I forgot to mention the GPU temps, but it got to 60 degrees while gaming and didn't seem to get much higher. You can see the results in the benchmarks and stress tests too, showing about the same levels. So actually cooler than I expected.

I wish mobo manufacturers would place a pass-through hole on the board in the vicinity of the CPU socket where various wires (fan, pump, rgb etc,) could be run, similar to a mounting hole but slightly larger. I cannot see an issue with this proposal...whaddya' think?
Thanks for the video Prawn. I'm glad I went with a 7800x3d instead of the 14900, first AMD CPU since Athlon 64 :)
Even after all these years, my 'Merican ears still get thrown for a loop when the rest of the English speaking world says "zed" and not "zee" lol
Thank you friend.
🦐💢
Sometimes you buy a CPU and end up not liking it and don't want to live with it. So I could see myself buying an i9 that ends up being problematic and wanting another CPU. An i7 would be the logical choice since it is the same socket and performs about the same in games.
I ended up doing the opposite by replacing my i7 14700kf with an i9 13900kS. I always wanted an "S" but was not willing to pay the "S" tax. I got it at Newegg(US) for less than the i9 14900k.
The i9 13900kS uses a lot less power than the i7 14700kf and does not thermal throttles even in R23 using stock AORUS Pro X settings with a 360mm AIO. It is shockingly good.
Nice
