If you come on my RUclips channel just to hate me and send me vile shit, it will be removed and you will be blocked, so just save yourself the time. It's also VERY obvious when you don't watch the video (which, fair, ya boi needs to learn how to make shorter vids) but if you're gonna hate me, the least you could do is watch what you're hating so at VERY least you're not spouting off just incorrect info left and right. Thanks.
    XOXO 😘

Fun fact: Todd Howard confirmed that New Vegas is canon to the show, the bombing of Sandy Shore happens after New Vegas

Some great life advice here, thanks Liana. Hope everyone can re-learn how to chill, somehow we've lost that ability over the years because of social media. As the saying goes, if it's not going to matter in five years, don't spend more than five minutes being upset about it.

Ayyy congrats landing the position of Fallout CM! Makes all the sense in the world.
Not to gas you up too much but part of the reason I clicked is because I fully assumed "that was some good social coverage, prob Liana" and wanted to hear your post-mortem.

14:30 Agreed! Maximus character is weak not because of the actor who absolutely carried it, it's Maximus' inconsistent and uncharacteristic/lore relative writing. They need to just make Maximus' writing better cause all the actors did amazing.

Fallout was really good and I'm excited that it has been confirmed to already be renewed for season 2! I still need to play that murder mystery DLC.

Fallout is an interesting case given that a lot of people already had animosity to Bethesda's handling of it in 3,4 and 76. It's not like the TV show was some sort of inciting incident to perceived mistreatment of the IP, hell that even predates the Bethesda acquisition with Tactics and BOS. These people weren't gonna be happy no matter what. I had gripes like how the environment would change so dramatically between scenes and how some of the factions were handled but ultimately an otherwise solid show.
Excited and admittedly nervous to see how they deal with it in Season 2 but I'll be watching, that much I do know.

I ❤️ you! I 💯 percent agree with all your points. You gotta give a little and just enjoy the ride sometimes. They got so much right, that any little tiny thing does not bother me if it doesn't match completely.

This doesn't seem to be a question that'll be answered by season 2 because the character has died at the end of season 1.
How is Maldover surviving for over 200 years?
The actor (Sarita Choudhury) that plays the Hollywood Forever leader from the past scenes in the church while she's talking to Cooper Howard..
Is the same person in the future who kidnapped Lucy's Dad?
She isn't a ghoul, still looking great.
    Also before I forget..
In the credits of Prime Video: episode 7
Why does it state that there's a Minutemen radio?

They genuinely destroyed Mr. Houses character. The changing of his motives to a ridiculous and illogical pursuit of profit from his brilliant plan of self preservation is really bad writing. I feel as though this new crop of writers can build little themselves they seem to have simply destroyed what was built before them without creating much of anything.

Who's to say he wasn't playing them for fools, in New Vegas he states that he knew of the date the bombs dropped by almost on the day. Also House in 2281 is an ideological autocrat, who knows what he says his future of Vegas is true or not.
For all we know he could just kill the courier off after they disagree with him like in the games anytime you don't side with him.

It has been really frustrating to see the discussion of the New Vegas retcon, because it is so blatantly an attempt to soft-reboot the series I don't get how others don't see it. When the show is set years before the game, yet includes no or drastically altered things from that game, it is pretty easy to determine that that stuff is just no longer canon. The writers clearly made a mistake with the whole "Fall of Shady Sands" thing, which is made so transparent by Todd Howard just assuring everybody New Vegas is still canon yet not actually going into detail on how that is the case. I know that he likely can't without treading on the toes of the show's writing team, but judging by the obvious inconsistencies I think it is more likely that nobody actually cared. It just feels like throwing away somebody else's work, which it pretty much is.

The show takes place 15 years after new vegas. All the major story beats are there and are loyal to the entire lore of the entire franchise. Shady Sands being nuked feels like natural lore progression. Previous games extensively discuss the decline of the NCR, including new vegas. Everything with the lore is fine, new vegas super fans are just knee jerk reacting instead of thinking. Meme judgements do a disservice to the fandom.

    • @fiji9258

@@alabaster_squier It takes place 4 years before New Vegas.
Does it really feel like 'natural lore progression'? To have a major faction's capital blown up, not by their actual enemies, but by a pre-war defence contractor that up until that point didn't even exist as a functioning faction in the lore? Is it loyal to the story to have New California effectively be a wasteland? With absolutely nothing from the other games retained? It's just a soft reboot. They want to write what they want without being held back by lore from a 10+ year old game less than a fifth of their potential audience had played. It is the exact same thing they did with Star Wars. It is so funny to me that people care more about the Halo show, which was a game series with a surface level story that only existed to justify the shooting gallery, than a series that is precisely known for its story.
I'm not knee-jerk against any changes, I'm against changes that are inexplicable and childish, like a group of companies deciding to end the world to make more profits. Or a defunct company from hundreds of years ago suddenly having nukes out of nowhere. I don't even think these are nerdy lore concerns, just examples of poor, inexplicable writing.

    • @japaduane7349

Where does it say the bombing is actually in 2277, it just says there was a fall in Shady Sands, billboards indicate it was the 'first' capital of NCR, so maybe that's what it meant and a new capital for the NCR exists somewhere else. A timeline chart indicates further right means in the future, so the nuke picture is after 2277, whenever that is. You are just assuming that both the chart bubble about the fall of Shady Sands and the arrow pointing into the future tot the nuke happen simultaneously.
Another thing is Lucy's father runs to Vegas, which could mean he's in league with House to some extant. They are both from pre-war and may have talked. It's completely reasonable with that in mind maybe House blew up Shady Sands after the 2nd Battle of Hoover Dam when the NCR tried storming the strip as we see in the show, him blowing Shady Sands as a crippling attack and to get the heat of NCR's soldiers off him.

@@fiji9258 The bomb that fell on Shady sands fell 3 years after the events of new vegas and the show takes place in 2296, are you high? Also the Enclave and vault-tec have nukes. You would know that if you had played 76.

@@alabaster_squier 76 was just a cash grab. Plus, we're not talking about what is happening now in the show, we're talking about what happened to Shady Sands in 2277, when it was nuked. Why would you nuke a place that already fell? Why not the new capital?
