You paint with soap as a painter does with oils. So creative. Thank you for sharing. I don’t know how you don’t have a million subscribers. Your talent and artistry is unmatched.
That's so true. This is my favourite soap channel, I love how much detail she puts into things, and she's so good at explaining how things work and why.
I agree! I'm shocked that there aren't a millions subscribers too. This channel is my favorite although I've been really sick so unable to do much of what I want to. Lisa helps me dream of all the soaps I hope to be able to make!
I just find it very interesting that you weigh by subtraction instead of addition. My brain just does not work that way lol. Just discovered you recently (RUclips algorithm finally suggested you after I follow 3 other soap makers lol) and wow, this is stunning. I love your explanations of how you build your designs.
Thanks so much GhostGirl, yes I like weighing that way when adding to a pot with something already in it as you can make sure everything is nice and accurate. If you add to a pot with something in, if you go over a bit then you can't really do anything about it.
I just commented the same thing! They really do look like endpapers, so the book-themed scent is the perfect choice. Lisa, did you plan that on purpose?
Thanks Lisa .. l loved this challenge … and although I didn’t actually manage to get the correct desired out come I too was happy with the design it made ….. cheers Teresa
Always a pleasure to watch you soap Lisa. Thanks for another beautiful soap tutorial. That fragrance sounds lovely, I love the smell of pipe tobacco before burning.
I love to watch all the videos of "The soap club challenge " , you get so many different ideas on how to accomplish said challenge. You all come up with some rather unique soaps. On top of that I learn so much. Thanks for sharing your rendition of a modified peacock swirl, it turned out pretty cool! Jill Gross
Some great Artistic Content youve been putting out wtg lisa, Im Glad you took a leap of faith on the whole rules & having to do extra to put out what You have reached a whole other level my friend..
That's the first time I've seen this done in such detail. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and creativity. Now I understand the process and the pour. Such a fantastic bar with incredible detail. 😍 😍
Uhuh these are beauties, I love this pattern and will need to try one day! Thank you again for another beautiful soap and for the masterclass. And all the best luck with the competition❤️🙏
This is absolutely beautiful! You always make it look so easy. I've been soaping for just 4 years, and I've yet to find a slow moving recipe that I really like and of course to do this I would need to have one! You inspire me! Thank you for your amazing tutorials!
Looking for soap techniques, and stumbled on your channel and instantly subscribed. I made some a couple of years ago, and just getting back into it. I love the way that you explain everything and demonstrate clearly. It makes it interesting and makes it 'possible' for us to follow for ourselves! I am looking forward to trying out some of these examples. I only use clay for colouring and essential oils as I have a lot of allergies and cannot use anything else.
AW, such a lovely comment, thank you so much that's really kind of you to say Ann Dickson and thank you for taking the time to leave a comment for me :-)
I sat down to watch some soaping videos after soaping most of the afternoon and I had to laugh when I saw yours because we used the same colors in our soap today (different vendors but same colors). What are the odds of that? My fragrance oil was Sensual Sandalwood from Brambleberry. I couldn’t find my hangar so I ended up doing a spoon swirl and finishing it off in the oven to make the colors pop! But I’m loving your design. My fragrance oil is very slow moving and I would have loved to try this design. Maybe next time.
I think it's always amazing how sometimes that happens. It happened to me the other day, I had just made a soap that was a gradient with mini drop swirls on the top, did my washing up with RUclips on and Tammy from Walnut Creek had a video released doing exactly the same soap as I'd just made (different colours). I told her and she said that she had just made a confetti soap that day and washed up, as she did so my video came on that I'd just released of a confetti soap, so yes I can very well believe it - spooky things going on :-)
When you use pre-dispersed colorant, how do you know how much to use? Do you just use 1 tsp ppo like a regular usage rate or is it different because it's dispersed? I tried to use a colorant calculator that is designed to tell you how much to use if it's dispersed and it went over my head.
When I make my predispersed colours up (TD etc) I always make them at a specific rate, which for me is a 1:2 ratio, so that's 1 part colour to 2 parts oil, always done in weight. So I might make a whole pot up with 100g of TD and 200g of oil. Then when I come to use it I work out my normal usage rate for the colour, so for example if I had a portion of soap with 200g of oils, I would normally need 1.2g of TD. Mine is dispersed in oil so I take the 1.2g and multiply it by 3, so I need 3.6g of my dispersed TD.

That's so kind of you to say R. Durante, thank you so much 😊

Those are absolutely incredible! The color, the design, STUNNING!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
I love that they not only look like endpaper, but smell like books, too. Wonderful!
I didn’t think about this until you said it, but it really does look like endpaper. Wonderful! Perfect scent to go with it.
I just commented the same thing! They really do look like endpapers, so the book-themed scent is the perfect choice. Lisa, did you plan that on purpose?
I had to google endpaper - ooh I didn't know it was called that, but I do see exactly what you mean
I would love to say yes, but no, I just went for more masculine colours
Thanks so much Renee

Oh i have been busy and couldn't be on RUclips for a while. What a relief it is to watch your videos again! Like water in the desert lol
Welcome back, thank you so much, so pleased you're enjoying my videos
Wow, those first bars you cut from the loaf mold (the groovy ones!) remind me of the way ocean waves were drawn in old illustrations and I love them!
Thanks so much Kate, I really like the weird ones as well
Always a pleasure to watch you soap Lisa. Thanks for another beautiful soap tutorial. That fragrance sounds lovely, I love the smell of pipe tobacco before burning.
Oh, those turned out nice! And a book-themed fragrance oil was the perfect choice for these -- they look like marbled end pages in a hardcover book.
Thanks so much! 😊
Both pours are amazing! My favorite is the second pour with the way the colors seems to blend in together. Thanks for sharing your technique.
Thank you so much KIM , that's very kind of you.
TY I thought I needed to buy a second cutter to cut from the bottom. Now I know how to cut both ways

When doing the curls, I can't tell if you are going down to the bottom of the mold or just making the curls on the top. Very pretty
Oooh! Do you sell that stopper piece for the soap cutter? I always cut too large with that cutter!
Fantastico ❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much
Wow!
Thank you so much Renee

@@IDreamInSoap Do you multiply it by 3 because the ratio is 1:2 and 1+2 is 3?
I was confused on how you cut the loaf. Turning it over so many times I could not find the topside so I wasn't able to follow you.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hi Sofi I'm so pleased you liked it and thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment for me ☺️
These colors look really bad together.
Oh, gosh, sorry you don't like it, but thanks for taking the time to leave a comment anyway
i saw all these on the soapchallegeclub hashtag on ig and couldn't wait to see your video! 💜
Hope you enjoyed it!
