Just as some others have already said, I found you and was attracted by the idea of traveling the canals with you, but I soon realized that what I loved was the two of you! So when you moved off the boat, I stayed with you, the two of you, because you are what Foxes are all about. Two honest, beautiful men, living their best lives, together. Love you both!❤️❤️

I loved how you explained the fate playing a part in the highlands shift.
12 years ago we down shifted from city life to homestead style life and we completely thrived as a couple and individually. 4 months ago a quiet conversation about our life quality and a month later the property and my business was on the market and we are now on a new adventure. Everything seemed out of the blue to everyone else, but reality is the moments over the last decade have built the path.

I am still here. I love that your in the Highlands because I am a highlander born and bred. Love you both. I hit on hard time because my husband lost his job and we were struggling to pay things and so luxories i.e. like charities that i supported and Foxes afloat when i became a hearted friend had to go. After watching you both floating around the canals, I as an Australian who lives in a dry arid state, found the beauty of canal travelling and your info about the places visited, absolutely fantastic and educational...in a good way. Tho I still loved the canals and your trips to the lochs beautiful, I am now enjoying your Croft life just as much. I think you capture the spirit of your travels perfectly and no matter where you go or what you do would be described as better or worse. I also know and understand the love of privacy in the country. The two of you are what makes your life fun and interesting and therefore enriching others lives through your eyes and voices. I understand, but we always thought it was all about the adventure for you guys. When you left the boat you needed a new adventure. And you both are story tellers. I thought of you this morning when I read about the folklore of "telling the bees" in Scotland. People would talk to their bees to tell them news of such things as a birth, death or marriage in the family. I can picture you guys talking to your bees.

Re. the donkeys, my Dad’s aunt used to have one at her croft on the Doll back in the 80’s. Sadly neither her nor the donkey no longer with us, so not much help, but fond donkey memories not far away. Hope you manage to find a couple!

Nah, it's never too cold. We live 800 meters from the Baltic Sea and we get Highland weather on a regular basis and it's just beautiful. I stand with them.
We loved watching your vlogs of the narrowboat but your transition to the highlands has been an experience for us too. It is so beautiful and you are able to intentionally or unintentionally communicate awe and wonder , the spiritual side of our natures . I t seems to me that you have developed a greater depth through this experience . Look at your vlog again especially in those moments when you are seriously thinking of the answer , it’s a look ! I visited Scotland in one of the hottest summers! It was 27C in Inverness and I has to wear sunscreen. In that month I think it rained once or twice and the skies were just wonderful. Great hitch hiking weather.

I can’t believe it has been 2 years. ❤️♥️❤️. So glad you are still loving your croft and embracing the weather of each season. My SIL (who was born and brought up in the Strath of Kildonan, now living on the Black Isle) always wanted 2 donkeys. Not 1, but 2. Never asked her why. I always loved when the hills got the first dusting of snow, as if someone sifted icing sugar on top. Thank you for the lovely videos.
