The guys who make the men’s RUclips space seem so kind and generous. John, Antonio, Aaron M, OG Jeff, these guys are all so supportive of each other. Great to see James grow and develop along with these gentlemen, working together to exemplify a standard for all men.
It has been wonderful to have these guys take me under their wing and support me in this journey. The word 'community' is definitely exemplified by the men's style space!

"You're the one responsible for your presentation"
👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽
27:58 - "What do I do if I'm bald?" Well, as a bald guy, I can answer that for you. Accept it. Shave it. All of it. Preferably once a week to keep it consistent. There are electrical shavers specificly designed for shaving your head, you don't need to use a razor. A neat shaven bald head is A LOT BETTER than having three strands on the top of your head, bushy sides and living in denial. If you have facial hair, try growing a neat short beard, if not a clean shave goes a long way.
My dad is bald and he doesn't accept it. It would be 10x better to just shave it off. Bald dudes can still get women lol
Honestly, baldness can be a beneficial attribute. It looks really good on some men. Please embrace it I agree.
Couldn't agree more!! I was chasing the ghost for years. Finally started shaving my head about 3 years ago. Easily the best hair decision I could've made!!
I now laugh at old pictures of myself where I was trying to do something what was left.
Damn Gent Z, you are getting ALL the heavy hitters! John is my guy! (I'm 49). Great camaraderie in the men's style space. Patiently waiting for Style OG or Alpha Male next! Keep up the great work 👍
Hey, John-thanks for the shout out!
I watch and subscribe to both of you.
I think it's great to have alignment from two different age groups.
You guys do a great job.
Thank you. It was a really interesting conversation for me, I hope you enjoy it too.
All of your collaborations have been good:
Antonio,Raphael,Ash.
All-Star team.
But this was your best one by far.
Laughed out loud several times while listening, and nodded while smiling on several more. Deliberately listened in shorter clips, because I was enjoying the conversation so much,I didn't want it to end.
You and John have a natural chemistry, and bring out the best in each other. John has a "California Cool" that reminds me of Jeff Bridges. Not an East Coast,Midwest,or Southern style, but its own unique vibe.
Thanks James! Truly a great show.
You skipped mentioning what might be my favorite interview of the lot, Dr. Stephanie Ganowski. She's part of the all-star team too. :) But on a sidenote, I can absolutely see John reminding you of Jeff Bridges.
@@jeremiahbok9028
Ouch!
That is an absolutely grevious omission. Especially in light of how much value Doctor Ganowski generously provided.
Thank you my friend.
@@sammajor2075 You are so welcome! Cheers.
How exciting, I would never have guessed. I don't watch John Galfano (40 Over Fashion) much, since he targets an older demographic, obviously, but a lot of his advice is applicable to anyone. Look stylish, don't wear shorts below the knees because it throws off your proportions and anyway a lot of women these days actually like it when men show a little skin, just dress like you care a little and don't want to look like someone who chases trends as if trendy equaled good. Dress like an adult. He definitely practices what he preaches: he always looks sharp and knows what pieces and colors work for him, and he's always warm whenever I see him doing a crossover with, say, The Kavalier or Gent's Lounge. I like that he switches it up a lot, finding a lot of different topics to cover, some of which are barely styled related at all. It'll be interesting to hear more about him! He has great presence and he always seems lovely. So far, good interview! PS haha, small wonder he gets asked for hair advice. Truly, some of the best hair and beard on RUclips. Also, love the straight-talk about a decent physique looking better.
I've had two 911s and look forward to getting another one. They were both beautiful, fun-to-drive and reliable.
Very nice.
I hear you, man. Once you've owned a 911, it's REALLY hard to find something else that measures up.
Dating for a man is definitely easier in your 50s. Here in Las Vegas, it seems like around age 25 or 26, women are tired of young guys who don't treat them respectfully. As a somewhat refined and financially stable 50- something, it's pretty easy pickings.
Why can’t you just date a woman your age?
That's interesting to hear.
John, Gent Z, lovely to see the collaboration and support for each other and for gentleman who tune into your respective channels !
Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦
In the middle, at 40 👌🏽, I look young but have the financial and life experience advantage to slaughter the dating market 🤣, men stay winning, I only date women from 23 to 25 years of age, younger that that they are too immature and older than that are left over toxic sludge.
That’s not how a gentleman thinks
@@TributesAndUnique 🤣 I’m American 🇺🇸 not European lol, plus I can be a gentleman, when a woman earns it through her behavior, you see I’m the price and her retirement plan, not her 🙃
@@frankv7068 You referred to women 25+ as "left over toxic sludge". You sound shallow and considering that you think that all women care about is money, you are also uneducated. I'm American too btw
@@frankv7068dude you clearly aren’t serious about being married let’s be realistic. You are in your 40’s and just cycle through the most attractive age range that isn’t super annoying because it’s fun. “I’m her retirement plan” dude you’ll be dead by the time she hits retirement age lol. You don’t need to justify that you like your lifestyle with a bunch of bs
@@badart3204 Exactly I be dead, all men be dead before any woman regardless of age, they live longer. Both of you didn’t get the point, I’m not a gentleman, I was giving you examples of why I’m the price, and I embrace running through these young broads, jo big deal. If it hurts the both of yous than hit the gym, get more money and better yourselves idk 🤷🏻♂️😅
Cool collaboration! As a young teen aspiring jent who’s trying his best, your channel helps me, keep up the good work and may your channel grow bigger.
Thank you, that’s great to hear. I’m proud to be a part of your journey
If it's only about 'presentation' then getting a date should be EASY, unless you wear tracksuit pants and sneakers to a date. However, it isn't just about presentation.
You Gentlemen 'John, Antonio, Style O.G, and Gent Z' on social media who talk about men's issues and fashion. I have taken bits of your advice and gradually incorporated the hints into my lifestyle. I thought I was trendy in my 20s,30s and I am now 48. In the last 2 years. I have you Gents to thank. 'THANKYOU'. I'm happily married, and my wife, her friends, and everyone compliments my style, etc. I watch your videos once or twice a month...'ThankYou'. Keep up the great content. You're helping alot of men and everyone #Worldwide.
Thank you, Emmanuel! That is very inspiring and encouraging to hear. I'm glad you've found great value in this community.
I'm 50 this year and I've been getting back into classic style over the last couple years after having kind of taken off for a while. I started getting really into classic style, and pretty all the aspects of the gentlemanly life when I was in college and kept it up through the beginning of my professional career. I still think and feel that I have a long life ahead of me to enjoy with my family and pursuing the gentlemanly life.
Such a relaxed, wonderful conversation. Loved it! I found the two of you around the same time.
Actually started with you, James. I was watching the Daniel Craig Bonds with my daughters and started looking up fashion. I found you videos about it! Subscribed immediately and found John shortly thereafter.
I'm a 48yo guy and absolutely love what you're doing for men of all ages. Keep it up!
Cool to see John here!! :)
It was great chatting with him!
I do prefer most often to see the no tie outfit, James. Even no pocket square is fine, because the pattern is already busy enough. 👍👍
BOOO keep the tie 😂
James! There is a HUGE overlap between Cars, Menswear, Watches, Aviation and in some states firearms.
I wish all success in the world for this two guys. Thank you for the great content.
Ps. The R8 is also a dream of mine. Stay thrust my friend.
Older (53) gentleman who lives in Chicagoland area. I live up on the lake in northwest indiana. Enjoy the summer!
Thank you!
Cary Grant wore a sport coat and tie to picnics. A true gentleman can never be truly overdressed. 🙂 Dressing well in an environment that embraces sloppiness can make you feel out of place, but comfort yourself by remembering that you will be the man they remember.
Really enjoyed the conversation and so much to take away from the discussion and issues raised. You should do this say every six months. Thank you.
Thank you. John and I will definitely do this again. Hopefully, in person!
40overFashion that Omega Seamaster looks sick on you 🔥 make a video on your watches I will subscribe
6:10 Moss Bros are respectable they have good history
Really good discussion!
Conversation around 48 minutes would be a good video. "How to respond/react to awkward social interactions"
James, with due respect the constant wobbling from your desk makes watching this near impossible. I recommend an elevated camera setup which should stabilize the feed and fix the problem. Cheers.
The story told around 33 minutes in about going to a party and being the best dressed.....the phrase i use in mt life is "I never dress down to go out." A lot of men don't consider that. A lot.
Have you noticed John Flynn and Gent Z have never been in the same room together? It became even creepier after I watched Ripley on Netflix! Dickie Greenleaf in the flesh.
50s. Most of the B.S. is drained off.
I’m 24 and I feel like I have no place in the dating world. I make 6 figures, dress very well, am a funny (known by most as the funniest person they know) guy, personable, charming. Not a humble brag cuz the punchline is that I haven’t been on a date in over 2 years (when I broke up with my first love).
I go up to girls quite often. Usually get a number. Never more than a response or two, and never a date. Women older than myself show more interest but the age gap is too great to overcome. Women any younger than me very quickly drop off into looking like children in my eyes and they have personalities to match. I’m stuck in the middle, and the people my age, especially the women, are so busy with school and career and moving out of state that no one seems to even be trying to date. It gets lonely
I would encourage you to use dating apps more. That's the way women our age expect to be approached and feel safe using. It's not ideal, but we must play the game as it is rather than hate the game.
I'm 23.5 and have never been on a date. It could be worse.
I am 29 and face the same issue 😢
Sams here, I'm 26 and have no place in the dating world.
I'm too short and ugly for women to find me attractive.
It's beyond over for me
@@Gent.ZI appreciate the advice. Unfortunately I have been on a years long cycle of failure on these apps. Despite continuous improvement on each iteration, and despite heavily relying on the advice from women in my life on how to structure my profiles. I have had photos professionally taken, I have a good mix of candid shots and a couple good group photos. Everyone I ask says it’s a very solid profile. I get literally maybe 2 likes a month, and they are not people I would even consider dating. I don’t know what else I can change, I even do a full reset and change my phone number when I overhaul my profile.
Re: older guys caring and not caring. As a 69 year old guy who still does care, as I've aged I notice those who have the "I don't GAF what people think of me or how I look" do in fact care, a lot. It's just that at some point they failed to meet whatever standard it is they were after, lots of rejection and career shortfalls if not failure, etc., and now they have just given up. How many times have you seen someone at 30 - 40 - 50 - 60 - whatever and thought: At what age did this guy stop caring? Life has beaten these people down. The more so, the more bitter and angry they are until they hopefully age out of it.
at 33:40 about men do they or don't they care about their appearance, I think men do care but many don't know specifics on what they should do to create a better appearance. Rather than general advice, some specifics of what to do and what not to do. For myself I've been fortunate to stay in shape with ballroom dancing as a hobby and much of my fashion is fairly generic. I also tend to avoid highly processed foods even though convenient. I find myself doing multiple trips to grocery stores buying ready-made salads or vegetable combos from a bag where I simply cut and dump into a steamer.
Still laughing at John's "...on the back nine" comment. Smh.
I think a man gets his hairline through his Grandad, Mother's side.
I had always heard the same thing. Unfortunately, my hair didn't get the memo. 😕
@@KaleoMgmt I got mine and yours then 😊
I get the faceless comments you have read getting monotonous. I'm trying to add more smiley faces emojis when I talk to people on RUclips nowadays 😋
I'm glad he broke up with that girl. She gave some heavy cheater vibes
Fellas in their 50s, who have full lives, who are not obsessed with getting women to pay attention to them, don’t date! They talk to women who are interested in them, and develop the situation rapidly. When you know, you know. Dudes with solid heads on their shoulders, can easily inspire a woman to kiss them the first time they meet. If the goal is to sleep with a woman, a man will close on the spot with confidence. 75% of the time, it works every time 😊
Hey Gent Z, do a video about Scott disick 2012-2015 era, aka LORD DISICK. really sexy suit game he had back then!
Haha, unfortunately, I know too much about reality TV. Yes, he did dress very well. What a shame he went the way of street style.
I subscribe to both of your channels. You both have a lot to offer to men of all ages. Thanks for the great work.
