A note on their toxicity, in the Amazon the natives tie these frogs up and tickle them to make them secrete their poison then they take a stick and make a burn on their arm and dab the poison in the wound to go on a trip. CLINT I'm so excited about my newest reptile! I hope they're on your list to cover some day on the channel- the viper gecko! Other common names are carrot or turnip gecko, all three common names are from their distinctive chonky tail with keeled scales. I hadn't even known about them until I went looking for a successor to my scorpion who passed and came home with a gecko instead... definitely different care from the crested but I can't even get over how tiny, adorable, and gorgeously colored he is. Also sassy, if he happens to catch a glimpse of his reflection it's on sight, he wants that intruder off his turf right now. I think the breeder handled them semi-regularly, as even though he's young he's not all that scared of me- we've not gotten to "trust" yet but he's just a lil guy I'll give him time. He doesn't ever need to be as chill as my crestie obviously, just want him to be comfortable with routine maintenance in the habitat, feeding, and not have a heart attack if I need to pick him up in a pinch. But he'll climb up onto my hand (albeit because he's looking for a spot to hide from me probably, he doesn't seem that bright) and I swear the enjoyment I get from his eyes alone, which look like a pair of polished coins, more than pays me back for his care, which I had anticipated being a lot more hassle than it has ended up being... like having a leo but teensy, kind of. I have no reason to say all this here except to boost engagement on your channel, I'm just obsessed with him he's so cute and most of the people in my immediate life really don't get it. XD

Love the best pet… series! That got me to thinking. When I was browsing on the morph market website and noticed someone has baby Nile crocodiles for sale. Do Nile crocodiles make the best pet reptile???? Please do an episode!

LOVE HIM so adorable, would love this to be my next, currently have a grey tree frog and he is SO CHILL, I only handle like monthly but he’s also slightly poisonous 😂 so this buddy seems perfect as my next

Hi! Any chance you could give us a video about hydrosaurus, and if it's the best pet lizard for us? :)) They kinda remind me of spinosaurus with their sail, I think they look stinkin' rad!! Love your videos to death. Hyperfixating very hard. 💜

I want to be a zoologist but frogs, toads, geckos, any little fast thing that isn’t a bug just creep me out, and I only accept bugs because when they run around I can just squash them and it’s over. Can’t do that with geckos and frogs.

Doesnt their waxy coating help to keep stuff out seeing as it keeps moisture in?

I'm absolutely losing it over the fact there's like 20 baby frogs sitting on that plastic climbing toy. This species is entirely too cute. So big and slow with gorgeous eyes.
