"If you weren't born as my child..." My heart shattered when she said that. Despite knowing that she did the absolute best she could for her child being a single parent, everything she endured for her little girl, she loathed herself the whole time. Because she wanted to do so much more. Preserving that smile was everything to her and she doesn't know how amazing she was.
The saddest part of the story is knowing it happened in real life, and the reality was far worse and more horrifying than you could imagine....its just sad....
Are you talking about what keeps happening everyday in the world or was this specific story inspired by a real life incident? If the second one is the case, then can you please tell me how can I know about this more?
THE PARENTAL GUILT IS SO REAL IN THIS SCENE. THAT WOMAN WAS A MOTHER. SHE DID EVERYTHING FOR HER, AND HER DAUGHTER WAS HAPPY. BUT SHE STILL THOUGHT SHE WAS MISERABLE.
Same. I have been having my mom watch anime for almost a decade now. And ive rarely seen her cry. Maybe like 4 times maximum. But this episode absolutely destroyed her. She could relate so much 😢
As a reader of the manga, knowing what was coming I thought I'd be ready for this episode. I was not fucking ready for this episode. They gave it so much love and care. Beyond my wildest expectations. Thank you Science Saru.
Dandadan is really one of the rare Cases when anime doesn't dissapoint with expectations but only suprasses them, often when i readed something i had no will to watch anime but i'm really hyped for each episode of Dandadan when it comes out, thats shows how much passion were put into show, not Just copypaste manga panels and make them kinda move
Just when I thought I was done feeling sad about this episode, RUclips hits me with hauntingly beautiful re-creations like this. Amazing job. I'm going to go cry, now.
0:00 - 0:20 we accompany her through her performance, watching as she dances. Is she chasing after something? Why does this piece feel as if she is rushing to get to something? 0:40 - 0:59 violins kicking in, conveying a feeling of being carried higher and higher. With each step, she is lifted closer to it. 1:00 until violins stop, as if she’s leaping off, trying to catch what she was reaching for. Or is this the limit of her path? Can she only go this far? Getting this close to it but never allowed to have it? 1:01 melody starting over again, higher, lighter, each time she tries anew, the higher sounds/octave make it appear that this time, it has become more delicate, more fragile, like a fading memory. All is fleeting. 1:12 suddenly, the melody contains a rushed part, her dance feels more urgent. She becomes more desperate to run after it and hold onto it, dancing faster to get closer. 1:20 melody becomes a waltz, which is normally associated with elegance, romance, nostalgia. Her dance, her intimate attempt to lead her own life, almost becomes a performance for the world to see. Was it all a show? Does it sound like a circus with this twist in melody? Almost as if the world is mocking and reducing her performance to a mere amusement. “Yes, perform that helpless dance of yours! You cannot escape us, you cannot escape your fate, we can do it all over again” 1:33 realizing this, she becomes more desperate, she knew all along, how could she not? She WILL dance, she HAS to dance, she can only dance. So she gives what they want but shows defiance, pouring in her efforts, her movements carrying a sense of frustration, inevitability, nihilism, yet she continues to dance strongly. If everything is already set in stone and chosen for her, the only thing she has been doing has never been hers, but she fights against it. 1:42 music gets more dramatic - Her confidence swells, she is getting closer again, the music this time sounds less like a frustrating path that is about to loop itself again, but more like hopeful and strong leaps led by herself, shaking off the chains that bound her. 2:02 an orchestra emerges, showing her unexpected defiance to her destined life. All she ever wanted was to lead a full life of love with her daughter, these leaps in her dance are not only for her, but for her daughter. Even though her performance was never hers and she was destined to fall each time she would come closer, she rebelled against it. This piece may not belong to her, but she will try over and over again - she leaps. Her shackles broken, the music written to repeat itself in an endless trap stops abruptly. The world never promised her fairness, yet she defied it. …and it is bittersweet to know that the world is still mocking her - she never got to save her daughter, she defied the world, broke free from it and became something beyond a human and yet… she could not find her daughter.
The way backstory was shown with simple but very emotion full music instead of using words , is just PERFECT ❤, that it feels like I step in some other world, and now that I am listening it more and more it making me feel like I am in a Ghibli movies, it so beautiful yet sad that I can't describe it by words just like they did

The bookstore I go to finally got some of the manga in stock, with the fights after Silky, but I read ahead. Im glad I had a chance to watch her story this way, Melancholy and all
Fleeting... like reaching for a fragment of starlight, desperate to hold it one last time but it is slowly slipping through her fingers. Fragile, bittersweet, shimmering with the knowledge of its own fragility. It’s a dance that feels as if it is not truly hers. Every step a heartbeat, every heartbeat a step that is being watched and judged. A life that feels borrowed and unrightfully hers to begin with. A dance as if every step could be her last with this whisper of a life she wishes for the both of them, for her daughter. She pours her soul into this singular moment, feeling its depth as if it could last forever. These moments are the only ones that matters, as shown through her daughter's innocence in taking every day as it is, as long as it starts and ends with her mother. She clings to it, yearning to make it last just a bit longer. However, no matter how much she gives, it will never be enough for the both of them to exist together. Whenever she thinks she gets closer, the struggles reset. It ends abruptly and so does this piece, slipping away before she could truly hold and cherish it. Their time, delicate and finite, was cruelly carved by a world that never promised fairness. We wish for a kinder world for them.
I hope there will be anime crossover or fan art about it and save them or the manga author will make arc regarding aira feeling about acro silky redemption. It's too sad just to imagine how cruel the fate of someone and injustice for some people
