DMC history lessons seem like a fun idea. Definitely wouldn't mind more of those. Although it is unfortunate that a lot of these really old vids are apparently reuploads by others. Would be cool having an actual date to tie them to
HSID came out around late Spring (April - May) 05. Roughly a month or so after DMC3DA released. This, along with Panda Attack's Bloody Junk video started the combo craze. Excellent video 👏
Theres a japanese guy claiming to be the original maker of the video. And i dont think hes lying either cause he remade it completely and made a couple supplemental combo videos with a picture of his dmc3 copy on ps2 which he rerecorded on for the video (i also dont see why you would lie about a forgotten video either). If you want to ask him anything he is very responsive. Show him some support cause i feel kinda bad he has multiple reuploads of his video with at least 250k views total and nobody commented on his video till i did a year later.
It confirms my theory that advanced gameplay actually started on DMC 3 and only later technical stuff was discovered in DMC 1/2. I'll finish watchin the video later, but it's really good you put your time and effort into doing this collection of DMC history.
I cannot say for certain since I am not well versed in DMC1 history but I don’t think there is much of note styleplay-wise compared to when DMC3 started
Depends on what you call "advanced". Alot of tech for DMC1 was found in those early years. Grenade gun cancelling, sword analog cancelling, and shotgun hiking. The modern view of "freestyle" just wasn't developed then. It was also more difficult to record and share gameplay back then. 😂 I wrote a bit about this time period awhile ago.. Maybe I should share it.

Yeah, but at this point I think we should be thankful to still even have these videos

Also, you're correct. He's known as Prince of Devil.
was about to write "cant wait for the kail episode" when you mentioned him in the video lol good stuff
Nice vid, looking forward to seeing more. A vid on brea’s combo mad 3 would be really cool and maybe even one on the meme vid itself, Elysium
Up
You mean THE Elysium by THE sex god (god's father) master legend kail?!
