Tell the cameraman to concentrate on the WORK not the worker! We didn't see a thing of the measuring and marking! Big problem.

i want to learn! I am a screen printer and want to move up to multiple patterns. The measurements is what intimidates me the most! And that big table... I need me one of those. Although that T stick seems pretty basic with some 2x4s. I can do this!!

    This is great.
I'm curious about the measuring ruler that's used to measure screen space on the fabric. what is it? and how does it work vertically and horizontally? I'm used to making pencil marks on the fabric to mark the resignation marks, but it takes a lot of time and sometimes it's not accurate.

The screens are registered during exposure. Cross marks of artwork is aligned with the cross marks of the light table.
Then fine tuned by the right angle mark and the eyes of the printer them selves.
The screens must be the same size as they also must also line up on the exposure table.

A really good video! I have just started doing silk screen printing with my students and really found your tutorial perfect and full of insightful tips and techniques - particularly as pertains to registration for repeat print with the T-bar! Thanks again for doing this tutorial. Excellent stuff! Well done! Can you be contacted by email about the video?

Thank you for this tutorial! It was very helpful for a beginner like me! One question though, how come your screen doesn't slip around when you´re printing? Is it the material of the screen?

surely when she measures the the image length out on the fabric table she would need a second, longer measurement for the T-BAR to lay across???

This is fab but confuses me. When she lines up the screen images on the bed she doesn't account for the space between the image and the screen. *Scratched head*

you do not need offcontact for printing using waterbase, the mai thing is print panels 1 3 5 then flash them or let them dry before printing panel 2 4 6 etc so that you do not smudge

You only need to be concerned with the repeat of the design that is the width of the design that is the measurement that is important the screen measurement is irrelevant think of the design as a rubber stamp for the rubber stamp to match each time you stamp it it has to be moved by the width of the design on the stamp

You didn't wash the screen thoroughly, wash it with dish soap and shampoo before applying the emulsion.

You want we can speek in this bether languige.
