I own a 991.2 GT3, and it’s an awesome car, and I personally think it looks better than a 992. The tough part about official comparisons of Porsche lap times is that it doesn’t take into account the newer tires. This 991 with Cup 2 R’s (like the 992 has when tested) has a very different lap time than testing it in 2018 when these cars came out with way less sticky rubber.
@993mike That's not an unpopular opinion at all. I don't really like how fatter the 992 looks. The majority of the car guys think the 991 is one of the best-looking gt3's of all time. I really love how graceful it looks, the 992 gt3 is a great car no doubt but the 991.2 is just more special Porsche perfected the gt3 formula with the 991.2 it was simply perfection. you Sir, are really lucky in owning the last great gt3 model. The only 992 model I liked was the Turbo S.
@@brock7405Literally the most pointless comparison you just made there. So a racing car done a 6.48, which was actually not all that good when you consider a GT3rs isn't far off that.
@@weallfollowmanutdLmao the new Gt3 has as much aero as Mclaren lm. You are acting like it does not. Molta intelligenza del pilota (a proposito, non sono riuscito a capire chi è) che ha saputo sfruttare questo potenziale alla perfezione. E il tempo ottenuto gli dà ragione!

🤩well done! Very nice clean lap, now i have a good reference one for practicing 😎👊🏻 Flugplatz in 4th gear as you did here is much better than me in 5th gear! You kick me easy 2.5secs here, so now i know what to do 🤙🏻
Have fun! Hardest part is always finding a free space on track 🤣 I can see a few places I can do a little better but I don't do many laps in a year and lack a bit of confidence in high speed stuff. Flugplatz I'm happy with though that was always a good corner for me even 15 yrs ago in a Volvo 😄
@@sebastianvittel74 Yeah I know, just an FYI that most people reacting to your stories would have a hard time getting through. A friend of mine was interested in some bits but no biggie anyway
Fantastic skill, fast lap aided by lack of traffic (two overtakes) and enough circuit knowledge to go around blindfolded, would have liked to see the state of the tyres at the end. Really enjoyed it.
Driving at the limit requires precise control, anticipation, and quick decision-making. Mastering techniques like heel-toe shifting and understanding your car's dynamics is crucial. Always prioritize safety and adhere to traffic laws when pushing your limits on the road.❤❤❤❤
And that is how to drive a Porsche. I'm not just talking about the absolute fearlessness - watch how early he gets on the gas on corner entry. That's the secret to these cars. All these people braking up to the very last second are totally missing the point. These cars need to have the weight on the rear tyres on corner entry - then they're on rails at ridiculous speeds like these. 👏
Impressive, it's 30 km/h slower at top speed than the new Taycan and still faster around the track. I never drove a GT3, but it must handle really well!
Very impressive! Great technique and I’m sure left-foot braking and using a clutch at the same time is not easy. You were very smooth on the back third of the track. You had a rhythm down which is what is needed. 🙌🏻
Pro tip: remove the TPMS sensors on each wheel with high performance light weight valve stems for added performance. And fill up the tires right before you drive on the track.
I would crash so hard if I had a delta in my face like that lol. I've done 20 laps or so BTG irl, none of them timed, I know myself. Fantastic lap in any case, you could clearly go over all corners blindfolded beginning to end.

That’s pretty nuts for just a dude on his own and other cars out there. Definitely makes you understand the Porsche hype
the fact that its a fractial of the price of a italian sports car is insane, you get a real race car for cheap money

As a fan of manual shifting, I'm very pleased with this video 😌
I've come back so many times to watch this lap. If and when I hopefully own a GT3, it will 1000% be a manual, and ripping BTG times. Awesome lap.
