Menards has an accessory pack that contains 90 degree plugs. They are white so would still need to paint black, etc. www.menards.com/main/search.html?sf_categoryHierarchy=&search=2794681+or+2794035
Thanks for the informative review! Menards has done a nice job on the bridge and the blinking lights add a nice touch. Not surprised that this bridge is being offered on that online auction site at well over $100.00. Happy Holidays to you Eric.
I bought 2 of these from Menards and haven't figured out where I want to place yet. They are very nice and some will buy and as always put on Ebay with a marked up price
That looks like a bridge that I had in HO scale as soon as I saw the picture on the box I'm like I remember that. I had two dummy tracks on it with running sideways over the layout. It wasn't lit though.
Can these Menards bridges be connected say putting two bridges together to make 1 long bridge? Are there any connections on the ends of the bridges to connect them? Thank-you.
Great video! I’ve been looking for a 2 track bridge for a while. I may try to Frankenstein two of these together to make a longer span. Thanks for sharing
Hello Eric I am enjoying your videos a lot. Can you please tell me in Lionel Ready To Play and O gauge are close enough in size with one another that this bridge would work with that kind of layout?
When my mom's neighbor died I was over there as they were cleaning out the house. In the garbage can I saw a metal railroad bridge I pulled it out and I could not find any manufacturer stamp on it they gave it to me for free I have it in a box somewhere to be used later on it might even be standard gauge I am not sure. I am not sure about the long-term viability of a Woodbridge. I would rather have nice thick heavy plastic instead.
Nice bridge and review. Always wondered why Menards uses a white power plug? Plastic can be moulded in any color. I've seen them disguised as main water, electric and waste water pipes, painted and not.
Creating some sort of special power plug would cost more money and thus drive up the cost of the item. Using an off the shelf power plug keeps costs down.
Eric, love the videos, Awesome stuff. I hate to ask a question that isn't about the bridge, but to you knowledge...has or does Lionel make a steam locomotive in Penn Central? Thanks.
Marx made a couple of steam locomotives in the Penn Central Name, [ tender was labeled as such ] in the 1960's before Marx stopped production of their electric trains. I am pretty certain that I have seen Marx 1666 steamers with Penn Central tenders , but then again the 1666 is a plastic semi rendition of the Marx diecast 666 locomotive that first came out around 1955 with New York Central tenders in the mix. Some of the 1666 locomotives were smokers.
Can't use then online if that's what you're wondering. Perhaps you might have someone in the vicinity of a Menards storevuse them although I don't know if they have an expiration date on them.
Bridge looks good. at first I thought it was too huge for a 0 scale but once you put the train and it looks good. Help! I'm looking to do a train for my Christmas Village and I don't even know how to begin! In fact I'm having a hard time finding a time period piece. Let alone creating a track that could curve up different levels. I'm going to glue the track aligner has all that work LOL Ugh.
From a professional modeler Menards still has a lot of work to do to make their products non-toyish. If you are planning a old fashioned toy train model Menards stuff is fair in its design.
ericstrains If I could find the fabric my wife would make it. Do you happen to the fabric by name or possibly where it was purchased from. Thanks for your reply
hmsjr01 I might be able find the name of the print. The problem is that it’s no longer being made. We had to look all over the place to get enough to do my layout. But I’ll see if I can find the name of it again.
You can't run HO through it. It would look ridiculously tall. Question for Eric: there seem to be guard rails on the structure. Are there walkways? I wish you had taken a shot from the end of the bridge.
People can do whatever they want if they want to run n or z over the bridge they can. I can’t stand when people take this hobby so serious and have the nerve to tell people what the can or can’t do.
Enjoy this newest video!
Amazing video! Thx for putting in effort into your videos!
ericstrains I would if RUclips wouldn’t give me millions of adds still a great review!
Beautiful construction, great craftsmanship, & rather intricate
Great video Eric! Menards did a great job on detailing this bridge! Thanks for sharing!
I have just bought this bridge and I'm going to use it on my large gap on my layout
Nice Bridge! I wish they had Christmas lights and decoration on this model!
The big white plug really stands out on the black bridge. Powering from underneath would be a nice option.
Yea, when I install it on my layout I'll just paint the end of the cord black and cover it up with some bushes or something. No big deal.

I bought some ho scale stuff from here once. Best stuff ive ever bought!

Very nice bridge Eric!!!
Menards has it again. Whew!
Eric please do a video when you're bridge is installed thanks another great video
Another great review. Thanks Eric.
Looks like it would look good with the On30 section.
I like the added background music
Thanks for noticing!
@@Ericstrains Sure! I hope you add background music into future videos, it really added to it. :)
very cool.I have been thinking about adding one of these on my layout. Great review.
Neat, thank you Eric.!!!

Really like the new unboxing videos how you give a description of the knives you use to un boxm
Thanks, glad you noticed!

It could probably be done fairly easily with a long piece of sheet metal.
Hello Eric I am enjoying your videos a lot. Can you please tell me in Lionel Ready To Play and O gauge are close enough in size with one another that this bridge would work with that kind of layout?
Menards should do a Christmas bridge using this design..put Christmas lights on the sides.
I wish Menards still sold it. On Ebay it is about $165 + shipping.
I got my bridge for 71.00 dollars a great price and very good quality the less re bright this bridge passed my expectations

Where can I find the skirting material I see Eric? Really cool. I would like to use it on our G Scale layout. Thanks.
Any hope of Menards putting out a line of passenger cars?
Eric, love the videos, Awesome stuff. I hate to ask a question that isn't about the bridge, but to you knowledge...has or does Lionel make a steam locomotive in Penn Central? Thanks.
GadgetClerk No, nobody does. Penn Central wasn’t formed until 1968 and by that time steam power had been completely replaced by diesel.

More important than its a double-track bridge can two trains run past each other without sideswiping?
Are you gonna review a First Responders Train set
Is there a box to hide the plug even if it is pointed to the back you cant miss that white plug
Great video Eric I have not seen a revew on the minards o scale bridge.
Thank you!
Is there a way to redeem Menard's rebates wthout visiting one of their stores?
Can't use then online if that's what you're wondering. Perhaps you might have someone in the vicinity of a Menards storevuse them although I don't know if they have an expiration date on them.
This is sooo cool kinda wishing i still ran o scale
I love menards
Just visited Menards website site and searched for bridge but got "not found" message. Is it sold out already?
Very good!!
why doesn't Eric's trains review german locomotives?
they have been Deutsche Ban'ned
Ha Ha
@Squidward Tentacles Deutsche bahn is one of the main railway companys in germany

David Bozanovs it’s $80...
Nice bridge.
Question for you. Where did you find the skirting for you layout? I’ve been looking for something like that!
Thanks
It was custom made by my then girlfriend.
ericstrains If I could find the fabric my wife would make it. Do you happen to the fabric by name or possibly where it was purchased from. Thanks for your reply

Looks like its Full steam ahead train signs. But the few places I found our out of stock and as Eric said looks to be discontinued
It is kind of short to me. Maybe if you had two or three of those put together to make a larger Bridge.
Ok now we got the prototypical three rails not two
Exactly! :)
You can't run HO through it. It would look ridiculously tall. Question for Eric: there seem to be guard rails on the structure. Are there walkways? I wish you had taken a shot from the end of the bridge.
no, those are just guard rails. It's not meant for HO, it's O-Scale.
People can do whatever they want if they want to run n or z over the bridge they can. I can’t stand when people take this hobby so serious and have the nerve to tell people what the can or can’t do.
Benjamin D Minor you think this is a hobby ?
Will traditional modern Lionel trains (DC) work on post war track?
Sirens And Railroads of Oklahoma yes
More menards
I really like the Norfolk and western 1776
Thanks!
any way of relocating the female plug to better conceal it?
My local Menards has a whole little section by the toys and stuff filled with Lionel products with Menards propaganda on them
Can I fit a double stack
The rebate Menards offers is in an in store credit which does me no good since I do not live in the Midwest.
Joe323 as far as I know it’s a mail in rebate that’s on their website, and is available to anyone
True, Eric, that the rebate is a mail in type but it can only be redeemed in their retail stores and not online. :(
You would think it would be track powered.
That power socket is HIDEOUS. A more elegant solution would have been to power it from the bottom as others mentioned, or use a micro USB socket.
