Here in Vegas, when I hear a loud engine that someone is driving "frisky" it's 97% of the time a Charger or Challenger. I'm a night road worker so I pay attention to vehicles that might kill me.

Car insurance is a scam, you can only operate one vehicle at a time so they need to adjust for that instead of every car being insured as if theyre all being driven all the time, and then offer a separate policy for vehicles when theyre parked thats much cheaper.
They also are a target for thieves.

Who do you have insurance with? I ran a Hellcat VIN and they also wanted 400 month which is CRAZY! 😵
Just quick update I thought it might be due to the amount of HP but maybe or maybe not. A Challenger RT was like about 300 month so maybe it is the HP or maybe a combo of that plus the theft problems? Have you shopped rates with other companies? I would be curious if there are cheaper options elsewhere.
I'm 51 perfect driving record and they tripled my insurance from last year on my 16 shaker rt that was paid off. I sold it for a 2019 camaro 2ss 100 more hp and my new policy was half of what i thought was good on my old rate. Then 3 says after i sold it i got a letter from the insurance company saying they were no longer going to even insure the challenger. Wth i have a 06 magnum rt a 2019 ram and the camero for 2k a year.
I briefly had a 2019 Dodge Charger R/T. Not even the hell cat. I’m a younger man and the cheapest insurance I could find was $390 a month! One insurance company quoted me $1000 a month.

I have a BMW suv that’s fast….3.4 to 60 and my insurance is $285 a month for full coverage with a $500 deductible.
I have one or 2 point speeding ticket. First ticket in 20 years I own a challenger r t. Full coverage insurance is 534 a month For that one car. But my credit is not the bestfever.I'm average 640 credit score. Before The ticket it was 382 per month. Insurance is just high on these cars. All of the vwill pay a price.
I was just looking at buying a new Challenger Hellcat. Got the insurance quote and it’s 2x as much as my new Z06 so I do not go through with the purchase.

It's not about the car. They're no more or less safe than any other car, and repair costs are average.
The reason it's high is because the theft risk is so high.
Plug in a Hyundai or Kia and it will be similar.

Same. I’m in my mid thirties and I’ve only had one bad accident in my life that was not my fault BEFORE I owned my challenger……..I pay 440 a month for both my cars. My challenger alone is over 300 a month. Horrible
Usually when you get to 5 vehicles you need a fleet policy.
Best I can find is $750 full coverage for 2015 clean title Q50 infiniti. 23 years old, 2 tickets 1 accident on record. I had to choose liability which is risky cause car only has 70k miles. My 14’ taurus is only 300 for full.
Id go with a Vette, Camaro or mustang, unfortunately the Mopar scene is ruined now.
