The little amp that Sundown forgot... No dyno test, not even pictures available on the site. I bought one anyway. Can't believe how loud it is compared to the 1000w Crescendo 4 channel it replaced. I can also double down and run it at 1 ohm in the future. I'm really happy with this lil guy.
3 yrs later and mine is still going strong! I live in South Florida and never had an issue. I will say the history of sfb amps burning up I have never bought another since 2020 sadly!
I just went out and bought this amp TODAY because of this video. I can't wait to run my first four-channel amp. All my door speakers are Memphis M-Class 6.5's I have been running off a head unit, with a Sundown SA-15 on a SFB3000 in the rear. Everyone has been telling me I need more power to the door speakers, so here I go.
@@cfmechanic Love it. It's so loud and clear, it makes my head unit sound like muffled ass. And it's a $600 Kenwood so it's not a cheap piece either. Actually the SFB200.4 has provided so much clean power to my door speakers that I upgraded my SFB3000 to the SFB5000, and doubled up on subwoofers. So even with 2 SA15's in a ported QBomb box, I can hear my mids and highs. The clip light is excellent for roughing in your gain setting, and the amp is tiny. It does get warm though.
Running 8 6.5's in my doors also with a 500.4.. if you ask me I'm sold on SUNDOWN AUDIO, THERE PRODUCTS ARE AWESOME, RUNNING 4 6.5'S SA NEOPRO'S, CAN'T WAIT FOR EM TO MAKE A SHALLOW MOUNT SO I CAN RUN 8 TOTAL SUNDOWN'S ON THIS AMP 500.4
Running this on a Infinity Kappa 6.5's which are 2.3 ohm nominal and an SFB 3000.1 on a pair of Deaf Bonce DB 275 15's. Upgrading to a SFB 5k this week. Loving these amps so far.
Sup D. Bought 2 of these 200.4s for highs and mids and 2 of the 3ks for 2 V2 12s. Couldn't be happier man. Cust service on pointe. Wish i could post a pic for advertising tho....
OMG.....For $219 I am VERY impressed sir! I'm betting it sounds just as good. Class D has came so far it's crazy. I'm still trying to convince a lot of my fellow audiophile friends that they cannot not tell the difference. I'd gladly pay for shipping both ways to do some blind testing with this little beast and embarrass some egos. LOL. I have several sets of high end car audio speakers including my Hybrid Audio Legatia SE's that I love to use this amp on. Also the classic Sony C90 headunit. Either way sir, nice amp and video!
I have this amp and its the perfect beginner amp. Dont cheap out. This things stronger than the "2000w" $150 amps. Dont be fooled by scammer companies claiming 1000+w at under $250. About half as good as my old Kenwood 920w system i had
What about the HEAT?? I'm sure we're gonna be running that amp for LONGER than a few seconds. How HOT will it get running that much power for ..... lets say ..... AN HOUR??
IDK about anyone else but I have never had good luck with full bridge, whether it's some sort of feedback or interference, always running hot, high amp draw, low sq, even with a JL processor and C2 highs and mids. I have never had good luck with them. To wach their own.
@@thedraftdoctor1 I have always used Zapco or JL for my highs and mids. I have a Zapco ST-6X right now. Are they expensive YES!!!! lol but worth every penny. I tried a sound digital for a while and I hated it. I'm not a full bridge fan to begin with but from my experience and from what I have heard they just dont do it for SQ.
I wish I had the money to buy a couple of those amps, 2 6.5, and 2 8s. Your guys products are pretty awesome. Keep up the good work. Thanks for the video
@@cragre28 wouldn’t that be seeing a .5 ohm load if he wired it as you described? The amps are rated at max of 1 ohm stereo that’s why when he did the bridged mono test he only went down to 2 ohms because the amp would be seeing half of what load you put on it unless I missed something which could be a possibility🤔
How do people like the sound quality of full bridge amps? It seems like somewhere there has to be a draw back to make all that power with a small footprint and small amount of components.
Great products, from tests I watch on RUclips, but why such an incomplete website? I went with different amps and subs about 5 months ago simply because of how terrible the website was.
That was awesome, Great price, great wattage! Only problem for me, would be figuring out what I'd have it running. Lol. So many choices😁😁 Great break down for sure. Only question being, when it's bridged to 2 channel, can it run at 1ohm and what would the wattage output be?

hey man I bought 2 sfb amps but they make my speakers have a buzzing noise. is there any way I can reduce or eliminate that noise? I have high quality stinger RCAs and my other amps don't make this noise. thanks.
If you disconnect the RCA's, you can actually hear the amp clipping if you turn the gain up too much. Sounds like an electrical humming. Just back it down until it goes away. Hopefully that is your problem.
Des420, I really appreciate that info, I'm going to try that 1st thing in the morning,, but honestly for the power output of these Amplifiers I still wouldn't be upset,, I can get by the little noise with tunes turning heads,, loud as fuck amps!!! @@bernee6969 No worries. Had some other issues myself recently and it's nice to try help with something similar... Especially these little amps. Was testing in the yard today and the neighbors were not too happy... So I sat out there for an extra 20 minutes. Not quite sure how less power can be louder, but I'll take it! Please post back whether or not it solves the issue. Hope so.
Will this unit run in mixed-mono (or God forbid using Kenwood's old terminology, Tri-Mode ?) for someone who wants to use this as part of a passive x-over designed setup ? For instance, taking Amp1 for the Left side and Amp2 for the right ? As an example, one stereo channel of Amp1 running a passive tweeter (front stage) along with the second stereo channel of Amp1 running a rear fill coax, then using the bridged channel for a big midbass for the front stage ? Obviously fader control goes out the window, but not without simple solutions (resistors). Would each 2 channel amp side run 'happily' with a 4ohm tweeter (with passive xover) and a 4ohm CoAx on each stereo channel with a 4ohm Midbass running bridged ? ....being fed from a simple highpass from the headunit ? Being that this little unit if 1ohm stable, it sure would solve alot of problems if it could run as described above, as the problem with most 2ohm stable 4 channels is that they are either too much or not enough power and cause most guys that like that punchy mid to power it separately from their tweeters, as the tradeoff is either popping tweeters and/or crazy steep xover slopes or underpowered midbass. Until someone builds a decently affordable 6 channel that is at least 100x2 with a pair of 50x2 channels in there somewhere, this might be a simple answer thanks to the acceptable impedance(s) supported.
