Agreed. Now I have to look him up.

Same here! He’s just so hysterical!
@@scottfortune9016 that’s exactly what I am doing too!
Same! So funny! 😂
All those words are in my dna, straight from the Souf 😂😂😂
Officer: Pull Over
Him: Its a cardigan, but thanks for noticing.
Lol ... Dumb and dumber
🙌
HOLLERIIIIING!!!!💀😀
@@mrPauljacob yup, that’s where that’s from
“Yeah, killer boots, man!”
This is one of the very few comedians that is actually funny, and without being nasty.
Yes I agree, I love that he does not use profanity.
The police repellent joke was absolutely spot on.
"Lets just say I never fit the description" 😂😂😂
@@amkow89 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Sure was 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yes it was
Yep...that was hilarious
“Police repellent”! 🤣 a cardigan! This bloke is so funny.. “freedom blinds!” “I have a dream drapes!” Oh man .. I laughed and laughed...funny from start to finish! Beautiful voice too. I'm going to listen again. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ oh... and just for the record.. he looks great! Love his ‘look’
Cute, too.
Big smile and bright eyes.
@@stephj9378 he’s very handsome... 👍
Seriously! His voice is like butter or better yet, gravy!
@@johnokamoto6762 how about?.... 🤔... buttered gravy! 😁
i thought the same that he has a good voice
Did everyone notice great humor without vulgarity? Thank you, Mike.
I did and I love that he did not use profanity.
Why does it matter?
@@xxtripleok some people want to hear good clean humor.
I’m white or identify as white. But I have to say the plantation sub division not my cup of tea.
@@paulatudor691 not understanding your point. Do you mean you want to hear more profanity?
"What you, not 'gon do" did it for me...😂 This guy is absolutely hilarious!!!
I love this guy's pure, cool, clean sense of humor! Amen.
Everyone needs a dose of Dry Bar to start the day
Mike is hilarious. "I can't live on a plantation." 😂 And the " Freedom blinds" item of preference was perfect.
"I have a dream" drapes 😂😂😂
🤣😂
Retch around n han me da phone, I'm finna call Pookie n nem!!! LOL 😆 🤣

Yep ☺️😁
I'm fixin to light out down to the stow n buy me a poke full a harsh taters ( Irish potatoes ) LOL
And brang (yes brang) me back a gallon a sweet tea🤣
Too funny y’all!
Favorite Southern word: fitty’leven (the “v” is optional) “I told you to get in the car fitty’leven times!”
or fordy-leven
True that!
Or fitty-leb'n with the "b" almost silent.
It gets real when there is an m sound at the end. 50Le'em
Infamous Southern threat: "Boi! (sounds like bu-woy), I'll slap fire outta you!"
Very, very likable comic. Excellent delivery. Holds the audiences attention very well. Funny, too!
TRUE!
Very good!
I live in the South, so when he mentioned his mama it made me think back to childhood. I don't recall Dad every making up words, but he DID make a phrase, I've never heard anybody else but me and him use it.
If I did something dumb he'd say "son, you need to use your brain for something other than just hair fertilizer!"
😁
My parents used to say "Use your head for more than a hat rack".
Two words (made up of 3 words) I love and still use among certain people is "usedtocould" and "justaboutgotta".
Ex. "I remember when we usedtocould get into the movies for $5. Now you "justaboutgotta" take out a loan" .🤣🤣🤣😂
I can't wait for this man to get famous, do some dvd's and albums, start touring and get some TV specials. I can't get enough of his humor, plus he just brightened up my whole day.
Dear God, elevate, promote and prosper this child of yours. Amen and let it be. Thank you
@@aoma9111 Thanks what my mother used to say!
“Police repellent “...ok from a cop...that’s funny!
Thanks for having a good sense of humor about it officer!
Hilarious. I am speeder, so sometimes I offer police officer donuts. I had one guy about to pee on himself

This is good. Whispers, "This black guy knows his stuff". Mike Goodwin you rock! Guys, Mike holds a Masters Degree in Education , a Christain and a motivational speaker . My goodness.✋😗😀
Fantastic! Ty for the additional background.
Proving you don't need foul language, aex jokes, and political attacks to be funny!
@@nancyduke9762 especially when you don't want to offend sensitive white people, right?
I'm from Greenville SC he's so right about the "whatchanotgo'nado" loved it!
Asheville, NC here....Loved his comedy.
Looooooove Mike Goodwin. Saw him in person several years ago. Y'all he's the real deal funny!
When we could go inside at Church, my family sat behind a gentleman named Bubba and his family. I did not know Bubba was Richard until 2020. I've known him since I was little!
I have an Uncle Bubba. I have no idea what his real name is.
LOL
To this VERY DAY... I know a Tweet, a Freight Train, a Wee Wee, & a Bullwinkle and couldn't tell you their real names to save my soul! 😂
I live in Jax Fl and one of my uncle's name was Aloysius (pronounced aloyishus), but everybody always called him Bubba. He was a very caring and giving soul and there were a lot of folks at his funeral. I don't know how many times we heard people saying "I never knew his name was Aloysius"... and one "well now I know why he was called Bubba, who wants to say Aloysius"?
Mr. Booger Putnam in Keene, TX. I still don't know that means real name and he used to pray in church. 🤣
He's not lying about the nicknames. My family is from SC. My cousin's nickname is "Monkey". When someone referenced her by her real name, I had no clue who they were talking to.
My cousin has a friend called Monkey. For the past ten years I've been trying to find out what that man's real name is, but nobody can tell me, cause they don't know either 😂
🤣🤣🤣
I totally get this,,, but from Britain. I lived in a small village where no one was known by their christened name and because i didn't grow up there it took me ages figure it all out. Even to the point thst all red haired bsbies could be traced back to the surname, Smith! X
That is my sister's nickname...I could not pronounce her real name when I was a toddler and called that and it stuck. I have a cousin with a nickname Rusty.
Fr🤣🤣 I'm from SC too
'Freedom blinds' 'I have a dream drapes' love it! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 so funny
His expressions & body language are so on point!! I could listen to him for hours.
I’m A Ga./SC gal and you are so sweet my southern gentleman! God bless you .
The word plantation makes me shutter! Lol
Shudder.

No, that was for windows, shudder is for a physical reaction.
If only everyone could have his approach to life! He's great!
🤔
I first saw him on America's Got Talent. Fun to hear a bit of his story and that his wife encouraged him to do full-time comedy. He's great!
Distinguished gentleman, well spoken, very funny. Much love
😒
😂It’s the cardigan!!!
Black People being "Well Spoken" always catches WP off guard... so much so, that they have to give you accolades for articulation.....lol
It is like we grew up together. Your humor and life are my humor and life.
I be knowin' , hahaha and a few others he didn't notice he says. So cute. We had a family from Tennessee in my congregation. His accent was so heavy. He always laughs and says, I'm gonna give you guys lessons so you can talk right. Haha. We enjoyed them.
He left out my favourite word from the south. The infamous triple contraction: Y'all'd've (You all would have).
I always loved fittenuh ( fixing to) and whazzam ( what's happening). I'm from New Orleans
This word is single handily fighting global warming by taking 4 words and making them one.
@@keetopuffs 'naw-lins, you say? U got dem crawdaddies? Da Begeezy.
I've heard this said as 'yallda' lol
Don't forget the question that every proper Southernor says when visitors show up at the house:
J'eetyet?
This man is hilarious and yep, he sure knows southern speak! Love my southern Virginia family and they have their own language!
My folks are from North Carolina! LOVE THE SOUTH! Sir you are AWESOME! Blessings on you💕
This guy was telling it like it is, kept a consistent flow, and was funny.
I'm from SC too. My dad's name was Skip and one of his best friends was Junebug. This guy is so spot one.
Is that a cardigan....😂😂😂
A Boston Red Sox cardigan. Dang, he should buy a cardigan for the local baseball team whither he listeth.
Never heard of Mike Goodwin until now. Dude is is very funny.
Great set -- plantation had me dead and around here they come up with some crazy subdivision names too. Who wants to buy a house in 'The Burning Embers" -- I'm not making that up I promise.
lol
Are you serious. It sure doesn´t get me thinking about any campfires!
The worst is they raze a forest to build the subdivision and called it Oak meadow because that's what it used to be
Yes! My relatives in Atlanta are like "this don't make no sense, no how"
Tears in my eyes (from laughing) from this!
Thank you. I love your comedy because it made me laugh (of course) but also because it made me think about what it is like to have a history which is different from the people around you. I am of mixed parentage in Britain and was bullied as a child. I never acknowledged how this affected me. I dont want to be bitter so your humour helps so much, thank you xx
I just "discovered" one of Mike's videos and was completely won-over....... I don't normally care for comedians, but he is the EXCEPTION..... great style, can make fun of the absurd, NO gratuitous filth,
AND he just seems like a genuinely nice person....... I hope 👍
I agree! Clean honest humor!
"Police Repellent" priceless
Mike Goodwin = Original material & unique style. I relate to his humor and look forward to seeing more of him.
Kudos to Mike making a white club laugh with him! We need more laughter in the world!✌🏾🥰
😂 freedom blinds and I have a dream curtains. Love it. And as someone said no foul language. Awesome job Sir.
I love how he ties one joke in with the other.
This dude has a nice smooth voice, cool chill personality, and relaxed fun humor! He looks classy too! Love his round glasses! Cool dude!
Everything about the South-TRUE!! 😆
-Been house shopping lately; One house was in a Plantation Woods subdivision on Plantation Drive…NOPE!!
Bless you Mike; you're healing the world with your gift.
My Grandmother’s name is Beverly G., and yet all my life me and my whole family have called her “T Jones” (there’s no “T” or “Jones” in her name at all lol). It’s even her name in my contacts. If you from the South and you got a nickname, then that’s your name until further notice!😂
Same
Beverly is an awesome name ❤️
My ex husband's name is Darryl, he didn't know that was his name until he was in the 1st grade when the teacher did roll call and called out, Darryl L? No one said anything, everybody's looking around, so she repeats it. Same results. So she walks up to him and said baby I'm calling YOUR name. His reply, na uh my name ROMEO!🤦♀️😂
Mike, you are a gem!
Or should I say Mike, you a gem!
I have a dream drapes! This guy is good
Intelligence, handsome and a sense of humor... this man has it ALL! 😁💜
Literally left here to go watch the full special and I’m in freaking tears! Mr. Goodwin 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Loved this skit. Too short. Going to search for more of his work! Made me literally laugh out VERY LOUD. I would love to see one of his shows live whenever this pandemic thing allows us to socialize much more.
He’s waaaaaay funnier than the crowd anticipated
They seem a little afraid to laugh, but this dude is HILARIOUS.
Love it! My father’s side of the family is from Camden and I can hear everything he said. The plantation shutters got me! Keep it coming, Mike!
He's Hilarious ! I hope to see more of his work !!
