I feel you. In the beginning, I was so annoyed I had to change all my videos to the vertical aspect ratio, zoom in, and all that, but the more I did it, the more I slowly enjoyed making Reels. It took me some time to learn and to even become good at it, but now most reels reach thousands of new people (And I do not have a big following at all) so Reels are great for cold leads and getting your name out there. I still prefer RUclips for actually building a community and more in-depth stuff
Good tips man. I 100% agree that posting reels is a must if your goal is Instagram account growth. Also posting on other platforms helps as well. I’ve seen massive growth in my IG from these 2 strategies.
thats so crazy, your reel came up on my IG and I was just browsing through youtube and came across this video and connected the two. my minds blown, you inspire me to push to learn how to shoot better videos!
do you add music in Premiere pro or in Instagram and do you sync your cuts and transitions to music in premiere pro and then upload on instagram? if yes then does instagram allow it?
I went from 2k to 215k on IG in the last 2 months from just being consistent. I would upload 2-4 pieces of content a day. I would reply to as many comments and DMs as I can so that I can connect with my nation (followers). No trending sounds, no consistent hashtag strategy. It's all about quantity AND value!!
Thanks for sharing your experience in making reels! Hearing your initial stubborness really resonated with me because I also felt confused about how I'd fit my work into the format. Seeing your growth has been inspirational, and I'm glad your reels have been working for you 🔥
What’s crazy is I actually followed you on Instagram because of your reels and clicked this video without realizing it was you 😂 I seen the content and was like “hey that looks familiar”
This is very helpful, thank you! I was late to the IG game and created an account back in 2017, and as an artist I find it so hard to compete with the millions of talented artists out there that create reels and promote their artwork. I've been sticking to photo posts and the occasional video, but learning that reels can help increase my number of followers has given me a better understanding of why they're so popular. I would love to reach as many people as possible to gain more followers and make more sales in my online art shops, so I definitely have a lot to think about. Thanks again for sharing these tips! ❤
Step 1: tease them with what's to come Step 2: Don't make it bad, make it good instead (brilliant) Step 3: deliver on step 1 but make it too fast to actually comprehend so they have to watch it again to try to understand what is going on.
Thanks for the tips! I have been posting Reels like crazy and some work and others don't. Some have gotten a lot of views but haven't had much success having those views translating to followers. I have had more luck with Tik tok.
@@Henbu Do it, man! I still try to make long format content vertical and it goes nowhere. When it's short vertical, it does better. I'm really not a fan of the format. 😁
Fascinating! Can't wait to get out of quarantine (traveled in Africa, back in Taiwan) & test video uploads to Reels. I discovered that my most popular IG vid uploads were handheld S22 captures vs. my traditional multicam YT style vids.... Love your LUTS. Been following you on YT for 5+ years.
Really strange when everybody says that images will not be recommended to anyone else! My wifes account haves 78 k and each time she upload 1 image she gets around 15k followers, sometimes with not even Tags, so whatsup with Instagram? When she uploads REELS do not have that engagement compared with photos.... and they are good reels.... So this is really really strange, any idea whats happening ???
Question for you: I have 3 ice stores. I.e. local businesses. If a do a lot of reels I may get more followers but they may be in other countries and not able to reach the stores. Due to the decreasing organic reach I would like followes that I do reach organically to be close. So should I conclude that excessive use of reels is bad for me?
Hello Folks, I wanna ask you which camera some of the instagram models are using. For example. Dennis Boeer. Michael Yerger. Jaco Brott I would like to know which camera are the using, I love the quality of the pictures. Also are they editing it, how? If someone know, I would love to hear that from you. Thank u very much
I’d love some insight into how you created the blue hour reel. Did you edit this video on your phone? Did you pull the audio into your editor and cut it there? Where did you get that first clip? Was it a template that you could just swap out footage with? LOVE your edit and I’m curious, any insight would be appreciated!
Love your ideas and your creativity thank you for your generosity and sharing! Quick question I see you're using a Sony camera I would like to just use my Android phone. Can I still get decent reels going with that? I have a digital camera I could use I actually think my phone might be better. Please advise if you can. I'm sure there's other people out there with the same question right?👍
Great video. would you mind covering in your next video what works best for reels? like post it on your profile (but if I do it will mess up my profile scheme) or post it and hide it after some days?
thanks for the video just discovered you on the YT home page on desktop, subscribed and gave a link - curious, what mic are you using? Is that the DJI mic?
Hey there! Maybe a stupid question, but I would like to know where do you actually get this type of trending start footage for your reel in HQ - like the hammer on piano for instance :)
Is it best to upload reels to your feed as opposed to not? I've noticed reels that go on my feed perform a lot better view wise than when i upload and don't include them in my feed
Helpful video! Do you have any tips for slow-mo shots? Sometimes I don't know yet that I want a shot in slow-mo. Currently I'm filming everything at a higher frame rate by default just in case I want something slower (I find that if I film in 25-30fps the video gets super choppy when I slow it) but I'm wondering if you have any other tips?
If you edit everything on your computer to upload as a reel and if you use one of the "trending" audios on IG how do you rip the audio from IG to use in your editing software? 🤔
Just RUclips the audio and download the song, then Instagram recognizes the song and now your video shows up under videos with that song, Instagram doesn’t always recognize the song which does suck it happened to me on two videos I uploaded
@@PeterGilguitar unless you edited the video through Instagram I don’t think there’s an easier way, and editing within Instagram I don’t think is even possible, in comparison to what your able to do on a computer
Thanks for the advice sometimes I put a lot of effort into a real and it gets barely any views. Then the next one is just straight from the camera rule and gets 5 to 10,000
Was kind of hoping you could explain how you edit your videos in a pro software and bring it back to the app in hopes of matching to the sounds inside instagram. My issue is I shoot from a pro camera and just bring the clips to my phone. I have come to find that the lack of color grading, or editing in a pro software has my content not looking the best; Equally an issue is the sounds in the app are not necessarily available anywhere to be sourced or exported. I imagine you just edit abunch of clips in the pro software without sound or captions -- or maybe captions are used -- and export, then go to the reel function and just piece them in that way? Any clarity would be greatly appreciated.
hello I have a question. When I edit a reel I will use the music in the video to edit on beat and when I upload it, it uploads the reel with my original sound and not the one of the actual owner or from the instagram account where I got it from. So my question is how do I post the reel without me being the original sound?
Wow I had no idea that was you that created that reel with the hammer on the keyboard. I saw that a few times on Tik Tok. How do you feel about this latest trend of editing real quick photo or video reels. I’m constantly seeing the ones that include the tutorial. I mean I have one on my other IG account but seems like everyone is into that fast paced photo editing for Reels (depending on song choice) now and it’s losing its originality it seems. That said I’m about to make a few more myself LOL!!!
Thank you for this wisdom I found value in this and that’s hard to come by with so many videos out there. Also, the length of this video was good because of the content, videos are too long nowadays
Thats wild i do remember seeing that reel of that plane passing over you! I remember cause i wanted to recreate that... I live close to jfk airport in nyc

Are you filming vertically on your camera for IG or cropping in post?

3:08 really nice
Do you film vertically with your A7? I also have the same camera and wondering how you shoot to optimize for the Reels dimensions
Thanks!
Oh snap I saw your reel on Instagram 💯💯🔥🔥🔥
Can I ask you which setting do you have for the video? Canva doesn;t accept my video because they are too heavy! Thank you

Which camera and lens you prefer for shooting viral reels?

Tik Tok is easier. Find a niche. Analyze the sounds to the niche and the quality content of the videos under that certain sound/niche.
