I said wow when I first saw your shirt. Fabulously cool. Thanks for sharing, Angie. 👻
Thank you so much! I think it's a fun one! 😀🎃
Thanks for the tip to put black between the colors it has given me inspiration to do some spirals. I like the shirt too!
Thank you, and I hope you have fun with them! 😀
LOVE the tip for taping the spiral to keep it together, and the way you laid the dye out on this shirt. Super cool results with an awesome as always tutorial, thanks Angie!
Thanks so much, I'm glad you like it!! 😀
The green is almost glowing! I love that!
Thank you! I agree, the green almost looks fluorescent. 😀
It’s like stained glass tentacles!
I love that description! 😀
It's a great shirt, I LOVE it! I especially love how you placed the colors. Colors are excellent!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much! 🤗
Love the shirt Angie!!! Colors and spiral are awesome!!!
Thank you so much! 😀
In definitely has a Halloween vibe.
Thank you! 😀
Wow!!! This is fabulous on every level.
Thank you so much! 😊
That's really awesome...I need that lime twist!!!
Thank you! 😀
Dusty orange is one of my favorite colors to dye with. The splits are so cool!! I'm thinking of using it on some kind of "fire and ice" type of shirt with an icy blue color.
That would look really cool! 😀
I struggle with tape also. I use a clip to hold it to the shirt until I get back to the start and I usually go around twice. There is definitely an advantage to the tape but I do have trouble handling it after It's taped.
Beautiful shirt 🎉 I love it!
That's a good idea! It's nice not having rubber bands in the way when I'm applying dye. However, I don't have it perfected yet where I can handle the shirt very much after using the tape. 😀
Came out great Angie, I think it would be cool in liquid dye tie dye too.
Thank you so much! 😀 I agree, this one would be cool to do again in a liquid dye.
Cool shirt!! It would not be for me, but I think it would be interesting to do a similar spiral with the black and add a spider to the center....especially since it's almost Halloween. 😅
Thank you! That's a great idea! 😀
Use a wider painters tape and a lil black binder clip to hold tape in place when you start.. Remove, once the tape is secured!
Works like a charm!
Thank you so much for the tip! A couple of other people have suggested using a clip. I was thinking painter's tape might work better too. 😀
Hi Angie. Great Halloween shirt. I need to make some spirals.
Hi!😀 Thank you so much!
Love this shirt! As i was watching you wrap the tape, i was thinking it would have stayed better if you wrapped the tape around multiple times. However, after seeing the finished shirt, i would recommend not using tape because it held too much of the dye, creating almost a “tape muck trap” resulting in the dark merging color that leads into the bottom of the shirt. Regardless, the finished design still looked good. I have watched many of your videos over the past year or so and you are extremely talented and an amazing teacher! Thank you for teaching me. ❤
Thank you! 😀 I'm glad you are enjoying the videos.
Love the Halloween 🎃 tie dye very cool
Thank you! 😀
Very fall and Halloweenie😁✌️
Thank you so much! 😀🎃
Love the shirt!!!
For the tape though, it might be easier to use a wide ribbon and tie it or safety pin it around the shirt.... that tape method looked so frustrating, even if it worked better than rubber bands.
If you have trouble with anything holding onto too much dye, I think a long strip of window screen would work too. If you don't have any, I bet somebody you know does.
Thank you! That's a great suggestion. 😀
I really LOVE this shirt though!!!!!!
Thank you so much! 😀
Fun! ✌️❤️🧊🎨🌎🌈
Thank you! 😀
I clip the tape to a part of the shirt then remove clip after tape is all the way around. And I remove splatter guard before attaching tape.
That's a great idea! 😀
Me too! I came here to say the same 😆
@@pantalones Thank you, I'm going to give that a try! 😀
Well done!
Thank you so much! 😀 It happens to all of us.
Your spirals looks amazing and you make it look so effortless! Well, except for the tape issue! I'm going to try blue painters tape. But...my question for you is do you press down on splatter guard when twisting spiral?
I'm determined to get better at spirals!
Thank you! 😀 No, I don't really push down while I'm spiraling the shirt. I did kind of push down when I was trying to wrap it with tape though.
Perhaps painter’s tape would work better or I use Velcro tape for gardening and it might hold better? I think I’ll try it plus you could easily rinse and reuse.
Those are both great suggestions! 😀
Instead of tape, try kite string. Tape may not like sticking to treated shirt. Or wrap tape around so tape sticks to tape.
That's a good suggestion. I use kite string for a lot of folds, and I've used it on spirals before too. I am hoping I can get the tape to work though where I don't have any string or rubber bands on the top of the shirt when I'm applying the dye.
Looks cool!
Thank you! 😊
Try using a clip for one end of the tape, that's what I do.😊
Thank you for the suggestion, I've had several other people say that too. I'm going to give that a try. 😀
What about painters tape?!
I was thinking painter's tape too, and someone else suggested it as well. I'm going to give that a try next along with using a clip to clip it to the shirt. 😀
