Question for you if you don’t mind answering: what size drift boat would you recommend for a first time buyer/user. I was thinking of getting an 18x60 Willies. There is a couple of smaller rivers that I would be using it on and a few larger rivers. Nothing with massive rapids though. I am just trying to ask around to see what most guides prefer for their personal opinion and maybe why they prefer that size. I really love the drift boat. They are so stable and just glide on the water compared to other styles of boats. Plus you can use them in so many styles of fishing be it lake, river, ocean bay, shallow water, deep water, with motor, without motor, etc. Thank you for your time and you amazing content. 👍👍
You are most welcome, and thank you for checking out my channel! I started with a raft until I was really comfortable and confident on the sticks. I then bought an 18' clackamax because it was light enough for me and nimble enough in difficult and dangerous rivers. My best advice is get something you can handle with confidence, and drift boat fishing safety is about preparation, knowing your river, and knowing how you will respond in each situation. I would also advise reaching out to someone who rows on the river you plan on spending time on- they may have good advice for that specific area! Best of luck and tight lines!
What's great about this is its not crowded with lots of fisherman. I looked on the map where this river is and its on Native land I believe. I'm going to check out the rates for a guided trip. I once had a guided trip on the Clackamas River for the spring run and caught a 25 lb bright silver Chinook, with an egg sack. It was great battle. The west is such beautiful country, and being from NJ, much appreciated.
Great video nice salmon. Are you a member of the Quinault tribe and how much for two people to fish for salmon I’m a disabled veteran and my friend is 68 we would love to go fish there for coho and chinook salmon thank you your videos are awesome keep them up beautiful lady

Need your info for a guided trip on the Quinolt. Just seen your Addicted fishing episode as well. My hats off to you ma’am. Please send me info to potentially book a trip. I live in Northern California and been steelhead salmon fishing my whole life. Our fishing is really on the decline, but my addiction is stronger than ever for these fish. So if I gotta travel two states then so be it. Thank you so much.
Love your quiet demeanor. The guys with the yee-haws, high 5s ect. do not appeal to me. I admire you breaking through a male dominated sport. Another woman who loves to fish.
Thanks, Karen! There is room for all sorts of folks in the woods and I like to think I have my space and audience. I appreciate you and your taking the time to leave a message! THANK YOU!

Haha Im eating some coho tonight for dinner that my dad caught on the Quinalt this last fall.
That is AWESOME!!! Enjoy!
Reel as slow as you can with spinner still spinning to maximize time in front of fish. I have found this to work best for me and others.
Great tip! Thanks!
What a great video. Beautiful river.

Your the best how do i get a guided trip ???
Hey Mike, I am not doing much guiding at the moment but feel free to drop me an email at ash@badashfishing.com
Hi 👋 ash I’m and my wife were probably gonna head over there for steelhead do you have any suggestions
Pay attention to the river levels! Also, hooking up with a native guide to take you on our waters is never a bad idea!
Do you run any steelhead guides? I'm in vancouver, wa and would love to get in a seat.
Yes I do! Feel free to reach out on my web page. I don't have a lot of available seats though, but would love to hear from you!
i wanna go lol
Me TOO! I wasnt able to get up there this year, with all my school obligations. Hopefully next year though!
Your the guide Fisher, me I'm the old guide hunter ,if that's a intrest, I'm either going both love to fish with u
My rule of thumb I'm hunting I kill if I'm fishing I catch , I'm not out on any day trip. , rule # 1 Feed or its , what's in the frezzer
Nice, I like that!
Clue is most will say I'm a asshole , but I'm how it rolls , your rules, my rules based on that pitculare of interest
Can someone that is not apart of the tribe fish that river with out a guide?
Non-Quinault anglers must be with a Quinault guide. It is a pretty awesome place!
