my friend is playing a french chaotic evil plague doctor who cures “diseases” (actually just normal things like anxiety and being tired) with “medicine” (actually just drugs. The getting high drugs) and so far its been fun but no one has shown any fear near the doctor out of, well, fear.
Well he's not dying of the plague anymore... He dead, what are you on about?! Yes I can see that, but I'm not a liar. My cure stopped him from dying from the Plague...
I'm playing a rogue plague doctor. No actual healing, but I'm a rogue mastermind with a +10 to both deception and persuasion. I just pretend I know what I'm doing and roll for deception.
"Maybe he just doesn't identify as a druid" If it was up to me I say I'd allow it but you lose your druidic language, I think that's a pretty fair tradeoff
This was extremely helpful to me! I am very much a beginner in D&D, so its cool to have some unique ideas for characters and help with filling out sheets! I have now IDEA how you sont have more subs, because you have a very enthusiastic voice about you, so that makes it interesting. You know I don't think there's an actual good reason why you'd need to multiclass into druid since most of the stuff you get from spore either takes too long to get, you'll get it by continuing with cleric, or that you'll just generally get stronger the more levels you invest in death cleric with it's channel divinity necrotic damage based of cleric level and getting a second use of that faster
I can certainly start doing that - I have to for some of these homebrew classes I'm working on since d&d beyond limits us to making subclasses and not whole new ones.
If you can only or like to play in Adventure League for DnD then look to obtain Dragon Scale Armor as it will allow you to wear heavier armor as a druid
I'd certainly love too, however I'm a afraid this is a character I made pre-subscriprion to D&D Beyond - I was recycling my 6 character slots. As a substitute; Prioritize wisdom, Race; half elf, stat; wisdom and strength, skills; stealth (if med arm master), and history. Background; acolyte, but mainly up to you. Skills I choose; religion and nature. Class leveling; Cleric start, domain; death, reaper; chill touch, skills; insight and medicine. Take cleric up to 12 or what you see as appropriate, or desire to go into druid sooner - cleric 6 is a decent spot to jump to druid as you gain inescapable death or whatever from death domain. Once druid to level two, choose circle of spoores, not much beyond ASI choices now... ASI Priorities: Wisdom maxed out = War Caster = Elven Accuracy, then whichever your prioritize; Great Weapon Fighter, Prodigy, medium armour master (or the one that grants you the ability to use plate). Hope this helps for a quicker reference, and that you have a great time gaming.
I got a monk build with vhuman at level 1 I have healer, herbalism prof, nature prof, alchemist prof, insight, and medicine prof. I amd just waiting for a chance to play him
This looks like so much fun, but I'd like to know what skill stats to go with if I have to use Standard Array or Point Buy. Because 18 16 11 14 18 11 is extreme at the beginning. I also have no idea when to start multiclassing. A lvl by lvl guide would be good, even if its just a google doc file. So everybody could understand what you sould use at what lvl and why. I hope that was constructive criticism.
@Elwardos For sure, uhh a quick one from what i can see with this old ass build here: I think standard array is something like 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8? Wisdom 15, Strength 14 (if you wanna be close to plate), 13 Con or Int, 12 Con or Int, 8 Charisma. Or 13 Char, 12 Con, and 8 Int if you're going for that guy that doesn't actually know. Will say for a leveling, I see there being use for just going death cleric up to 12 and then finish off with druid to 8, 12 death domain is pretty sweet and gets you a lot of feats up front and higher spells. Otherwise, if you're looking for a mix of abilities while you go; Cleric to 5/6, Druid to 4/6, Cleric up to 12, druid up to 8. You get most of the cool shit in that route earlier on from class abilities. Edit: Will have to look at some of these older videos and builds again, but they're still fine. But as an example, Artificer has come out since, and that could be a nice fit in a new PD build.

hell why not, I'm pretty flexible as a dm, and as long as the RP is there I'm fine with most thing, as I think most reasonable people are.
