Leone same here and i like all 3 epecaily butt flower
QuilavaX at the time charizard died. he was doing jack shit against blastiose because it was raining, blastiose had set up 2 iron defense and had a resistence to fire to begin with and blastiose could have waited of the rain to kill him.
It's all about the analysis though
First DEATH BATTLE after so many years that I really knew who will win.
Venasaur would win. He's not gonna attack head on. He'd use poison powder & leech seed. I chose bulbasaur because he can break his opponents down. Blast pies would have zero defense against Venasaur & Charizard can't recover from being poisoned & seeded
I totally agree. But what did you expect, when Venusar goes last in popularity contests. It's always so biased.
remember no trainer influence. So u couldn't do anything about it.
Serratiger Explain how Charizard lost then.
Serratiger They don't use popularity contest.
