- The couch finally came...well a couch came! We decided to pivot after some delays on the original couch and it turned out better than expected!

Try using a small crochet hook to pull the snags from the front of the cushion.
The couch looks so good after the cleaning. I'd suggest getting a few throw blankets and you could fold one over the snags to hide them and prevent more snags.

Hope you didn't cut the snags. You can pull them through with a very tiny metal crochet hook.
DON'T CUT THOSE RENEGADE THREADS...Unzip the cushion cover and using a crochet hook, pull them to the underside.
If you cut them, you could experience ravelling...

I think we have the same couch (is it an Ashley Furniture?). We got a puppy and we bought cushion covers from Nolan Interior for the chaise and the other cushions for easy washing! Also, the chaise cushion on ours always slips out…we put the rubbery shelf liners from the Dollar Tree under the cushions and it worked wonders!

Hey have you thought of “poking strings” back inside cushion instead of cutting the stringy things like you said. Cutting them may cause holes to develop …poking the thread things back through won’t . You can also twist the stringy things into little knots, as you poke them into the inside the cushion. I hope this makes sense as I’ve had to do this a number of times on a number of items. And it works.
A crochet hook would do the job of pulling the snags to the backside of the fabric.

Yep!! This GREAT advice!! Also w/ sweaters you wear...never cut the snags...tuck them thru because they are often made w/ one long ball of yarn and cutting it will make it unravel more!!

Sooo much better than the other one. Now you have room for proper end tables, so you can have lamps, which are super important in the evenings.

You can always lay a nice fluffy cover over the end of the lounge part of the couch for decor
You might be able to unzip the cushion covers and go up through the underside of the fabric with a slender needle to catch the snagged threads and pull them through to the inside.
I like the size of this couch better than the other one because our traffic pattern is more open.

You can get a solid color like cream or light grey area rug. then it will look good with your patterns.

Love it what a great find. I remember when I was your age, years ago, my first apartment, a coworker gave me a couch. No Facebook Marketplace then, just classified newspaper ads or a friend of a friend who was getting rid of things. I didn't what to look all over so took coworkers old couch. The ugliest couch ever, orange plaid and it was like 94 inches, huge, could barely fit inside. I was so happy to have a place to sit none of that mattered.
Looks so good- the perfect size! Use a sweater shaver on any pilled areas on the cushions. Should work great.

Great find congratulations would you consider putting feet on it and pulling it out from the window so you aren't climbing over it to open windows also putting a long console table in front of the railings to hold a lamp and some plants would look good.💞💞
That couch looks like it was made for your living room! Looks soooooo good! Should never cut snags tho...tuck them under themselves like thru the cushion so it is on the other side. Same w/ a sweater or something because it could unravel the entire thing making it bigger. Also, if somebody sews you can throw a few stiches in the ends of the snag so they do not keep going. You really did good on this couch tho and it looks good and comfy too!!!

That couch fits so prefect its like it was custom made for that space - perfect! Just make homemade room couch linen bathroom it car spray - combine rubbing alcohol water and some essential oils in a spray bottle - so much healthier for ya!

Looks good for being used in now you wanted a different color for now it will work .When we moved into our new house everything we had all used furniture except for the crib we had a 2 year old and a 2 month old .

there a fabric glue , that dry's clear and soft. you could glue those threads right back into the rows.

I really love the couch! I had a sectional for years and loved it. Now I am going with two lounge chairs and a loveseat. Love that two!
It's probably too late, but when you cut strings that will make fabric pulls/holes bigger. It's better to poke threads down into fabric with a needle. From a Sewer just wanting to help.

I love sectionals, and that one’s in great shape. Facebook marketplace is great for getting good condition. Used furniture for a really low price and sometimes for free if you come and get it from them they just want it out. But you probably already know this lol. I like the color and it’s great for not showing Oopsies as much. The size is like it was made for you. It’s perfect right there and so much cheaper than that new one and fit so much better. I bet you’re really glad that it was delayed so much now lol. Excellent job both of you. At least you’re on the same page both picked it out separately. Oh I’m so glad that you can afford since you save so much money on the sofa, to have somebody come out and clean it. Even though it looks really clean. Yeah no it’s somebody else’s life on it you know what I mean….😉
When you picked the first sectional I thought, no, no it's going to be too overpowering, they always seem smaller in the store. Don't cut off those pieces, push them through with a sewing needle. If you cut them it will make a hole.

Perfect for your space and that price was better too. I was worried about the other couch will be too long for hallway and stairs area. I have kinda same situation with our couch and I wish we got smaller size lol. Still enjoying it though.

If you haven't cut the snags, don't. You can use a tapestry needle or tiny crochet needle to weave the snag back in.

that sectional is absolutely perfect for that room...what a great score :) if you are able I would cancel the other sectional and wait until you buy your first home ( that you are going to live in) and make the bigger investment in furniture then as something that works in this house might not be ideal in the home you buy some day in the fture. If the store has moved your delivery date a few times I can not imagine that they would not allow you to get a full refund.
On another note, just a suggestion, I think if you added lob=nger drapes that come to the floor in the rooms that currently have the shorter drapes, you will a) the longer ones behind the sofa wont blow up onto the sofa when the window is open and its windy out and b) in the other rooms where you can see the full window and drapes, longer drapes just make your ceilings look taller and overall are just a very pleasing estetic look. This is very much a personal design choise, some peope are very much the long drape club ( that would be me, lol) and others not so much. a few throw blankets on the sectional could hide any of the little pulls and also very functional for cluddling up on movie nights :)|

I was looking at that short window and thinking it was awkward, until you walked in with another piece. No one even needs to know that isn't a full-length window behind there. It looks comfy. Those are just little cat scratches I think. You may be able to stop them raveling with a little fabric glue.
