what spread ??
These are the most legendary wings in Vancouver! So good to see they inspired you to show off your twist, your take on them. Looking forward to this one QT!
Mmmmm such a good restaurant 🤤
I think some people are mislead by the Title of this Video. The restaurant in VANCOUVER BC is called PHNOM PENH and they have this dish on their menu under their Cambodian list of cuisine. The restaurant is a bit confusing in regards to their name and the food severed because there are like more than 50 dishes on the menu to choose from. But majority of those dishes on the menu are actually Chinese food with a bit of Thai, Vietnamese and Cambodian food served as well. There is like maybe 5 items on that menu that is actually of Cambodian origin with maybe a few cross between Thai food since they are bordering neighbors and some cross fusion with Chinese, Vietnamese and Singapore. The owner of the restaurant is of Cambodian and Chinese descent and this dish is actually Chinese/Cambodian. My mom makes this exact fried chicken and she is half Chinese and half Cambodian. This restaurant was fairly popular but it became more distinguished and more popular when ANTHONY BOURDAIN did an episode and review on it about over a decade ago.
Thai food isn't even Thai, Thai is biting off Laos and China. Most of Cambodian food is Laos and Chinese not Thai, Thai didn't originate anything. Let's be real.
@@Israeli_Prince First off what does "Thai food isn't even Thai " mean? lol. You clearly don't know anything. That is just dumb grammar. Thai, Loas, and Cambodian foods are more alike because they use more spices in their everyday cuisine. The cultures are practically the same as they are all in the proximity of the same region on the continent and they derive from a different history and empire. Vietnam, Singapore and many other small countries that fled China and wants their own state of sovereignty has more distinguished foods that are like the Chinese. Some of them are practically Chinese because they pretty much speak the same dialect. Bat all in all there are influences that transcends the from China but they still have their utmost distinction as a culture.
thanks for the recipe quang! my wife is cambodian and i‘m going to cook this for her.
hahaha the random names get me every time 😂 love your channel quang! never fail to make me
giggle when i’m down
As a Kevin, Quang was coming after me to make sure my recipe notes were correct. Geeeez QT I'm listening already!
😅 make sure you erased the 1 cup to 1/2 cup
Quang. I am Cambodian and I approve this recipe. Chicken wings remind me how my brother n law makes it. It’s delicious. You should make more Cambodian food Quang. I literally was drooling the entire time watching this.
Kevin make sure you take good notes 😂😂 these look 🔥🔥
I'm Cambodian, and I gotta say this. This is the first time I've ever heard of Phnom Penh Cambodian fried chicken lol.
It's inspired by a restaurant named pnom penh
It’s the name of the restaurant
@@roberjohnsmith i’m Cambodian, they can do whatever they want it’s still not an actual Cambodian dish. Lol Looks delicious though
He may not have used the ingredients Cambodian people typically use on our fried chicken, but there is “Khmer fried chicken”. It’s like saying “Thai chili peppers” That ain’t Thai. Should be happy he talking about our dying culture
@Tom Home good to know. But still looks delightful none the less. Take care my friend. God bless you
i don't think i've ever been called out so much from quang before. but i'm LISTENING!

Oh man…been looking for this recipe. My GF is going to be so excited!
Pure cooking legend this guy
1 thing I've noticed in the world of cooking is that MSG is never necessary. The way I cook and the way my relatives that know how to get down cook as well don't ever use MSG. We flavor our food to perfection with love. That's all we need. What's no eaten can simply be fridged or frozen. Thank u for sharing. Looks good btw. Peace
Every single one of your fried chicken recipes is absolutely divine ..I love them all always tasty crispy and full of flavour ..Fabulous cooking Quang and I love your mukbang too ..x😊💕❤️🥰
Love it, we do something similar in Chinese cuisine, I'd imagine this is a bit more on the spicy side but nonetheless, very delicious!

That's a lot of tongs 😂
I miss eating those in Cambodia as street food dip with garlic kampot pepper sauce, and usually we just eat the wing tip cuz it’s probably a cheap street food

Smacking ontop of more Smacking. Smacking right till the end.
Thanks Mike
Quang, that would be perfect with the rice😊❤
Can you do a garlic salt pepper fried pork chops? The Chinese places' pork chops are so tender, how is it possible?
Marinating in baking soda for at least twenty minutes. Also prior to marinating rinse your meat pieces under cold water massaging the meat until it turn white. Thats is, when you notice your meat turns noticeably lighter in color. This also helps to tenderize your meat.
And corn starch
@@Hervinbalfour baking soda directly on the meat?
@@tizben yes. Massage it into the meat and let it marinate.
Hey QUAN. I know you tried the pepper wings at your fav chicken spot. 😋😋😋
I just finished my lunch a minute ago and I'm salivating again already....damn you Quang
Quang I used your recipe and it turned out great 👍 KFC chicken right!🍗 ✅️ 😂
tongs drawer??? yoooooo
I know! I was like whaaaaaat 😂
Thanks for the Cambodian Shout out!
I would recommend to use lemon first before salt pepper seasoning. Lemon juice will hold the seasoning well !!!

Yeah
Sooo Good 👍
