A look at the coming lineup of VFC GBBRs! Including a look at the some of the retro airsoft ARs they have coming.
Note I also confirmed later that the XM117E2 flash hider has no holes inside and is not an exact copy of the real one, which should mean there's no issue with importation to the US.
They should make the M653,M723 and the C7/C8 rifles and carbines
Note that it does indeed seem like the XM177E2 flash hider doesn't have internal holes so **should** be good for import to the US without strange issues.
Note also that the special A1 handguard will reportedly only with the first batch of the XM148s, so if you want it get it early.
If holed compensators are what's on your mind, then the DNA product, is what you should find!
@@keyboardcommando5146 Yep, I've actually got a DNA one for a future build, which is more correct, but also makes it much more iffy to import to the US for those living there.
Original ones had baffles, all VFC has to do is make it a solid straight pipe and all will be well.
The flash/blast from a birdcage at 10" isn't *THAT* bad, worst ones are the compensated breaks.
@@dwon031 the true intent of that muzzle device wasn’t just mitigating flash, it was to change the sound signature to something more like the enemy troops, so the American infantry wouldn’t be as easily identified.
imagine if all of a sudden, they made it so airsoft guns had to be 922R compliant, that would kill the import industry, best not to give the ATF any ideas
Hi, did you look at the VFC HK M110A1 SDMR at all? Ive seen a still of a presentation where it says "Gas Blowback Rifle" in the background, but the one on the wall at the stand is an AEG from the label. Do you know if they are doing a GBBR M110A1 SDMR?
I'll check; I also didn't look at it closely because at their exhibit it said AEG, but you're right that at a later presentation I saw pictures that said it was GBB. Unfortunately they didn't upload videos of that presentation so I need to ask some people.

Let me see if I get this straight.... VFC is going to release the XM148 something that most gun enthusiasts let alone airsoft gun buffs have probably never heard of and they may sell 5 and they are not sure they will release the rifle that grenade launcher actually belongs to? Don't get me wrong the XM148 is a really cool idea, but VFC release the XM16E1 and or M16A1 stop with the comedy stuff LOL Great video by the way and thanks for keeping us up to date.
To be clear I'm almost certain VFC will release the M16A1 but they just can't/won't give a guarantee or date, so in that sense I'm just imparting what they've said. Which is slightly odd given that the XM148 is due out very soon; within a few weeks or so, so I'd think if there was going to be a simultaneous release of the M16A1 they'd say. But they've been quite secretive with releases sometimes.
@@GaosenKinetics Totally agree I saw a video with a VFC rep and a Cybergun rep (I believe) and he said he could not say now what was coming in 2023, but maybe in the next couple of weeks. Seeing the details in videos up close of the display M16A1 (its even marked M16A1) blew my mind. I have the real thing along with a Viper Tech M16A1 and DNA XM16E1 and the details are pretty right on the money. The Model 601 triangular charging handle is cool but not correct for an A1. The L M forging code on the upper just below the rear sight windage drum is also not correct but its a legit code in later non Colt uppers....still the attention to detail to even have that code in there... Its an automatic buy for me. Early transitional M16A1's in '67 could have a 3 prong flash suppressor.
vfc m16a1 yes please. that m249 system in a nam style m60 would be my heaven though.

what's the difference comparing with DNA's counterpart? Very interested...
DNA is quite the different beast; almost everything is steel where appropriate, the receiver is billet CNC, etc.
The VFC will be much more of a mass-production model, and a third of the price.
If you're a collector and aren't concerned with cost a DNA will of course be better, but they're not easy to find anyway.

Yep there was, but didn't do a video on it unfortunately

Yes, but no footage. The APC9 is looking cool but the version they had is still a fairly early prototype which was a little rough. Some issues with it still, MOA is haaard on the test guns, and didn't want to show a slightly malfunctioning gun.
It’s a flash hider right? Not a supressor?
It's meant as a flash hider but the real one has some baffles inside that reduce the sound signature just enough that in the '70s it was determined to be a sound suppressor legally speaking in the US.

Some replicas of the XM177 flash hider made outside of the US also replicate the baffles, since they're not regulated the same in other countries, but VFC seemed to have made them straight walled, which helps reduce import issues.

It actually doesn’t; I was there on an official press pass and the VFC reps handed me guns to look at up close etc.
the "請勿自取" sign actually means "do not touch by yourself" if translated directly, basically means that you have to contact the staff if you want to touch it. The tiny text just below it specified such statement as well. Most of the time the english part of a sign here get very simplified and often don't include the whole meaning of it. Hope that clear things out a bit!
Any word on whether or not the XM177 will have C02 mags down the road? I've seen some firing videos of this gun with standard gas mags and don't like the slow ROF and inconsistency of the power behind each shot. Would definitely be interested if CO2 mags were offered. Gun looks great.
