I love this more than the piano version. When the hand changes either to lower or higher position, as it slides, it gives it an effect that the piano can't give. Beautiful :')

When I listen to this song I can't imagine what he was feeling when writing this. I interpret a feeling of despair and pain and loneliness when I hear it personally. It's a piece of art that allows you to feel all of these things in an overwhelming sense which brings me a sensation of crying each time.

This is the most refined version of this beautiful masterpiece. Both composer and performers have done a magnificent job.
The first time I heard this song was in the movie called "The Pianist." In that movie, I saw how much emotion is in this song. Then I heard the violin version in the movie called "Karate Kid". The girl who was playing this wonderful piece showed so much emotion and passion. I love this song so much. Chopin will be forever remembered.
I just finished watching a movie where this piece was playing in a couple of scenes. A young chinese girl auditioning for a music school, the actual audition and of her practicing with her piano teacher.My grand daughter is sitting on the lounge with me, the young girl started playing and within 20 seconds I had tears in my eyes and I went to another place. This music is haunting, powerful, sad, hearful, SO emotional. Only one instrument actually makes tears fall out of my eyes...the violin

I had heard it many years ago from a friends father who played Classical music all the time. Just heard it again in a small independent film called "Strangers in Good Company" and it was just full of the the classics. Absolutely beautiful, especially on piano alone.
