Amazing
I love videos like these, especially from Gurus like you
The fact is since one can't have EVERY fragrance in the world, it's only common sense to, at least, stock up a collection that contains the best of the rest. Yes, the all time greats. This will make a fantastic addition to your collection. Thanks Sebastien for all the great contributions. Do have a great weekend.
I appreciate your timestamps unlike other content creators here who spend an overlong period of time on intros for every single fragrance. Thank you!
Fantastic video, Sebastian! Looking forward to its Part 2! 😘🌹
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Gr8 VDO. Glad you featured a few Tom Fords. Got to love that house.
Awesome video. And I’m really excited to see your list for feminine targeted fragrances!
That's a great list! Still have to get a bottle of Fille en Aiguilles. If I have to add my favorites: Polo Green the Original, Calvin, Tobacco Oud, Ganymede, Stephane Humbert Lucas Mamba, Roja Fetiche, Charlatan, Minotaure OG, Noveau Monde, Musk Ravageur, Portrait of a Lady and Histoires de Parfums Rare Fidelis and 1740. Thanks for the video Sebastian!!!
best of the best fragrances sebastian. I am very curious to see what you do with this series. so i'm looking forward to more videos like this. Thanks Sebastian.
Awesome video as always Sebastian. Some amazing classics here, greatest fragrances of all time.
Excellent topic, I'm so happy you did it and looking forward to part 2. Happy Saturday Sebastian.
Same to you!
I love these kinds of videos and i'm waiting on your next part. Thank you for all your hard work Sebastian and keep the videos coming.
A walk through history. Thank you for the great review.
Gucci Envy, Dior Homme (anything from the line), Tom Ford Oud Tabacco and ADP Essenza are my favs.
I recently found your channel. Love it! It’s the first time I wish smellevison existed 😋
I find myself reaching for Meo Fusciuni Spirito and there’s something comforting in cold weather about Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille
Great video with some great choices in there and have a blessed night
Wow!! What a great list of phenomenal fragrances from the past and present!! Well done, Sebastian!! ❤️👊🏻
Awesome video as usual Sebastian. That Drakkar Noir is so special to me just like you. And you got to love Dior Homme Parfum, the best of the best. Thanks for another great video.
Amazing video to start the weekend with!! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent list Sebastian 👌 Thought Royal Oud would be in your top 5 though 😉
I love your recommendations! I bought Encre Noir for my hubby and it is heavenly! Just purchased Jo Malone Wild Fig and Cassis......can't wait to smell it. Thanks for your great videos!
Thanks for sharing!!
Magnificent chart! Of course each one of us would probably compile a different list… still mine too would include Drakkar Noir!
AG Eau D’Hadrien was my gateway into niche fragrance. Inspired to try it by a trip to Hadrien’s Villa outside of Rome and to this day reminds me of the intoxicating blend of lemons and cypress aromas on a scorching hot summer day in the Italian countryside. Totally transports me with each wear.
Annick Goutal and Penhaligon's were my gateway to Niche as well!! :)
Eau Sauvage will always be in my rotation. I love it too much. It's my signature scent. Grt video Sebastian.
Love these lists! I’ve been rewatching your rankings with Dalya.
Yay! Thank you! When I get back from Europe end of June I'll make arrangements with Dalya and Dana to come back and shoot some vids together! :)
@@ThePerfumeGuy this will make my summer. I can’t wait!
Oh wow, I have 11 from 20 of your recommendation! That's why I like your video and your taste because it suites my style! Thank you!
The classic Fendi by Fendi pour femme...discontinued but I've made stocks:) Looking forward to seeing part 2!
Thanks Sebastian another great video ... incredible list . Cheers Brutha
Absolutely stunning fragrances. Many thanks for sharing
I love your videos. Thank you!
My GOAT: Dunhill Edition (original version)! This was my signature scent from 1986-2000-ish (whenever it got discontinued, I don’t remember because I had it stocked up)
HELP me find a replacement. The new version is terrible.
Thanks for indulging me.
Hi Sebastian love the list.
For me In my personal list I would tack on invasion barbare for me it’s a great performer and thus gets lots of compliments I think that it sets itself apart so far from what people are wearing that it can’t helped but be noticed. I’d have to think maybe Dior Fahrenheit would be a worthy contender it’s so known and so recognizable.
Others that I’d love to see would be Amouage beloved
Beau du jour and Naxos
Great list! Some of my faves are Rien Intense Incense , Hindu Kush and Black Afgano . I can wear these over and over.
Question: Hindu Kush by Mancera? There is another Hindu Kush as well.
@@normanpetri9550 the Mancera version…
What an awesome video with so many outstanding releases. Men's and unisex! thanks sebastian.
Thank you.
Awesome list. I dedicate a space specifically for the "classic" fragrances (Eau Savauge, Heritage, etc). Thanks for sharing!
Excellent Vid! I did think POL and Psych would rank higher. Have a wonderful weekend!
Yes but when I'm featuring discontinued and classic fragrances then again it might not! :)
@@ThePerfumeGuy Good Point! I'm back home and now Im smelling through my Aramis collection. Devon, Havana, Aramis and 900 are all amazing! My dad wore Aramis and I have one of his old bottles with a sliver in it. Once a year I do a quick spritz. You mentioned a part 2 Vid potentially. I vote you do it!😁
From the ten presented so far, Noir de Noir and Dior Homme Parfum would make my list too. A*Men and Psychedelique might too, but I'd have to consider what others like Fahrenheit, Violet Delirium, Black Orchid, etcetera deserved a spot first...
Magnificent selection, I like the background we can see a small part of your fragance collection,
Saludos from san Jose ca
Thanks for watching!
I'm 100% on board with Drakkar Noir! DN was the one that got me started in early 80's and I still wear it till this day, despite the reformulation. I would also like to add Armani Eau Pour Homme and Bvlgari Pour Homme/Extreme to the list and consider these as masterpiece. IMHO. Fantastic video, Sebastian!
Armani pour home 1 of my all time favorites so hard to find now.
@@lannyrobinson4260 Mine as well. I have the reformulated Armani Pour Homme and while it still smells great, it just isn't the same as the original.
Love Dior Homme such a great fragrance. Funny enough, my husband is not a fan....I might start wearing it myself, I think it's definitely the fragrance ladies can pull off as well. Cannot wait for the female targeted fragrance s video! 😍
Same.. I don’t like it.. but my wife likes it and wears it confidently. Do you maybe think it smells a bit like creed aventus ? After 1 or 2 hours on the skin.. not ryt away..
Great List!! Coromandel, N°19, Jubilation 25, L'heure Bleu, Noir Epices, Tuscan Leather and Dior Homme would be some of my picks😊
Thanks for sharing!!
I definitely agree on Fille en Aiguilles and Tobacco Vanille. I was never able to try Wild Fig & Cassis before it was discontinued--excited to get a second chance! My list would also include Le Labo The Noir, Ganymede, and CdG Hinoki.
Thanks for sharing!!
Drakkar Noir took me back to college. Yum! Had to click on the video cuz I saw it in thumbnail. Looking forward to the feminine list too 👍🏻
Great list!!! Its really hard to put your fragrances ranked. My God my favorites because I seem to reach for them often and my eyes roll back when I smell them. Elie Saab Le Parfum, BR540, Shalimar, Remember Me, L'Interdit Édition Millésime, Delina Exclusif, Fleur de Lalita....
Sebastian, you are going to polarize a lot of people in this video, hopefully in a playful way of course. I agree with every one of the fragrances so far.. it's an audacious list, I must say. I can't wait for part 2! 👍🏻💯
Soon for sure!!
I love this type of video. Celebrating greatness is important.
Awesome!! Thanks for stopping by!! 😀
Great video Sebastian. I love your specially Dior - Homme Parfum that’s beautiful scent. I personally own the Dior - Homme Intense. I do think people give low opinion but I think Chanel - Coco Mademoiselle is greatest with MFK - Grand Soir. 💜✨🌸
Awesome, thank you for stopping by to watch and comment!! 😀
Terre D'Hermes Eau Intense Vetiver is currently still my favourite fragrance of all time. the longevity and projection is so great on my skin. the scent itself is also so balanced between the citrus and woods and just so elegant. i'm about 6 months now into my fragrance hobby and i've tried a little over a hundred fragrances and so far TDH EIV is still my all-time fave. we'll see how it ranks in the future though!
I didn't think I would like this, but, OMG... the opening was good but the dry down was incredible! Versatile, classy and masculine.
Hi Sebastian. A must have for me is L'Eau d'Issey Eau de Parfum. It’s an older fragrance launched in 2006, but one that i must have in my collection always. Jo Malone’s Peony & Blush Suede Cologne smells like an exact replica of this fragrance only a bit lighter and missing the longevity. Tell me what you think, I would love to hear your views on the Issey Miyake and the two in comparison. Thank you
I’m sure Naxos will make an appearance on part 2! I just got halston z14 and it definitely doesn’t smell good anymore
Well done Sebastian!
Awesome, thank you for stopping by to watch and to comment!! 😀
My three all time absolute favorites.. two are discontinued. 1. Relax by Davidoff, discontinued. 2. Original M7 by YSL, discontinued. 3. Boucheron Pour Homme eau de parfum, currently still produced. Bonus: Anubis by Papillon...smells like ancient temples, desert, & hidden mysteries! 😍
Надеюсь Dior Homme Parfum тебе не нравится, а то его тоже снимут😄
Попробуй Jovoy Paris Psychedelique, похож на М7, но Jovoy лучше и качественнее проработан!
17:00 I’ve spoken with the president of Dior and he has told me that they’re no longer selling Dior Homme Parfum to people in the US because whenever a US RUclipsr does a giveaway they don’t ship abroad, so an eye for an eye 🤘🏻
Hi Sebastian. Great list
Would add up Rive gauche tin can version
Yes it’s good for sure!!
Great video. My only gripe is that I bought Eau Sauvage and it went foul after about a year. It wasn’t in direct sunlight or anything like that.
Hello Sebastian. I really enjoyed this video! One of your best "best of" compilations. I am a collector and some of the fragrances yoylu selected y wore for years, or are still my fragance cycle. I would like to share some of the fragrances that are on my all-time favorite list, which I was surprised didn't make it to you list (maybe in your Part 2?) but would love to hear your take on them: X by Clive Christian, Eau Savage Extreme(black) by Christian Dior (you did list Eau Savage here), Aqua Viva by Profumo Roma, the original Hermès Eau de Toilette, Musk Kublai Khan by Serge Lutens and the long- discontinued Captain by Molyneux (my very first fragance). Thank you!
A few on your list are on mine: Ambre Precieux is in my top 5, and Psychedelique is in my top 10. I hope Dior Homme Parfum is nothing like Dior Homme Intense, because from that fragrance I learned that I cannot stand iris. And sadly Drakkar Noir was ruined for me (I was 12 when it came out, too) because all the boys in school started bathing in it, and that carried right on through college. Just played itself out for me way too early. I might revisit it though. It's been a while. Great list! I wonder how often things get bumped and moved around? If you do this annually, it would be interesting to see the ones that had to be let go to make room.
Great list .Terre The Hermes ?
Equipage by Hermes is also worth mentioning because it has that old school vibe but somehow refined and smooth
Dior Homme Parfum is KING! Happy with 12 backup 75 ml bottles :) Sebastian is the best fragrance reviewer!!!
I have Dior Homme Intense but can you tell me if it smells similar to Dior Homme Parfum or is it drastically different?
Great video. I have a bottle of Absolue Pour le Soir from 2009. I cherish it.
Oh please do it’s so good!!
Still anticipating the all time greatest cheapies list as you promised! 😊
I follow your posts and love them! I have never heard you mention Krizia Homme which has remained a staple especially in the cooler months since the late 80's. I would love to know your impression Sebastian 🙂
Is it still sold? I haven't seen it anywhere!
@@ThePerfumeGuy oh geez I hope so! I have the same bottle I bought 3 years ago. I save it for the occasions in which its best suited...evenings and winter...usually there is a fondu involved.
Great list I love your tastes from fragrances I have the similar tastes
Awesome! Thank you!
I'm pleased to say I own two of them, anyway, the Eau Sauvage EDP (exquisite, but the EDT version...no, little more than Lemon Drop candy in liquid form) and the heart-melting Guerlain Heritage (though my bottle is back in Ukraine; I will be getting a replacement). And there's one you have mentioned glowingly so many times it drives me nuts how impossible it is to find (even a sample/decant!), and that's Dior Homme Parfum. That's on my "won't give up till I find it" list. Checked out Dior Paris's site and they're out of it even there. What??!
Oh! Sorry to be so obvious. I noted that it was absent from the Dior site before I got to you saying the same thing in the video.
Fab list! Off the top of my head I'd add Guerlain Vetiver, Femme de Rochas, Shalimar and Nicolai. Patchouli intense. Xxxx
Thank you for stopping by! :)
Thanks for this. I would have to include Chanel's Antaeus and the original Givenchy Gentleman from 1974 in my all-time top 20.
Don't forget I have a part 2 cooking!! ;)
I love Eau sauvage by Dior and I have the EDP version.
Pacco rabbane pour home edp. Is one of the best too
Your collection in the background is amazing. You must have over 1000 perfumes! Dior Homme Parfum 2014 is exactly the same as 2020. I guarantee your 2014 has simply matured and thats why it may smell better/different
About 4000
@@ThePerfumeGuy wow, what a collection! that must be your fav room in the house
Love You videos...
Sebastian
You are the best perfume
Review man
I appreciate that!
@@ThePerfumeGuy
You are very welcome
Sebastian 💕
I go ga ga over anything fig, so Jo Malone's Wild Fig & Cassis has a place in my heart. 🤪
I still think it’s such a crime they discontinued Absolu pour le Soir from MFK. Apparently it was Kurkdjian’s personal favorite from the house. I’ll cherish my bottle as long as I can. It’s such an amazing wearing experience and I hate that I feel the need to conserve it now that it’s discontinued. Great list as always!
It's a major crime. I'm hunting for a bottle. We shall see if I can get a bottle.
Of all time? Let me get my popcorn ready.
And Part 1!! :)
Taking notes
Hello happy Saturday! :)
DRAKKAR Noir the winner. It is not just the smell. It is the memory that I have with this. Still gives me chills just thinking about it. Great great Fragrance and memory but current version is just sad sad rubbish. I miss the old version. Cheers Sebastian to bring them up
thanks for this review. I would add CORIOLAN de Guerlain but discontinued!!!
You're so welcome! Sadly though I never wore that Fragrance but not it sounds like I should have! :)
Vintage Z-14 is the way to go. Still affordable and delightful in the vintage. The current stuff is worthless. Of the fragrances you listed today Z-14 is far and away my favorite.
Thanks for sharing!
I would include Tempo from Diptyque as one the best fragrances ever. It is great.
It's good!!
Yessirr 👍🏽 🎯🔥🎯🔥🎯🔥
Hello!!
I have eau d'hadrien! Still love it. Gucci Nobile... Original Tiffany for men.... Chanel Egoist were awesome for the guys
Sadly I don't have a bottle of Gucci Nobile but it's an amazing scent. Same with Tiffany for Men! :)
@@ThePerfumeGuy omg yes! My ex bf's wore those. I'm literally wearing my HOLY NEROLI tee shirt as I'm writing this haha
The tar note in Angel for men really set the tone with the sexiness of the fragrance.
Oh yes it’s gone missing in current formulations!! 🥲
I truly think that "Drakkar Noir" should be on this kind of list. I haven't tried anywhere near as many fragrances as Sebastian has, so my list of greatest fragrances of all time might seem inexperienced. Here are some of my all time favorites, but these are not ranked: "Drakkar Noir", "Acqua di Gio Profumo", "Lalique Pour Homme EDP", Calvin Klein "Euphoria Amber Gold for Men", Source Adage "Monto'ac", Milano Fragranze "Basilica", Amouage "Jubilation XXV Man", Rogue Perfumery "Mousse Illuminee", Mandarina Duck "Black Extreme", "Narciso Rodriguez For Him EDT", "Dior Homme Intense", Rochas "Moustache EDP", Roja Parfums "Elysium", V Canto "Mea Culpa", and more. I also might add Creed "Aventus", Givenchy "Gentleman EDP", Issey Miyake "L'Eau D'Issey Pour Homme Noir Ambre", and Dior "Fahrenheit Parfum".
Hi Sebastian. Can you do a review of Boadacia the Victorious, Spirit of Dubai & Henry Jacques houses? Thanks.
All three are a bit tough and hard to find near me but we shall see. Maybe one of them for sure!! :)
DIOR HOMME: agree, one of the best perfumes and the price is perfect. 💙💙
Thanks!!!!
No problem!
I have Dior Homme Intense but can you tell me if it smells similar to Dior Homme Parfum or is it drastically different?
DHP would also be my number 1, a close 2nd for me would be Halston Man Amber.
Why on earth would they discontinue Dior Homme Parfum? Madness. I would have put Tauer’s LADDM/ACDD on the list just because of how great a fragrance it is and what a modern niche icon it is. Great list Sebastian, putting a pin in some of these
LDDM might be on Part 2 but yes angry about DHP and its potential discontinuation. :(
My time favorites of all time:
Gucci pour homme II
Gucci pour homme
Gucci Envy
Cartier Roadster
Cartier l'envol
Issey Miyake l'eau de Issey
Bvl Wood Essence
Terre de Hermes
Givenchy Pi
Armani pour homme
Mont blanc individual
Creed Royal oud
Bois de Portugal
Montale intense Cafe
Just to name a few I can wear these over and over
Thanks for putting this out there so I can judge your tastes 😂
My signature scent of 2021 and one of the best: Arabesque The Merchant of Venice
Wow 😍
Hello welcome!!
I'm liking the high place of Drakkar noir
That thing has a very special place for me. I went through 4 bottles in my teens in the 1980s! ;)
@@ThePerfumeGuy we are of similar age so drakkar noir is more of a place in time for us than a fragrance. Love your content and thanks for the reply.
THANK you!! :)
Привет! Заслуженный топ с лидером Dior Homme Parfum💪
My # 1 in last 30 years: Play Intense by Givenchy
hi SEBASTIAN IM GOING TO GET THE FIRST SUGGESTION AZZARO POUR HOMME IN JUNE IM SO EXCITED XXX
I love Absolue Pour Le Soir. It’s raunchy and sweet. Which other perfumes would u recommend as substitutes for it? I have less than 1 ml remaining in my bottle!
Sweet and raunchy, does that mean it’s sex in a bottle?
@@ThePerfumeGuy Not many people have smelt APlS, so those who have or who own a bottle belong to a secret society almost! Can u or any viewers give me some suggestions for close alternatives? I'm desperate!
Check this video out: ruclips.net/video/zUBAjP5hhcA/видео.html I did it comparing to two other Fragrances. Not identical but have similarities! :)
@@ThePerfumeGuy Ta! I have Ambre Sultan, but the bay leaf note annoys me
I have 2 1/2 of the ones you mentioned…
Royal Oud
Tobacco Vanille
have Grand Soir instead
awesome video....
Thank you 😀
I love Dior Homme Intense, I do, but recently I managed to hunt down a 100ml of Parfum and it’s catching up to Intense rapidly. They are very close.
Also, about its removal from the website. It is still there, you can click on it, it just says it’s out of stock. But that happened a few times before and they always restocked it. Hopefully it’s just that again!
I have Dior Homme Intense but can you tell me if it smells similar to Dior Homme Parfum or is it drastically different?
I will layer declaration + grand soir and make believe it's pour le soir..
I tried Dior Homme Parfum and Intense several times jic they change my mind but nope too lipsticky for my taste. Cartier L'Envol EDP is a much better version for me. To me it's in the same ballpark family of fragrances but not as lipsticky. BTW, looks like you have a sweet taste for fragrances, what do you think about TF Noir Extreme?
Also highly recommend giving Fleur Universelle by Lalique a try.
✌️✌️✌️✌️🔥 great list
Glad you think so!
