      @Luc4rro 7 месяцев назад

      Not only a pain to deal with, I've noticed a trend when testing these guitars in guitar stores, that hardtail versions are noticeably better sounding than FR and tremolos. For me it was such a big difference, that I've easily resigned from dives and other whammy bar tricks. Moreover, I would love to see more DK24 iterations. I've wanted San Dimas at first, but comparing them San Dimas are much more bulky, and nowhere near as comfy in high positions as DK24s - their body cuts are perfect!

    Love Charvels, but the paint wear pattern is identical on these, and frankly I just don't get it (just my personal taste) why someone would want a fake reliced guitar in the first place when what we all should be doing is shutting up and playing our guitars - something that in the fullness of time will result in our very own personal dings, dents, and wear patterns, with their very own authentic stories to tell - provided we play the shit out of our guitars, like we should.

      @@BodhiSoftMobileAppsdude you absolutely can’t. Most guitars are poly finish nowadays. They’ll never age with playing, even for 100 years, and if you take a sand paper to it, it’s going to look disgusting. @angusorvid8840 7 месяцев назад

    I'm not into relics but one thing that would make this line look more authentic is NO SEYMOUR DUNCAN DECAL on the pickups. I mean, they can use whatever kind of pickup they wants, but in the 80s Duncans did not have the company name on the pickup. Ignoring this sort of nullifies the desired effect of relicing in the first place. It's like a '59 Les Paul with a Floyd Rose.

    • @Darth.Shredder
      @Darth.Shredder 7 месяцев назад +2

      You can rub off the Duncan logo if it bothers you (use scratch remover) but if authenticity is a concern there are bigger factors like the pau ferro fretboard, the spoke wheel truss rod adjustment location, the 12th fret dot spacing, the direct mount pickups, the recessed Floyd route, no skunk stripe.

      Obviously for people who like relic guitars

      Hmmm they’re for people who like old worn in feeling guitars that aren’t suffocating under 20 layers of plastic paint. Sort of like a comfy pair of ripped levis that have been washed 532 times. What’s so wrong with that?

      @@mKreifeldt so buy a guitar that actually has mileage on it. That’s not what these are. They are mass-produced clones with no experience. Just doesn’t seem like there is an actual market to justify the expense, unless they are using it as a loss-leader to sell something else at a better margin. I don’t buy jeans with holes either, that’s a complete waste of money.
