Fellow cilantro haters! Yay! One of the ways I like avocado is just sprinkled with a little black salt. I don't have a pizza cooker but I use my little Foreman grill instead for quesadillas.
I love your family. I love the simplicity of your life style. I’m not vegan but I enjoy seeing you cook together and eat together. Aldis guacamole is amazing. I usually make my own. Fresh salsa, little fresh lime juice and smashed avocado. Salt and pepper and hot sauce. All the chopping of veggies is done for you when you buy the fresh salsa. My aldi has started selling fresh salsa but I haven’t tried that brand yet.

My father has like 5 or 6 canes. Recently received a call from our local(20 miles away) WalMart. They had 2 canes with his name on them. He also got a 3rd one back from his barber the other day. He gets his hair cut once a month. They had called him to let him know they had it. But he forgot who it was that called. So he didn't get it back until he got his next haircut. Then our local small town grocery store had 2 more behind their counter a few months ago! He has so many because he keeps forgetting them everywhere!
they should try elotes! it’s grilled corn with mayo and parmesan cheese on it and some chili powder. everything can be done in a vegan way. even use some tajin 😄 tajin is vegan and it’s delicious. i eat it on my mangos and watermelon.

I love watching these vids. One thing we have always tried to do as a family is eat together, obviously it’s not always possible with an 18 and 21 year old, but at least 5 nights a week we usually manage it. We all hear about each other’s day and catch up. I can honestly say that I never want my kids to leave home, but it’s inevitable one day, so I really cherish all our time together and mealtimes are precious and fun. guac in the container is terrible! its always way too lemony to preserve the color. find perfect avocados, add diced tomato, onion, minced raw garlic or g powder, fresh hot chilies, and a dash of lime or vinegar, just tiny bit. or ,, mash the avo (not too mashed) and simply add fresh salsa to it. and if you dont like cilantro any type of parsley works

Cilantro, coriander in the uk .... it’s actually got a gene for liking/not liking - seriously- so your whole family has it. I have the ‘not liking’ gene too. It tastes soapy.

It's usualy lemon or lime is used in guacamole to keep it from turning. FYI when buying avocados pop the cap on them if it's green it will be good inside. Also I tend to buy my avocados on the firm side if I'm not going to use them for a couple days less chance of being bruised. Put them in a paper bag not plastic roll it up leave for 2-3 days the gas inside that buildup ripens them. Check them after the second day if not ripe enough give them another day. You can do this with any thin skin fruit peaches, plums, necterines etc.

A few drops of lime or lemon juice helps guacamole stay greener a bit longer and placing cling film on top too to keep air away from it as well. Stays greener a few days once you make it... I just ate an avocado with a roma tomato and a bit of onion in my salad 😊

Hi a little late to say something...but, just wanted to say I share your dads opinion on avocadoes! I have a hate live relationship with them! They are so good for you and and have a huge vitamin mega benefit for vegans! I buy the little snack portion packs because that is al I can handle...I want to live them so much! I mean they put them on tee shirts a few d stuff!! My daughter is the type that can eat out of the avo with just a spoon yeah one of those!! I think its the texture and the color quick change of them when exposed to air uh unappealing! I just tried Guacamole for the first time just a few days ago. That and humus from Trader Joe's, it was delish... I have yet to try avocado in my foods and I see a lot of people using avocado in different foods.

If you guys hate Cilantro, I have a question. Does it taste sort of like dish soap to the haters? If so, it's not a dislike, it's an allergy!! I could never figure out why anyone would choose to eat cilantro. Then I read an article about unique allergies that said if cilantro tastes like dish soap then you're allergic to it. I always wondered what it tastes like to everyone else since then lol. Trader Joes is my fav store in the universe and they have been adding it to too many items lately!! Who would put Cilantro in Wonton Soup?! It was in something else (non Mexican) that they were sampling. I insisted there had to be Cilantro in it...they told me they were nearly positive there wasn't, read the bag, I was right! Just thought I'd share that tidbit!
Ellen W There is research that shows that coriander can cause diarrhea, stomach pain, dark spots on your skin, dehydration and even depression. Also your cycle could be messed up. But then you have to take more than 200 ml of a 10% coriander extract for 7 days, so that's pretty much. Like cinnamon, if you have diabetes, coriander can lower your blood sugar level too much and if you have low blood pressure, then coriander is not good either. Because coriander also reduces blood pressure. Especially in combination with medication for low blood pressure you should be careful. If you are allergic to coriander, you are probably also for wormwood, anise, caraway, fennel and dill. Allergies have nothing to do with the taste of soap but it has to do with a certain gene.

Yeah but I swear I've tried other guac with it and this somehow stays green even better! Maybe more lime juice helps more? 🤷♂️

When I make my guacamole ( I have an avocado tree ) if it’s a large batch I leave in the seed. If it’s small I use fresh squeezed lemon juice.

Here in Albuquerque, NM, we are spoiled with fresh green chile. I use Hatch green chile in my homemade guacamole, instead of jalapeños! Delicious.
