Even though this battle was definitely one of the easiest champion battles I have ever seen, the theme that came with it was still awesome. Also the scene where Az reunites with his Floette still makes me emotional.

Me too. Especially because she uses my favourite Pokemon (and in my favourite pokemon I mean Mega Gardevoir). And also not because she uses her. Its sad that Nintendo don't show her personality. Sorry for grammar.
Diantha being perceived as easy probably stems from a variety of factors regarding the game itself, namely in that X and Y are extremely generous in allowing the player to blatantly overpower the game in all the possible ways. Everyone has talked about the EXP share and we all know about how it drives people over the level curve, but the distribution of Pokemon in X and Y is also extremely nice compared to previous games and even SM/USM. You have a lot, A LOT of available Pokemon in the game, and often the strongest of the lot are given to you as literal gifts. You are handed blatantly powerful Megas like Charizard and Lucario, and whatnot, and stuff like Aegislash which is an exceptional Pokemon are also about and available amongst many other highly powerful Pokemon are given to you relatively easily. Not to mention Pokemon Amie which gives a lot of battle bonuses, O-Powers, mandatory Xerneas/Yveltal and whatnot, and you have a game that's literally feeding you all the ways to make yourself powerful in-game and overpower the entire game. If the game wasn't so generous and didn't hand over such blatantly powerful mons Diantha would be a good deal harder (I tried limiting myself in terms of no EXP share *and* only using middle-power mons for my team in a runthrough, and Diantha proved to be satisfyingly difficult: she's no Cynthia but the battle was a lot more fun and fulfilling). As for Diantha's team, it's not that bad and has some decent concepts behind it but it could use some slight reworking and better execution. Hawlucha, Goodra, and Gardevoir are fine and can stay though Hawlucha could probably use Acrobatics over X-Scissor for strong STAB that just hits hard. Gourgeist might be okay but it would be better if she used the super sized one, and with a more annoyer-esque set with Confuse Ray, Wisp, Leech Seed, and whatnot to make more of a nuisance. One of the fossil Pokemon could probably afford to be replaced, Aurorus has a bit of a clear purpose but Tyrantrum seems out of place. Perhaps replacing the fossils with stuff like Escavalier or something would help, Esca would cover Fairy and Ice *extremely* well and I think it fits her to an extent, while functioning as something of a hard hitter. Perhaps keep Aurorus and make it the lead to set up Screens early on in the match, which would definitely add some challenge faster. I don't know what else could take over some of the fossil's slots though.
I REMEMBER THIS! This was the 3rd Pokemon game I had played before, and my friend helped me a LOT. He gave me a gible which I made a garchomp, and I can mega evolve it. I remember this battle, the theme, the first time I fought Diantha, it was kinda easy. Xerneas almost died from hawlucha somehow. (I thought it would be a breeze) and then it was fine for the rest of the battle, but her MEGA gardevoir destroyed my xerneas, golem, and almost my lv. 72 garchomp. I was pretty happy when I beat the game, but when zapdos was running away and stuff, IT MADE ME SO MAD.
Pokemon X was an emotional rollercoaster. I would recommend Pokemon X/Y or Sword/Shield. They are great games. If you're looking to play a pokemon game, you could start with White, Black, soulsilver, or HeartGold to learn the basics, and then try out X/Y to learn about mega evolving, and newer pokemon. Then you could play Sword/Shield to learn about Dynamaxing and Gigantamax. I played all those games. Great games btw.
Holy shit. I know there's obviously a lot of older and younger people playing the games, but it makes me feel terribly old seeing people saying that they started with gen 6. Time flies.
I bought pokemon x and y when they were released in my Country the very first day. Looking some months later in the anime, i was impressed from the battles, the story, new legenderies and the movies and of course Ash Greninja battle bond. The mix between these made a historical change in pokemon series, that i thought why they were not patient to make this game. In my opinion i have the idea that pokemon x and y are one of the best (maybe the best video game pokemon and with one of the best anime) game who deserves an applause from everyone, either from those who have watched all pokemon anime and played the games like me and either from the new fans. Lastly, it is a great memory that should be kept in everyone mind
It bothers me how people bash on Diantha (and X and Y in general) for being easy. Can they not hear this champion theme? It's amazing! If they want a challenge, they can always turn off the exp share and problem solved. Also I think she looks cute 7:46 wait I don't remember him speaking?!
I don't like her music, either. Every song post gen 5 is forgettable. I have a lot of difficulty remembering any song from the new games. I don't know what it is, but since gens 4 and 5 (the peak of Pokemon IMO) the music quality has SERIOUSLY dropped.
XY: Worst Champion, worst E4, worst team, worst music. Easily the worst Pokemon games. Plus, no post-game content at all that can keep you playing for hundreds of hours like gen 4 and 5 did. I have no idea why so many people seem to like XY.
I swear they should have really made a sequel to this game like it should have had the xyz story and your rivals should be Alain and Sawyer Ps: I believe Alain would beat diantha

@Brian M I don't like going over trained to the league, since it kills the feeling of a challenge. Most of my pokemon at the time were around 54-59, by the time i took on her my strongest was at least 62 or so. Honestly i found Sheibold's Gyarados more of a menace than Diantha's entire team
@@apollojustice5338Gen 7 was okay. X and Y were game changers being the first games designed in 3D and introduced the best gimmick of all time, Mega Evolution. Gen 7 you had Giant Pokémon and Z moves. Not really all that crazy.
My first Pokemon game that I played was Moon. But... it wasnt really exciting it was boring so I just thought I'd just stick to watching Pokemon origins (The first Pokemon show that I've watch) But then I watched Pokemon XY and XYZ Anime. It was a great show. Then my brother got Pokemon Y. I got Sooooo excited to play it. When I did I was disappointed that Greninja couldn't change into Ash-Greninja But I Loved that I got to have a team with Charizard and Greninja but the battle with champion was disappointing but the ending was Beautiful I cried at the end. It was sooo happy.
The anime came AFTER the game so you can't play as ash greninja anyway and pokemon sun and moon are pretty good! Ultra sun and ultra moon you should get
I don't think it's underatted. It is the best selling 3DS game & it sells more than Gen. 7 did. That may not mean much, but it has been selling alot more than the other 3DS games. It's still a pretty good game. But I don't think it's underatted. In fact, I think it's overrated compared to Diamond, Pearl & Platinum. Though I rather play X & Y over Diamond, Pearl & Platinum anyday.
Gen. 4 being overrated also? Yes. Not exactly Gen. 5. In fact, Gen. 5 is actually underrated in my opinion. It sells less than Diamond, Pearl & Platinum, X & Y or any Pokemon game of the main series and almost everyone seems to never try it out. It's weird because back than when people either played or never played Gen. 5, alot of people hated it for no reason that it wasn't like the previous Generation of Pokemon or they either didn't either play it or they did & since times past, most people love it now. To me, Black and White & Black 2 and White 2 did so many things right in terms of it's gameplay wise, the difficulty, the story, the characters, the soundtracks, most Pokemon design & an how really balance game it is & it became one of my favorite Pokemongames of all time; along with Heartgold and Soulsilver, Firered and Leafgreen, Sun and Moon & Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon & even Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. So before 3DS games coming for it's 3D handheld shipment, we knew Pokemon would come to 3D with X & Y. We watch it on E3 just to get ready & hopefully be great like most of the rest & than it was a little bit of a letdown. Not like dropping down to a big pit hole like Diamond, Pearl & Platinum was, but it wasn't as great as I remember it to be & we still haven't had a expansion version for X & Y because of the Gen. 3 remake & than Gen. 7 was coming. Now there are some people that likes the game, but than there are many others that don't like the game. I like it just fine. It's a decent game, but it's not the best in my opinion.
Yeah Pokemon Z could've been the best if it fixed the flaws of XY.. Actually Gen 5 is pretty loved right now and that hate wave is now on Gen 6 and the amount of hate and bashing XY are getting is totally unfair.
By the way, when I say Gen. 4 is overrated, I meant Diamond, Pearl & Platinum, not the remake of Gen. 2; Heartgold and Soulsilver. And when I say Gen. 6, I meant X & Y, not the remake of Gen. 3; Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire.
Diantha really deserves better... love her design and everything. I'd rather she show up in other games, not Cynthia. I'm so tired of them always bringing back Cynthia - they should use that opportunity instead for other Champions. Give them tweaks to their teams, give them items to hold and be at Level 80+. Maybe then fans will grow to respect those Champions more and potentially learn to not simp for Cynthia all the time.
I forgot about Diantha, it's been long time since I played X and Y games. Yet, I didn't forget about Cynthia, who's my favorite Champion in all time. Hope to see Cynthia's new design when the Sinnoh remakes comes out for the Switch.
She is easy even without Exp Share. And honestly, only Gardenvoir and Hawlucha were a really threat. Her Pokémon are not that interesting, not like other Champions.
Princess Diantha? More like... ...Princess Diantha getting blown to pieces. (Too soon?) Edit: this is a tasteless Princess Diana joke for those who dont know. She died from an explosion. I wasnt trying to disrespect her, but I find it posthumourously(?) funny that Pokemon would allow such inspiration from Princess Diana.
squadalaguydc But... Diantha is apparently based on Audrey Hepburn. The actress. Diantha as a name comes from the Dianthus Genus - a type of plant. I’m fun at parties.
Wasn’t hard for me because: Some random guy gave me a TON of legendaries plus I had Snorlax and Dragonite and his LV. 100 Serperior So yeah I spammed Uber’s throughout the whole game. Which consisted of: Lugia Zygarde Latias Latios Mewtwo Yvetal Hoopa Keldeo Meloetta I forgot his name but I know he was Fire/Water type Celebi Mew Ho-oh Moltres (I picked the fire starter so I should’ve had Zapdos) So uh yeah, I was basically set while I’m seeing everyone else play the game how you should XD
Funnily enough, i actually had less trouble beating oras steven than i did diantha. Diantha is incredibly easy but she wasn’t horrible. Plus, i actually loved x and y. *braces for dislikes*
Guy: Welcome to the Salty Splatoon, how tough are ya? Me: How tough am I? HOW TOUGH AM I?? Just today I beat the Pokémon X/Y Champion Diantha. Guy: Yeah so? Me: With NO Mega Evolve Pokémon.... Guy: Uhhhhhh, right this way sir.
Literally the weakest champ I've ever fought, not because she's got a bad team, but because her Pokémon were horribly underleveled. I mean my tyrantrum was level 86 by the time I got to her just by beating pretty much every trainer on the way.
Diantha was much too weak for me. Lapras almost swept her whole team (I switched to Charizard and crit-hit KOed Mega Gardevoir with Shadow Claw, that's all, battle over!! 😊😊) Wait a minute...first try Sheer Cold and jackpot!! 😂😂😂😂 Oh, how many Pokémon would be screwed if it had 100 accuracy...
Diantha is so underwhelming, and deserved a better roster befitting her title. Here's why: First, the team itself. Not much coverage and too many Pokemon are weak to a single type (Fossils and Gardevoir are weak to steel; Hawlucha, Goodra and Tyrantrum are fairy food and-- additionally, Gourgeist--vulnerable to the cold). A (Mega) Scizor or Aegislash can sweep her entire team after one Swords Dance. Second, the exp share and her level. Even turning it off, the difficulty is still moderate at best, and downright a walk in the park at worst, even when in "set" format. Add in lucky crits and endures from Amie and the difficulty is like "beating a Citroen DS3 using a McLaren 720S on the quarter mile". (Get the reference?) Worse, she doesn't get improved teams when rematched. Third, the choice of moves. Only Goodra has decent coverage; Gardevoir is a little worse for lack of coverage against steel (namely Focus 'Miss'), and Moonblast is obsolete when one can have Pixilated Hyper Voice; Aurorus has high-risk, high-damage Electr-ice combo with dual screens and fails ultimately if one uses Brick Break; Tyrantrum has Head Smash but lacks Rock Head and Dragon Dance; Hawlucha is fodder for Aegislash; and Gourgeist is too gimmicky. And fourth, her ace Pokemon, Gardevoir. One of the best Fairy-types in the game and the name is unmistakably French, much like the region the game is based on, making it her perfect partner. Unfortunately, some wanking twat decided to put 85 on its Attack instead of Defense. While Thunderbolt provides versatility against aquatic and avian threats, Focus Blast provides coverage for pesky Steel-types since Ghost/Fight hits anything for at least regular damage, and Psyshock takes care of special walls; its final set would've been Psyshock, Hyper Voice, Shadow Ball and Focus Blast. Nonetheless, any strong physical hit will knock it out cold. All in all, Character: 6.3 Team: 3.7 Versatility and coverage: 4.1 Music: 7.0
I don't get why people call her weak like if you compared her team it actually kinda of good for me it's the easiest that over shadow that for me shes thought even with the easiness so pokemon community stop hating her its you guys that make her look easy if you want kalos to be hard then turn off the exp share
Story Time: first time playing through Y. im up to her Gardevoir and she annihilates my team, but.........my lord and savior, Bower the Chesnaught.......took a Moonblast.........then came the Wood Hammer........and that kids, is how Chesnaught became my favorite Pokemon

It’s her stupid fucking Gardevoir for me
Gotta Give Diantha Props for representing pokemon from her home region front and center. And then her theme telling us Hoenn was coming.
11:06 for those who completed OR/AS before going to episode Delta
She mega evolve her Gardevoir and slaughter my Chesnaught.
Screwed this! I'm sending out my Aegislash and then, boom! I win.
Nice voice overs. Wouldn't have minded at all if they were actually part of the game.
Pokemon X was the first Pokemon game I ever played. The nostalgia of watching XY vids.
Holy shit. I know there's obviously a lot of older and younger people playing the games, but it makes me feel terribly old seeing people saying that they started with gen 6. Time flies.
@@infinitydesu Especially since it's over 10 years old now
It’s good to see a Pokémon battle where it at least appeared as if you weren’t holding back.
The only that I like about this champion is the music, that's it.
That's more than enough! =)
Also I think she looks cute
7:46 wait I don't remember him speaking?!
She is always easy, even without the exp share.
I don't like her music, either. Every song post gen 5 is forgettable. I have a lot of difficulty remembering any song from the new games. I don't know what it is, but since gens 4 and 5 (the peak of Pokemon IMO) the music quality has SERIOUSLY dropped.
Well, at least you're not attacking me 😔
Even without the Exp. Share, she's still pathetically easy.
Agreed my friend. Let the naysayers keep their opinions to themselves
ok but AZ's reunion with Floette made me tear a little bit
AKA the absolute worst E4 ever.
XY: Worst Champion, worst E4, worst team, worst music. Easily the worst Pokemon games. Plus, no post-game content at all that can keep you playing for hundreds of hours like gen 4 and 5 did. I have no idea why so many people seem to like XY.

yeah im like 14 years old and i just got into pokemon in the gen 5 era becuse all i watched was the anime
Cool. I'm glad that Pokemon is actually still popular with younger generations.
I swear they should have really made a sequel to this game like it should have had the xyz story and your rivals should be Alain and Sawyer
Ps: I believe Alain would beat diantha
Great vid as always;)👌👌👌💙🐱🐱🐱
Her Pokemon League Battle may have been easy, but her Black Writ Battle Chateau Fight is a nightmare.
Don't make me hit you for reminding ,me
I swear to god seeing the ending, makes me want to cry, hearing the fletching cry literally made my heart hurt
The kalos elite 4 should’ve had the respective mega evolutions they had in the anime
Ahh Diantha. Why are you so forgettable yet so disappointing as a Champion "even with the EXP.Share off"

@Brian M I don't like going over trained to the league, since it kills the feeling of a challenge. Most of my pokemon at the time were around 54-59, by the time i took on her my strongest was at least 62 or so. Honestly i found Sheibold's Gyarados more of a menace than Diantha's entire team

your videos are perfect
I love this champion fight
This game is underrated.
Yes
Not really. It's the best selling 3DS game & it's sells more than Gen. 7.
Which baffles me to this day as Gen 6 was awful and Gen 7 was really good.
@@apollojustice5338 probably cuz of the anime
@@apollojustice5338Gen 7 was okay. X and Y were game changers being the first games designed in 3D and introduced the best gimmick of all time, Mega Evolution.
Gen 7 you had Giant Pokémon and Z moves. Not really all that crazy.
She's TOO. DAMN. EASY.
Honestly, she's a complete joke.
Diantha is amazing!!!
*PD:* what's the name of the font used in the video??
Nintendo rodin I think
Here is the part where I make a totally original comment about diantha being easy and cynthia being hard
She will be incredibly good if Gamefreak makes some remakes of XY. Remember me.
I will. Looking forward to it. X was one of my most favourite games ever.
Yes her team was weak and she was easy, BUT she still has one of the coolest designs and settings you battle in, and EASILY one of the best themes.
I was listening to one of your themes when the notification came...
AM I SEEING THINGS OR DID THIS DUDE LANDED SHEER COLD ON THE F I R S T HIT
Ultra sun and ultra moon you should get
Charizard Warrior you should play alpha sapphire or omega ruby
Sun and moon and ultra sun and moon are good and not boring. Whachu talkin' bout.

@Ducktective Duck JR Older than 12 bud
@Ducktective
I really don't think that attitude is necessary.
Underrated games in everyways possible.
Pokemon Z could've been the best game if it came out...
It's the first time that someone told me this.
In fact beside Gen 1,
Gen 4 and mostly Gen 5 is overrated in my opinion.
3; Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire.
such a good theme
Diantha really deserves better... love her design and everything. I'd rather she show up in other games, not Cynthia. I'm so tired of them always bringing back Cynthia - they should use that opportunity instead for other Champions. Give them tweaks to their teams, give them items to hold and be at Level 80+. Maybe then fans will grow to respect those Champions more and potentially learn to not simp for Cynthia all the time.
Thank you
I feel that pokemon x and y are very soothing
I forgot about Diantha, it's been long time since I played X and Y games. Yet, I didn't forget about Cynthia, who's my favorite Champion in all time. Hope to see Cynthia's new design when the Sinnoh remakes comes out for the Switch.
Smol Cynthia... Cute!
Yeah, about that…

Diantha resembles movie star Audrey Hepburn. I think thats where they got their inspo from with the pixie cut. She was a fashion icon.
Never played XY, but the Pokemon league is so beautiful omfg
A lot of people blame her how she was not a good champion it was not her fault it was the exp share but she is one of the best with a amazing team
She is easy even without Exp Share.
And honestly, only Gardenvoir and Hawlucha were a really threat. Her Pokémon are not that interesting, not like other Champions.
Still the easiest champion, and I didn’t use the exp. share during my play through of the game.
Still easy without the exp share though, just get a fairy type and you have half of her team beat.
Still easy even without the Exp. Share.
Look at Necrozma tho
Princess Diantha? More like...
...Princess Diantha getting blown to pieces.
(Too soon?)
Edit: this is a tasteless Princess Diana joke for those who dont know.
I’m fun at parties.
fun fact the design for diantha was based on Audrey Hepburn
I remembered i always owned Diantha's Mega Gardevoir easily with my Snorlax and his Heavy slam move.
she is honestly kinda awesome but yeah, GF shouldve done better and give her 3D models and make her stronger. her team is too easy 😅
Nice video
I would use Mega Lucario against Diantha’s Mega Gardevoir cuz I taught my Lucario Flash Cannon and Gardevoir is weak to Steel
How did you get flash cannon for lucario? I thought flash cannon is available in post game
Wasn’t hard for me because:
Some random guy gave me a TON of legendaries plus I had Snorlax and Dragonite and his LV. 100 Serperior
So yeah I spammed Uber’s throughout the whole game.
Which consisted of:
Lugia
Zygarde
Latias
Latios
Mewtwo
Yvetal
Hoopa
Keldeo
Meloetta
I forgot his name but I know he was Fire/Water type
Celebi
Mew
Ho-oh
Moltres (I picked the fire starter so I should’ve had Zapdos)
So uh yeah, I was basically set while I’m seeing everyone else play the game how you should XD
The fire/water pokemon you mention is called Volcanion
Don’t worry, the game wasn’t very hard without legendaries either lol

Guy: Uhhhhhh, right this way sir.
Can we atleast appreciate the fact that she has higher level Pokémon than Pokémon let's go
Literally the weakest champ I've ever fought, not because she's got a bad team, but because her Pokémon were horribly underleveled. I mean my tyrantrum was level 86 by the time I got to her just by beating pretty much every trainer on the way.
This song is a full on blast of nostalgia
At least the music was strong even if her team wasn't
Diantha was much too weak for me. Lapras almost swept her whole team (I switched to Charizard and crit-hit KOed Mega Gardevoir with Shadow Claw, that's all, battle over!! 😊😊)
Wait a minute...first try Sheer Cold and jackpot!! 😂😂😂😂 Oh, how many Pokémon would be screwed if it had 100 accuracy...
2:40 Well we know what Dino won
I don't remember AZ having a voice-
Fisherman Andrew with the six Magikarps was more of a challenge then Diantha.
Diantha is so underwhelming, and deserved a better roster befitting her title. Here's why:
First, the team itself.
All in all,
Character: 6.3
Team: 3.7
Versatility and coverage: 4.1
Music: 7.0
Nicely done.
Why the hell didn’t Diantha have a Florges?
Seriously, AZ’s love of Floette leaves me with a lot of questions.
Diantha is the easiest champion to beat with lol 😎
I don't get why people call her weak like if you compared her team it actually kinda of good for me it's the easiest that over shadow that for me shes thought even with the easiness so pokemon community stop hating her its you guys that make her look easy if you want kalos to be hard then turn off the exp share
I really like the theme song here ❤️
it was easy to beat diantha with this team which is bad
