What do you mean decent? These two have no difference at all, except that the actual blu ray player has a little bit better coloration. Other than that, they are the exact same thing. Plus you can play games on xbox while the blu ray player can only play, well, blu ray discs of course because that's what it is ment to do. Nothing more and definitely nothing less.
Unless you have a super highend TV, like the old Z9D or Sony Master Series TVs, LG - Panasonic OLEDs, its totally not worth it to replace your Xbox One X with a dedicated UHD player. Even then its not really necessary. Mircorosft did a really good job for a device as cheap as the One S/X .
To my eye the Sony UBP has the slight edge but its so slight it is almost indistinguishable. It was more apparent with the 1st video in regards to contrast, more subtle, but it really adds very little to the overall viewing experience. If I had the money I would get the XSX as you would get a gaming console on top of a 4K Blu Ray player
Excellent Video! I'll Keep my Xbox One X. so many people in these comments are biased AF :) The Xbox One X may not be the best but the fact that it does everything well, it earns a space in my rack. Xbox One X has Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision support
@@DylanMcCubbin123 Not for 4k discs it doesn't.
Great video buddy this is qn awesome video man I wanted to see this video man but to be completely honest I think the xbox one x did a fantastic job and it cost less then the blu ray player and your getting a gaming console I mean there was no loss in detail color was great contrast may of been slightly worse but really it just looked like the xbox one x was brighter like truely outstanding video this just shows how far microsoft has come the detail on the xbox one x is stunning to see it compete with sonys upscaling that's just outstanding man I mean truely think about that I'm set was going to get another 4k blu ray player after seeing this nope it isnt going to happen man tou really wouldnt notice it if you didnt have something else side by aide now you need to really do a side by side with an oppo haha and Sony I'm still shocked I figured the Sony would be better then it is or the xbox is just that good like damn microsoft needs to get into other shit if they can do this good and almost match Sony that blows my mind bro you need to do more videos like this alot of people enjoy these including me idk how but I was subscribed to yoy and now it seems like I got unsubscribed I swear people need to watch there subscriptions because youtube seems to undo alot of them then you have to resub its messed up and half of my notifications get switched off its def RUclips trying to get people less views its really fucked up sry about the punctuation if you havent noticed I've got some serious phone issue but 2 more months I will be upgrade eligible and I wont have this stupid issue anymore so I'm sry about the punctuation buddy please try to read through my comments best you can
Glad you liked it and it helped you. And I hope you get a phone with commas and periods haha.
RUclips is very shady with how they handle views and subs. That’s what I’ve learnt. Thanks for re-subbing!
What about the differences in Audio?
So XOX is a decent player. No need to buy dedicated player.
Awesome comparison being using my Xbox one x dint like the pic image would definitely be upgrading to a Panasonic UB 9000
Wasting money.....check :)
I was surprised by this. going to try again with Blu-ray on the PS5
I can have Hulu, Amazon Prime, RUclips TV or any other streaming service and play 4k Discs from one machine and that makes it well worth it. Plus it's cheaper than most mid tier dedicated players.
Man, you know your tech!
I use my Xbox one S to watch 4K movies but I'm thinking about getting a Sony 4K blu ray player down the road.
Quick question, if the xbox doesn’t have dolby but my tv has it. Do i get the dolby experience or not in this case?
It has DV support for streaming apps, not discs. For discs it’d just output HDR10
Did you do one for ps4 and the sony 4k blurayplayer?
The PS4 doesn’t play 4K discs.
Isn't the X-box very noisy when playing 4k/bluray discs? Are 4k bluray players very quiet?
mines super quiet i have the xbox one x and have used as my primary player for a while
I actually just purchased the sony ubx 800 uhd player, I love my Xbox but holy cow the stand alone kills it, no comparison
tell me how the disc is inserted into the player? the tray is leaving?
