Went to my local Menards today to check out a few rolling stock items. They had a bunch of buildings on display plugged in and this one is pretty cool in person. The extra bit of wood that fell off on your unit, was actually installed sideways on the one at my Menards. Maybe they randomly assort them? Anyways, good to see new videos!
Good evening Eric I like that building what you put from Menards it's very excellent but you keep when you buy more all the stuff keep pulling them in videos I like to see them 👍👌
I've never seen a detail model of the PRR Holmesburg Junction switch tower in any scale. Holmesbug Junction is part the Northeast Corridor and Amtrak still has a C&S based out of there. Of course it Amtrak sut operation in mid 90's an moved operations to 30th street staion prior to 9/11. Now all operation are performed in BEAR Delaware.
Nice building. I do wish they would use "warm white" LED lights instead of the harsh blueish looking ones. You probably could paint over them with a light yellow wash to give it that old yellow incandescent light bulb look.
Thats really nice, that roof and sign are great detail touches. I hope they get into nscale building's now that they do h.o. ones. I did order 2 of there o cars for our Christmas layout not bad for the price. Take care!
Just a quick comment. The EARLIER Menards buildings took 300-400ma to run; the later ones (like the new FedEx) require more like 600-800 ma. So, ditch the "three on a tree" power packs. Also ditch the 1000ma and the 2000ma. Use only the 5000ma if you wish to run more than one building on a pack. Keep in mind that once you add wire to the pack - to get to where your building is placed - every 25' at 14ga loses about 1 volt. Some of the Menards buildings (especially the ones with animation) will flicker as they are starved for power. Ask me how I know this!
A fork Lift, a few Lumber Trucks, and a pile of exterior lumber should be alongside the lumberyard. This is what a real lumberyard would look like. In many parts of the USA these traditional family owned lumberyards no longer exist. A Home Depot is not a lumberyard, its just a place that sells just enough lumber to prevent a family yard from surviving. The Rail siding should also be into the lumberyard
Menards is a big box in the midwest... Not a mom&pop lumberyard....i worked for them for 11 years Actully menards in our town put 3 local "family owned" lumber yards out of busness Ill buy mine from woodland sceanics
Hi Eric! I just wanted to ask you something really quick. I am 13 years old and have been watching since I was about 7. I have recently stumbled upon some good fortune and my parents are letting me build my dream layout. I am higher skilled than you might think but definitely not as skilled as you. Anyway I just wanted to know if there was any tips or tricks that you could help a young modeler out with. Thank you so much and keep up the amazing work!
Lol I’m 14 but yeah, building a model train layout has more options as to what you can do than legos do! It never ends. Just use your imagination and think of all the possibilities. I have a video describing how to make simple but very realistic landscapes.
Beautiful building, I will look forward to getting this building around Christmas.
Very nice I like menards train sets and buildings
Wow, that building is so beautiful!
I’ve been to cripple creek
They have a narrow gauge railroad that shows you a bunch of abandoned mine shafts
Right on

Awesome video! Mernards makes some really nice buildings!
Yep... sold me on this one. Time to make up an excuse to the queen to go to Menards! Usually it entails her getting a holiday item haha.
That has amazing detail

Cripple creek reminds me of the mining town in Colorado

I'll bet that'd look awesome with the Shay next to it with a lumber train
Another great review thanks Eric I need to get this next for my layout
Any time!

“Up on Cripple-Creek, she sent me”
Anyone know the song?
yeah Heard it on the Dukes of Hazzard soundtrack
@@microbusss Or like many, heard it on The Band's album The Band.
It’s a great song.
The Dukes of Hazzard is the best!!
Great review Eric!!!
Gonna have to get one of these for my new layout
how tall is the opening from the base i might be able to get some on30 18' flat cars in there on ho track
Awesome piece! Yes, they are kicking butt!! I'm a model builder and could really really detail the h__l out of this structure!!!!
Great review, as always!
I just bought the Tide factory building, they're really making nice buildings.
Make sure not to eat what comes out the other end of it 🤭
Menard’s buildings are pretty good. I have quite a few of them, this one looks pretty good as well but I wish it had a animation on it.
ive seen these on the cowcatcher magazine
Good day Eric very nice building have a question in the closing or the video you show a NYC reefer car unloading what video highlight that car ,?
I’ve never done a video on that car. It’s a milk car that made by K-Line years ago before they closed.
@@Ericstrains I have a few of them but not the operating one now I have something to look for that's
They do do a great job.
When are you doing another steam locomotive review Eric?
Soon
LOL - you're so chill, where many folks would get so triggered
I thought you were going to play up on cripple creek when you turned on the light
Up on cripple creek is Tom wopat

You need a bigger layout with all the new buildings

Sure. Read lots of modeling magazines, watch lots of modeling videos, and don't be afraid to make mistakes along the way. You'll learn as you go.
@@Ericstrains Thank you so much!

@@mikeyv8893 Thank you! On my way to watch it!
I’m glad I saw this video before my child ate this lumberyard.
Cheaper through Woodland Scenics.
hola buenas tarde muchas gracias por subir el video abrazo grande
Is the track made in China also... do you know?
What track? This video is about a building.
Dang it. My son just ate my Menards salt factory
Oh no! Maybe they should have made the warning more prominent.
I love the Menards buildings, but all the staples in the packaging are a royal pain in the butt.
The outside looks good, but it looks like they're almost sold out of lumber.
Like everything else nowadays
Looks like my local Home Depot. Hehe
I thought the same thing
Yooo
You are going to have a huge population of Jack the German Shepard’s. You should do another with the turbines no one wants to see anymore big boys.
That's why Menards' created the J. Shepherd & Sons Dog Food factory building.
I wouldn't of glued it. Cripple creek won't be able to sell the lumber because it is now permanent.
Menards should go all the way and by MTH
That would be something
