this interview was crazy good, hopefully everyone who's bashin' on Lavar sees this. the Ball brothers simply love the game of basketball and will do anything and everything they can to be remembered for what they were best at in this life. everyone needs to quit worrying about Lavar, he's all talk and he admitted it. he's not on the court; he's just being a parent. if you haven't heard of the Ball brothers, you will now because of their dad. stoked to see how the rest of this championship turns out for Lonzo.
@Aaron Smith, my sentiments exactly. Most of the "whino's" don't even have fathers in their lives, let alone someone that encourages them both in private and public to be great.
i don't understand how anyone can say they hate this man for pushing his sons to be great I mean take feelings out black men don't have this in they house hold but we crucifying lavar for being a great black father tf outta here if your reading this LAVAR good job raising three black men in a racist opinionated america
B.I.G.Mikey Rozay it's not that. It's the fact that he said he was better than curry.. he shouldn't have even said anything bc ow everyone will come at him now
sam sneed you hit it right on the nail. it's because everyone wants to be confidant. But there insecurities stop them. and seeing a stand up confident man like him makes people uncomfortable.
He is speaking facts and he is creating wealth for his family brothers sisters cousins etc..... He doing what the Jews, African, Indians, Asian etc.... I can only respect facts
Kendall was nice too but Lonzo got that super nice NBA athletic ability and Melo just much quicker than Kendall was. Kendall was great as a kid and a teen till others caught up and he was still good enough to go to UNC and play well.
Brandon Noah he's cool af but as a laker fan I'm spilt I want Lonzo but what if the lakers lose with Russell missing the game winner, is he gonna blast luke walton for not giving lonzo the ball and cause a bunch of drama?? I kinda think he would and it scares me.
Hoping he pulls it off and develop his brand to show the rest of these players you can own your own brand and life...waiting on Nike to tell you your worth...BBB, LeBron, MJ, Kobe, Magic...so many models to build independence and grow your money. I hope the sneaks come and are different and excellent value...clothes catch on and his boys actually prove out his confidence...All for this success story to win, so more can come.
doesnt anybody know that this man is the greatest advertising machine in the tripple b camp good publicity is good but bad publicity is cheaper he is the greatest marketing machine in the business. in the words of the late eazy e i got amillion dollars worth of publicity for free!
Only two stupid things LaVar has said is that he's better than Jordan and his son is better than Curry rn. Other than that this guy is sounding pretty competent
@5:20 that's real if you have a passion for something and get money for it you won at life. That is so real because a lot of times we end up doing things we don't want to to get money. I love this man passion and reality and perspective on life. It's good to see a father in the news and being talked about and he back it up with intelligence instead of ignorance and back up his comments and comes correct.
jay hall yeah, that bit hit me hard. passion: go to sleep thinkin about it, wake up thinkin about it. if you get to do what you love and happen to get paid for it, you've won in life.
10 million people cannot all play in the NBA. If all whites thought this way, poverty central would also be in the rear view mirror. There are more white people in poverty in America than black people. It has nothing to do with their mentality. Notice Lavar had really bad grades, he didn't get a good education growing up. Its nothing short of a miracle that he like other successful black people ended up being successful. The truth is that most human beings do not respond aggressively towards extreme difficulties in life. Person A is born, white, black, latino, Asian, indian, whatever.... it doesn't matter their race. If that baby has a mother that is on drugs, a father in jail, and family members all either in jail, on drugs, or working too long to be present, and the school they go to is filled with same kids with teaches that don't get paid enough to take their job seriously and police officers checking their pockets when they come into the building and the same clothes every day with holes in their pants and when they turn on the TV the only thing they see is black people being laughed at, shot to death, criticized, mocked, or showing off their cars, or entertaining people..... the likelihood that that boy is going to look at that and say "I'm going to break the mold and be successful" is nearly zero. Because they don't have any first hand concept of successful. All they see is that the people they grow up with either end up in jail, dead, on drugs, or working 24/7 pay check to pay check. Now take person B, they are born. Their father is a Mechanical Engineer and owns a couple million dollars of real estate and invests heavily in securities. The mother is a Licensed Clinical Therapist, a Writer, and a Part time psychology professor. All of their family have graduate degrees and are reasonably successful in their careers. All of their cousins get into private and ivy league universities, state schools are the worse case scenario. They attend a private school where they wear uniforms and recite Shakespeare at the age of 10, and are doing internships their senior year. Now what is the likelihood that person B will have forward thinking mentality. Probably 90+% They've seen success all around them their whole lives. They live with smart and driven adults who they learn from subconsciously before they could even talk. Chances are they even want to be better then their parents. They have every opportunity to become super successful, and they know that if they fail they have a solid financial and social support system to fall back on, which gives them the ability to be more aggressive in their approach to life. Now of course there are exceptions for both of these cases. But the exceptions are not the rule and we shouldn't look at the exceptions as a means of demonizing the majority. That's horrible. Its like saying because some slaves escaped from slavery, the rest were lazy and didn't have any sense of self worth. That's nonesense
Torres9 Nothing Lol there's more then one country in Africa. Don't always believe what you see on 📺 There are some very developed countries and some that are 3rd world. Just like in Europe, you got your wartorn countries etc.
He's a great father. That's the end of the story in terms of raising his kids and anyone who disputes that needs to check themselves. However, it's just as ignorant to say he's a bad father as it is to say he isn't gambling and likely setting them up for failure by calling out and going after other people saying they'll be better. He's raising the stakes for his kids every step of the way and he's not the one having to step out on the court to take on these guys. His kids seem laid back and cool people, which is why all this boasting from their father doesn't make a lot of sense. It's one thing to boast in college and make these predictions, but no one in the Ball family knows what it's like to play a minute in the NBA. So until they get there and start performing, this guy is gonna look ignorant every time he goes after a pro. Time will tell based on the results, but you have to respect his confidence as a father while laughing at his understanding of what they're getting into because he's never been there.
I'm from East LA and that's real talk having an X on your back playing a sport is laughable considering the Xs most of us have dodged thus far in life.
people and the media don't know about how this steph and lonzo comparison started. when lavar was interviewed by tmz, the tmz reporter asked lavar "do you think ur son will be AS good as STEPH?" what a stupid question, any father will definitetly say yes. which father would say, "umm i dont know, i hope he will be decent, maybe as good as dion waiters or something.
Be honest... Lavar Ball ain't too shabby... he got his business mind in the right place.. debate all you want... say he loud mouth, he need to shut up, he branding his boys and he will get paid.. Wish more Afrikan descendants thought this way... Just wish he had A Afrikan/Black Woman but Oh Well... I'll Take His Mind Frame any day...
i disagree with his take on "run and gun" basketball. As a basketball team you need to know how to play in the half court. In crunch time sometimes you need to get a layup. I like TRASH TALKERS, because love them or hate them they still always manage to bring a Level of Interest & even Entertainment to any sport they are involved with . , whether negative or positive they make you wanna watch them
May not agree with Mr. Ball on other topics, but regarding his philosophy on increasing skill level I happen to agree. I used to play my father growing up and he was 6'3 230. Obviously didn't go all out till my teenage years. But he pushed me hard and used his skill and size in order to increase my skill level in as many facets of the game as possible. Really appreciate what he did. He made me a smarter player and a better player all around.
Dude has a huge mouth, having said that I like him as a father. He loves his sons, he's their biggest cheerleader Notice he's always talking about Lonzo and Melo, you hardly hear about the middle son. I guarantee you the middle son is gonna be the best one.
Lavar speaking to those that's sleep in the mind... wake up!!! Imagine if lebron had done this coming out... that's hope for the next coming up that ownership is not just about a car or a house...think people...🤔🤔🤔🤔
Right- Now we see what's going on with LeBron.. He's frustrated cuz he has several people over him. If the Lakers offered lets say.. 0.025%- 0.01% ownership ... Would he come to LA?

FOX Sports this makes no sense if that was the case Gianni's would be the best point guard because of his height
@Aaron Smith, my sentiments exactly. Most of the "whino's" don't even have fathers in their lives, let alone someone that encourages them both in private and public to be great.
you have to admit, the dude may say alot of outrageous things but he is likable lol
yeah i hated this guy so much, but man if you want your sons to the very best you gota do what you gota do
Chris Webber4 lol for what reason did you hate him so much
Chris Webber4 how do you hate someone for having opinions that are in no way harmful or demeaning toward anyone?
this guy is a good father.
its just his personality.. he's just a really upbeat guy.
i don't understand how anyone can say they hate this man for pushing his sons to be great I mean take feelings out black men don't have this in they house hold but we crucifying lavar for being a great black father tf outta here if your reading this LAVAR good job raising three black men in a racist opinionated america

B.I.G.Mikey Rozay amen they man he got a dad Caleb swanigan is from my town n was adopted n they love his story SMH
B.I.G.Mikey Rozay thank u .. This guy is motivation to me ... It seems like Americans hate confidence, but love insecurities..
Extremely Underrated 1 people only mad because we have this love fest for curry but nobody would be tripping if he said Jordan or Magic
sam sneed you hit it right on the nail. it's because everyone wants to be confidant. But there insecurities stop them. and seeing a stand up confident man like him makes people uncomfortable.
Dudes a great interviewer! Thanks for letting us understand what goes on in lavars head and letting him speak, great topics and questions too!
They had him in the wrong role. He wasn't a good insider but he's a likeable dude in the business.
ESPN was just cramming programming just like they do now. Now Chris has more air time, he can just be himself
Im a white man from Brooklyn, New York & I like this guy. I mean honestly, how can someone not? This man is so likable.
I have a lot of respect for Lavar after watching his interviews
He is speaking facts and he is creating wealth for his family brothers sisters cousins etc..... He doing what the Jews, African, Indians, Asian etc.... I can only respect facts
the disrespect to kendall marshall lol
Kendall was nice too but Lonzo got that super nice NBA athletic ability and Melo just much quicker than Kendall was. Kendall was great as a kid and a teen till others caught up and he was still good enough to go to UNC and play well.
That is true they always compare players with the same looks or skin color smh
wish my paps was like this straight up
Idk why everybody hate on him I fw him
Brandon Noah he's cool af but as a laker fan I'm spilt I want Lonzo but what if the lakers lose with Russell missing the game winner, is he gonna blast luke walton for not giving lonzo the ball and cause a bunch of drama?? I kinda think he would and it scares me.
absolutely no reason to hate this man... he's publicly laying out a blue print, and not charging a dime for the schematics ;-)
I have to become a dad like this
Keep It Simple: Many of us would appreciate a father who has encouraged and trained us since birth
Chris is the best NBA analyst! Period!
He is genius . He is greater
LAVAR IS AN OG
Hoping he pulls it off and develop his brand to show the rest of these players you can own your own brand and life...waiting on Nike to tell you your worth...BBB, LeBron, MJ, Kobe, Magic...so many models to build independence and grow your money.
I hope the sneaks come and are different and excellent value...clothes catch on and his boys actually prove out his confidence...All for this success story to win, so more can come.
LaVar is such a likable dude. I'll cheer for your sons man. Good luck!

Only two stupid things LaVar has said is that he's better than Jordan and his son is better than Curry rn. Other than that this guy is sounding pretty competent
Juice The Kid those are the biggest 2 things he said hahaha, and then the billion dollar deal which isn't as stupid as everyone thinks
Juice The Kid and if you take those two statements as him creating a buzz and he starts looking like a diabolical marketing genius and great father
If something happen to Lavar the NBA did it lol
This dude is conor mcgregor as a dad.
Yea except his kids have to back up his statements.
Nico Emilio not really connor is arrogant Lavar is confident there's similarities but differences
MMA DYNASTY true

If more nonwhites thought and talked like this man ... Poverty Central would be in the rear-view mirror of most communities.
Van Iyke It's always the conservatives who bring race into things
its always the liberals where have you have been the last couple years, if a guy gets shot, automatic racism.

lavar Ball, mad respect. this man is a great father. period..
Things getting Hype man Ben Simmons & Lonzo Ball, Ball is being compared to Curry & Simmons to LBJ, I can't wait to see Lonzo Ball V Curry 2018!
Yep!!! Best thing too is Simmons will be a rookie still next year!
Crazy, but likeable
They took what he said about Lebron kids and twist it...cold world we live in...smh
much respect to the ball family BBB
great interview, very interesting
I like this MAN
He's a great father. That's the end of the story in terms of raising his kids and anyone who disputes that needs to check themselves. However, it's just as ignorant to say he's a bad father as it is to say he isn't gambling and likely setting them up for failure by calling out and going after other people saying they'll be better.

Lavar is a good dad, I like him
Anil Rai, his son is a thief. Enough said. Oh yeah his sons cant play ball either.
Dammm I gots to do even better as a Dad!! lol
I have zero problems with this man. Great interview.
This Man is Great
I respect Lavar Ball...he loves his boys man.
I'm from East LA and that's real talk having an X on your back playing a sport is laughable considering the Xs most of us have dodged thus far in life.
Love this dude...we think alike
people and the media don't know about how this steph and lonzo comparison started. when lavar was interviewed by tmz, the tmz reporter asked lavar "do you think ur son will be AS good as STEPH?" what a stupid question, any father will definitetly say yes. which father would say, "umm i dont know, i hope he will be decent, maybe as good as dion waiters or something.
This dude talking some real ish
Yes full video!! Podcast are great but videos are even better!!
i shouldn't of judged this man he kinda cool just the way he was interviewed and explained i got more insight on what he was about
I like lavarr a lot,my only concern is that all these media outlets are tryna manipulate him into making seemingly 'outrageous' statements.
this guy is entertaining
😂sounds ridiculous but so true. "How can you scout us when we don't run plays"
hes brilliant
LAVAR BALL AND THE GAME SOUND THE SAME 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Be honest...
The more I listen to him talk the more I like him
i disagree with his take on "run and gun" basketball. As a basketball team you need to know how to play in the half court. In crunch time sometimes you need to get a layup. If you don't get enough game time practice at half court offense that's when you see teams jacking up threes as the shot clock runs down.
lavar ball adoption agency.
Lmfaoo he funny asf brah
"preconserved notion"
killacuz3 was searching for anyone who noticed that!!💀💀💀
This guy is so real
I could hear this guy talk all day, positive energy bring positive results
LaVar grew on me amd he has a charm despite his controversially bold statements
I wish this guy was my dad
LaVar is the man.
Mad respect for this pops. Poppa Ball. 🏀
I was pretty critical of LaVar and his opinions before hearing all this. Dude's just a great father. It's good to see what he's been able to do for his boys. Now I just have respect for this man. Of course Lonzo is playing my Alma Mater in the first round so I can't wish him and his boys too well, but I'm realistic UCLA is going to crush Kent State...
That's a Proud Daddy right there. The man fiercely protects, develops and encourages his sons. He's a bit boisterous but hey... he's all heart. Can't knock him for that.
I love this guy... he's taking control, not making excuses and defending his arguments in an educated manner ...
I just want to comment because years from now this will be a legendary watched interview. Love this man as a father!
He says some outrageous stuff but you can't deny his heart I in the right place. He just wants his sons to be great and he has a lot of confidence in them. Need more parents like that
chris was trying to get him to speak about Christianity, Chris' religion because he asked question the answer of which he already knew, "you said something about speaking things into existence. what does that mean?" that's a very popular Christian saying I'm positive Broussard has heard ages ago in his own Christian experience. just a hunch
real talk i love lavar ball...pause
I like TRASH TALKERS, because love them or hate them they still always manage to bring a Level of Interest & even Entertainment to any sport they are involved with . , whether negative or positive they make you wanna watch them
Dude is a straight up SCG baby!
Can listen to this guy all day. You ask you will get an honest answer. I support 1000% and gtfoh haters...
My 1st watching the interview 2022 does he seem crazy now… That his kids are n the NBA n one of them is Rookie of the yr.. SALUTE 3xB
I should be sleep or studying but I watched this whole thing
we need more fathers like him in the black community
Why do they hate this man? He is just being a proud father to his sons
I never knew that Chris Broussard had a podcast/show.
Well, I guess you can say that Lavar washed away that prior lack of knowledge.
Wish this dude was my dad
I can't believe I watched that whole interview, lavar needs a show
I love how he described the x on his kid back... real og answer
Notice he's always talking about Lonzo and Melo, you hardly hear about the middle son. I guarantee you the middle son is gonna be the best one.
What's there not to like about this guy? I understand him. Even the comment about Lebron and his sons. I get what he was saying.
Respect this man.
Lonzo is going to have to carry his brand solo. He the only person in that family that can live up to hype his dad is creating prematurely.
Great interview spoke nothing but real stuff. I got mad respect for his family.
Only thing I didn't like was him keeping Melo from USA bc they didn't choose lonzo,
who cares, theyre his sons not yours. not like he prevented u or any of yours from doing anything
Knew Lavar was different when I saw that christmas video a while ago lol.
Great respect for this guy. May say some wild things but he's an amazing father
this interview will be a classic in 10 years Lonzo 2020 mvp
Lavar speaking to those that's sleep in the mind... wake up!!! Imagine if lebron had done this coming out... that's hope for the next coming up that ownership is not just about a car or a house...think people...🤔🤔🤔🤔

i agree with him on this...but the guy is crazy lol
