Most of your examples are of single stride mohawks (10 and 2's, open hips). They are mohawks with a single leg push. Easily combined with a scooter push. @1:15 Crosby initiates with a mohawk (back foot is facing backwards) then follows through with a scooter (back foot is facing forward). The mohawk allows you to create a bit of deception, create about 1 foot of space while protecting the puck (with your ass between you and the forechecker and the puck well out of reach from a poke check). If the deception worked and the forechecker bites you can then switch to the scooter in order to maintain puck protection while driving wide with one hand on the stick and trying to get inside the defense. Just my thoughts on this move.....but then hockey players have always misused the word mohawk (a figure skating term that applies to a forward to backward pivot using open hips). What we call a mohawk is broad, from a true mohawk, to an eagle (10 & 2) to this particular usage by Crosby which blends scooter pushes into it with both a reverse or forward pushes.....Watching Crosby can teach you more than anyone else in my opinion....I'm calling this the Mohawk Scooter and the Scooter.
Interesting! Is there a reason you want to see makars crossunders? I wouldn’t say he’s known for them. If you want to see more makar check out my “nhl players compilations” playlist, there’s a couple great compilations of makar in there.
@@TheDownhillSkater To me he has the best edges in the world. His crossovers would be interesting to see because he generates so much speed from them. Dosent have the best technique though. Maybe an analysis. He also skates knock kneed. Mot players dont skate that well with that type of style. Just cool how he skates to well with not the best mechanics.
Thanks for watching! Link in description to scooter HOW TO!

If I had a dollar for every time I've seen Crosby make a play from puck protection, I'd be richer than Elon Musk.
😂😂😂 There were no shortage of clips for this compilation that's for sure!
