This is a song you turn up in your car on a long drive to clear your mind, listening to it uninterrupted and more than twice in a row. I drive a semi and I first heard this song when I was hauling ass across west Texas. Tears and goosebumps. I grew up in a town of less than 2,000 people and this one directly hits home.
This song gives me chills every time I hear it. It really makes you appreciate what you have
David always gets me because my mom is an ER nurse and i couldn’t imagine what she has gone thru/seen, let alone if it was me or my brother. That being said, “William and Wanda” on Cody’s new album had me shook. It’s a 1 time only listen.
Being an er nurse myself I pray every night that God give me strength to keep doing my job. The stuff we see is heartbreaking and gut wrenching.

In Aug of 2000 Magistrate Kitty Herbert in Sumter SC gave me the go to war or go to jail option. I had 3 reckless driving tickets from the same Trooper in 6 weeks. I joined the Army to avoid 6 months in jail.

Listened to this song at work thought it was pretty good, when I got home I listened again and it brought me to tears
When I heard this song the first time it was just a sad song. Listening to this song again, I’ve since reconnected with and started dating my childhood friend, David. We lost touch when he moved as kids and he got into a whole bunch of bad stuff. I tell him all the time how proud and thankful I am he’s made it this long.

I lived it. Alcohol is my downfall. When I was 20, I got in a horrible Truck Wreck. B.A.C. was .48. I almost didn't make the Chopper ride to the Hospital ! Ive been in chronic pain since that night. Going on 14 years of Chronic Pain ! I got pretty banged up that night. Spent 8 weeks in the Hospital, I dont remember them putting the Halo on me, but I sure as hell remember when they took it off !!!

Thanks for reacting to this. This artist is new to me. I was drunk once on the hood of a car when we jumped the railroad tracks. Fortunately it had flooded on the other side. When I was thrown off I didn't get hurt. Joining the Navy saved my life and my Momma from a lot of hurt and pain.

Great reaction video man! Great song too. My boy got me into Cody years ago after he saw him live. He's finally starting to get the recognition that he deserves. On another note, I love seeing black folks do all different reaction genres and just trying something new. Like in rap, gotta give credit where credit is due. I had a battle buddy in Fort Leonard Wood and he was arrested and was given the choice of jail or join. He obviously joined. This was in 2021
