I had a meniscus tear in my left knee; I got it fixed and had to take some time off from work while it healed. The Sports Doctor did a right fine job! TM long time viewer.

Oh Sean, I’ve also got a meniscal tear .... six months along and it’s getting there - I have days with no pain where I can do anything, the days when it’s really stiff and painful - but it’s slowly getting better. Hope you mend well

But it has just started to heal and I can walk, without my stick, {but it's better with the stick !}.

Like we mentioned, Shaun is on crutches and needs to rest, so no further building work happening in the foreseeable future.
What do you feed Sherlock on and how often? Are you planning on to have a vegetable/flower garden?
1. Chicks, mice, voles, rats, quail.
2. Every day.
3. No. The deer will eat them. Before you ask, to protect the veg would make it inefficient ;)

Cor blimey! I can't even hang a picture without it being a disaster! My only Owl story is once I was driving home along a back lane when I used to live in a more rural village than where I live now, and something in a tree to the right of me caught my eye. I slowed and opened my window to look! Three wise owls were looking back at me, perhaps more startled than I was to see them! It was one of those magic moments in life, absolutely beautiful to see! ( I have just heard the bit about owls being solitary! With my hand on my heart, three owls were on a couple of branches, just looking back at me! Maybe it was mating season, I do not know!)
I do love the way builder folk in this country talk about dimensions (2 by 4 joists, 12 mil boarding) completely mixing metric and imperial! Lovely to see Sherlock in his new des. res. and get well soon Shaun. Xxx

He eats freshly frozen chicks, mice, rats, voles and quail.

A beautiful creature and great to know you’re doing the very best for him in the circumstances - real dedication. I remember visiting a zoo in Tenerife many years back and the Eagle Owl there had about a quarter of the space you’ve provided for Sherlock - well done guys!
