I’m usually a 3 and sometimes a 2 but I like watching front player tips not only in case I have to fill but to also try and figure out my opponents could possibly do and try to be a few steps ahead of them

Honestly my personal opinion is that teams need to get away defining yourselves as a 1, 2 3 etc. By doing so you are defining m/constraining yourself to a certain style of play. Most might say I’m a 1 but I’m constantly assessing my role by the situation and playing that role appropriately.
@@hollidaymtg I agree with you. To play paintball effectively at a high level, you can’t view your job so rigidly, BUT this is (in my opinion) the foundational understanding you need to have before you can move into a more free flow play style.
@@SVPPaintball I’ll agree with that. Easier to explain 1 2 3 for sure. But hell I’m no expert. I do think this is one of the larger gaps between semi pro and pro. I see a lot of players run far and make a great spot and think their job is to immediately kill people. When the vast majority of the time you make a great spot. You should be thinking. Ok made it wow, I think I’ll just chill and shut down a lane. Attract all the attention so my team can take more and more spots. Then go to work

Haha what a great question :p make sure you wear a pair of slider shorts or 2-in-1’s (like the carbon SC pants) that have a jock pad. That’s all I use and it works great. Otherwise, lose your legs :p
