It boggles me that some people are so self-centered and and lacking in empathy that they missed the whole point of their initial dilemma and put themselves on equal footing. Pardon the bad pun...

THIS made my day guys! Hats off to the city for changing this so quickly once brought to their attention and to you for having the gumption to talk about it on this platform. Kick ass!

Well look at you guys out here changing the world! I love that! It's so rare to get a win in life these days so it's amazing that you were able to get an accessible parking problem fixed! Kudos to the subscriber too! It's raining cats and dogs with thunder and lightening today so it made me smile to know someone got a huge win today.

Congratulations on the win!! Don't ever feel like a "Karen" for standing up for what's right. I will ALWAYS "go to the manager" when there is a problem. I don't want anyone being mistreated or having a bad experience. I also compliment when needed. That's just as important as complaints.
Another example of misuse of “Karen”. The infamous, racist person, turning in a birdwatcher, is a far cry from anything here. That being said, it’s important to point out places that need accessibility improvement. I’m glad your described actions are positive. 🙂
That is so cool that your ticket was cleared and the city listened to the viewer and you! Thank you also, for sharing about your strength Shane, it's great that you are on a good medication that isn't traumatizing! Thank you Shane and Hannah for sharing you journey :)
I must have been watching these two for quite a while because I remember Shane receiving those spinal injections. It was brutal and I'm glad they've been replaced with a pill.
I am THRILLED!!!!!!!!!!!! As for the subscriber, or viewer, who took the initiative to write the council member, and Hannah and Shane, THANK YOU!!! Even though I have more flexibility at this time, I am certain a day will come that I won't, and I know there are many others who don't have it now. You two have made a huge impact, again, and for that I am grateful. With admiration, and love, and big bear hugs, Happy Wednesday 😊
This video has made my day! I'm disabled and use a wheelchair and therefore also need to use accessible parking. I'm happy that Hannah is doing her part to make it easier for people like me to park without having to worry about repercussions 😊.
I was off work last week for Spring Break. I started reading Strangers Assume my Girlfriend is my Nurse. I couldn't put it down!! Next thing I know, that book is done and I am picking up Laughing at my Nightmare. I love them both so much! I finished both books last week and wanted more!! Thank you both for all you do! You have taught me so much!
Great news!! I love how you guys use your platform for good and are trying to make positive changes for accessibility. Not all influencers use their platform for good
I literally cried at the end of the video. Literal tears. What an amazing outcome.. because of you guys, you are now going to save so many handicapped people so much un-necessary stress and inconvenience. I am so happy you stood up for what is right! What a huge impact you have made… Congratulations!
Way to go! Shane and Hannah, fixing our world. We all need to be more proactive. As a former caregiver, I have encountered a lot of things that I never would have noticed before. I remember struggling just to get a wheelchair into a store or restaurant or movie theater. Sometimes people just stood there and watched me struggle rather than just holding a door or something. People need to help other people.
That is such a great ending to the parking ticket situation, and I am so glad you aired that, and someone picked up on it and got the ball rolling to getting the problem resolved. Not just for you, but for everyone in the area. Good job!
Thank you so much. Your advocacy for the disabled community is greatly appreciated. It may seem like a small thing to so many but inaccessibility of even a parking configuration can be a MAJOR difficulty for the person needing assistance. For instance, my daughter was unable to use a handicapped space to lower her ramp because someone selfishly parked on top of the yellow lines next to the space that was intended for ramp usage.
I hope you know that you are an ABSOLUTE warrior and stud. Your positivity and sense of humor through everything you have gone through and can’t do, that able bodied people take for granted is so humbling. You two are WORLD CHANGERS for Goodness, Joy and Strength of character and I Appreciate you and your beautiful and selfless bride SO MUCH.
Shane, it is so great to hear news of your strength, changes, etc. But also the journey. I feel it is so important to learn about specifics of others and you both are so willing to let us in on your life. It is so helpful...not sure how to explain why so much. I think it gives hope to any of us who have disabilities that science can come up with something to help. How great is that. It is so great! Congrats to you both...somewhere in here, Hannah referred to you both as 'we' when it had to do with you...because you are really 'one' with each other. Lovely.
So glad your podcast was recommended to me. I love your sense of humour and the way you interact. It's awesome when you can tell the podcast hosts are genuinely enjoying each other's company! It's a crazy world out there and things like this bring a bit of light to many people, including myself.
To say that you two are awesome is just not enough. ❤ I absolutely loved this episode. I enjoy learning about Shane’s journey and how he has changed physically. I think he looks taller too! I am glad you were able to be a part, main part, of the parking changes! ❤❤
it's amazing that you guys are helping not only each other, but helping other disabled people with these dangerous and frustrating inconveniences. it's so nice that this and the airport situation has made such an impact and can hopefully spread even further. you guys are awesome i love you both so much
You go! Congratulations on making a difference! Love your channel! So informative and entertaining at the same time. Keep doing the good work! Big fan from Northern Maine.
kudos to the viewer that hooked you up with the people that could change this !! this is a perfect example of "crowd sourcing"! if you didn't have a channel, and hadn't shared your frustration about this, the viewer who could take it to the next level would never have known about it, and hopefully this change will extend beyond West Hollywood!
My husband started getting grey hair in his 20’s & at 35 it’s doubling quickly but neither of us cares & you just get used to it lol. And you’re right about all those people commenting about your parking situation - they have never been to LA! Regular parking spots or street parking is hell as it is, so I can’t even imagine the handicap spots. So glad you guys were able to make a difference.
I am blessed to have seen a short on Facebook so that I could discover you. Bravo!!! And while those negative comments are awful and annoying, that person was watching you and if they keep watching, they will start to have their eyes opened!
Yay! Glad to hear a City Council person is on top of things! Kudos to whoever reached out to them👍 maybe this is the way forward. They didn’t know, what they didn’t know.. regarding Hannah accidentally “flashing “ the mail man.. you probably made his week😁 love you guys!
I have a mom that has MS and is in a wheelchair 🦽 all the time . Thank you for caring to do something about this . I appreciate y’all pushing to do something to get this changed . ❤🎉
Thanks so much for sharing your frustration over the comments from the other video! I admit that I had the same thoughts of ‘why not let him out and then turn car around’ so I am happy you addressed those. You are totally right you shouldn’t *have* to do that - accessibility should be built-in to the point those who need accessible access aren’t treated differently. I’m sorry that I doubted that you had considered the possibility and had a good reason for not doing so, please forgive me. As someone who is partially both physically and mentally disabled, I myself enjoy many accessible features that are present for others who need them more. I have been trying to be an advocate for disability in my workplace and with applications that we use (I work remotely in IT), and I love learning more from your videos. Thanks so much for keeping them up and for putting up with those of us who do not understand. 🙏
Thank you so much for the medical update as I have certainly noticed how much stronger you are now than your earlier videos. And congratulations on making a statement that has made a huge difference in the disabled parking situation, kudos to all involved. Love you guys and so enjoy your videos.
I’m so excited that there were changes made once the problem was identified! I hope this video is shared in areas where similar signage might be in use! From West Hollywood to the rest of the nation! Perhaps a law preventing those restrictions in accessibility parking spaces! Shane’s Law! Congratulations!
as someone who lives in a place where licenses are required on the front and back of the vehicle, the parking logic bamboozled me until realizing there was only one plate! 🤣 this is such a big win!!! so proud to be apart of a little community that is making positive change
I'm so proud of you two for facilitating change. It's so awesome to know that what you're doing is making a difference, even in a community you don't even live in.
Congratulations on pointing out this issue and helping to bring necessary changes. Keep bringing these issues to peoples awareness. I absolutely love your program, thanks!
Yayyyy! What fantastic news! Shane and Hannah, you beautiful powerful people you, you are doing such important service through your channel! Changing the world one TSA pre-check office and one parking space at a time! Congratulations on the latest victory! And congratulations to the City of WeHo for stepping up and making your city more welcoming and inclusive for everyone! This episode shows that people want to do the right thing. We all just need friends who help point us to the right thing we should do. Bravo everyone! 🎉 🎊🌟👏👏🌟🎊🎉
This is a big win for people using w/c vans. I am disabled but do not use a w/c. I have had times when I was oxygen dependent and getting equipment in/out is messy, and that's just tanks. You have a very heavy chair to manoeuver and that is so much harder, not to mention the idea of trying to enter or leave a vehicle in a small lot or into oncoming traffic. I am also grateful to the unnamed viewer who took the time to write to the city council. If I knew the name, I'd be the first in line to write a thank you( after you two). ❤🧡💚💙💜
I remember growing up as kids my mother was in a wheel chair most of her life Back in the 80’s. There was no where in town for handicapped people to park. We would have to park a block away and push mom up to the entrance And as I have seen signs today that shows where to park for handicapped people is really great to know that someone like you , Took time to make a big deal out why the city’s do not have more parking spots up close to the entrance. Think you both for the out reach of bringing the public Awareness
I'm glad the city acknowledged this as a problem. They could either make more handicapped parking or allow rear faced parking. They wouldn't make more handicapped parking bc that reduces the capacity of each lot and in a place where there's already limited parking the logical thing and most cost efficient to the city is simply take the signs down. Wow! I'm so impressed by you guys and all the changes y'all make in this world. With the platform you guys share it's amazing the amount of people you reach and help each video. Don't ever let anyone tell you it's just youtube. I know the comments can be rude or worse but remember it's probably a 12 year old boy or someone who is miserable and only feels good behind the keyboard being mean and finding something to be offended by🙄 I love your videos and love you guys! As always great job using your voices in a respectful way!! ✌❤🙏
Activism working at it's best!!! Thanks to the one person that got this ball rolling in the right direction and for the city to wanting to learn and understand the hardship this was on so many handicapped people in chairs. Blessings!
Shane's hair looks great. Hannah, you did a wonderful job. Shane really does look much stronger from the first videos. It is so awesome that the parking situation has been changed in West Hollywood. Glad your ticket was waived as well.
Wah-hoo! West Hollywood Councilwoman! Thank you for caring! Thank you, viewer who emailed! Thank you, Hannah and Shane, not only for the update, but for being willing to put the issue out there in the first place!
It's funny, one of the first things I noticed at the beginning of the video was that Shane had a great new hair cut ... and then I found out you, Hannah, did it! Well done!
Shane. I will say it again and again and again. You are one of the most encouraging and positive people on the planet. And I love you with all my heart.
Thank you so much for clarifying the parking situation. I learned so much about the challenges people with disabilities might face in these situations. I’m so glad this situation led to great positive change for people with disabilities! Congratulations! A win for everyone.
Some family friends of ours, the women typically gray a lot sooner then most. mid to late 20's. My family tends to start aging mid 40's to mid 50's. my mom finally started going gray in her mid to late 50's. She still has a little bit of darker hair under it though.
Celebrate your grays, you earned them! Especially since in the first ever video I saw about you before the new drugs, you were preparing to "expire"! If it's any consolation, I had lots of gray hairs in my teens and expected to become prematurely gray by my 40's, which was fine, but I'm past 70 now and though I have quite a few more, my hair is still predominantly brown, just much thinner. Genetic "male pattern baldness" affects plenty of females too!
In Texas, we can park forwards/backwards. In Denton, Texas, I sit on the Denton Committee for Persons with Disabilities as chair. We firmly advocate for accessible parking at all public facilities. We discuss zoning options with public planning. Denton/Dallas are in the top 10 most accessible cities in Texas. I sometimes ride my scooter around Denton. I love it!
Amazing update on the parking issue! So glad they have removed the signs and will now make it easier for everyone who needs the accessibility parking! Cheers to that! 🥂
That's great !!! To the person who send the email : we need more people like you. You are a star. Many thanks for being that great . Thank you for what you did.
Well, I totally understand how difficult it's to go through parking garages not being disabled unlike having a Diasbility. I also know being on Social media you are going to get other views and they are not going to be nice. People are entitled to their opinions even though it may not be great to hear so I can only speak for myself. I respect you guys bringing it up and standing up for what you believe in. I am like that. I'm glad something came of it.... you GO YOU TWO!!!!!
Thank you for sharing there's nothing like not having a decent parking spot! Big thanks to the viewer for taking the initiative to help make life more accessible for those of us who need it.
Been watching this channel for years and still love it ! ! ! I found Shane and Hannah from their interview with SBSK, and have been a fan ever since...
Awesome! I am glad those West Hollywood parking officials were informed and made a positive change. I do think it was an oversight that they didn't think about assessible ramps being on either side of a vehicle. Thank you for being articulate in your video and thank you to the person who was be able to give it to someone who knew the appropriate person to pass it along to in order to get it rectified.
I have watched a handful of your videos so far (and I just subscribed, so I will be watching them all! 🙂), and I find you to be such an enchanting couple! Humor and team work are two of the most important qualities in a relationship, and you definitely demonstrate that. I have heard you mention the negative comments that people leave about you, but I am so happy to see so many warm and generous comments because you deserve it. ❤
I was one of the ignoramuses who wondered why you couldn’t just turn the car around, picturing a huge, wide open, echo-y, cavernous, deserted parking garage with no other cars or people around. Believe it or not, I have a reasonably high IQ. So thank you for explaining and giving a little grace to people who, having our own unique set of concerns, find that some things just never occur to us. Your channel has been a real eye opener in that regard. Clearly I’m not quite “there” yet.
I’m glad that the parking rules were changed and they canceled your ticket! whenever I complain about accessibility I also think of others not just myself! This will help so many! 💜♿️
I’m so glad that they’ve come up with an oral option because the injections over and over sound horrible to have to keep going through. Kudos to that person and their email! Thank you for your advocacy. I love hearing this. And thank you both for sharing your stories that ended up helping so many others.
Thanks for educating those of us without physical disabilities, even though it means you will be dealing with smh on here. It sounds like a sacrifice to put yourself out there, so I'm glad whenever you and the disabled community experience a concrete victory from your videos. ❤
I love you guys, and can’t believe some comments are so ugly. They obviously need to see love, since they feel the need to lash out at innocent people sharing their lives with strangers. You’re both so awesome.
Not an MS patient but a fellow wheelchair warrior. Luckily I can stand and transfer. But since using a WC I was never previously aware of the inaccessibility in some areas. I have compression fractures from breast cancer which metastasized to the bone. Thanks for changing the world one town’s handicapped parking spots at a time.
You always rate 5 stars from me 🙂. I totally understood what you were talking about when you did the original video. Our friend who was 80 years old at the time once had to unload his wife's wheelchair and then get her out of the car in the middle of a busy aisle of the parking lot. It was DANGEROUS! If you ever look at some handicap parking spots the extra room may be on the left or the right not both sides. There are people that can only get out of their assessible vehicle from one side safely.
I live in Orange County, Ca- near Disneyland - anyway, it's so hard for me to go to LA because we'd have to find a pri ate lot to park because street parking doesn't work when you have to transfer. I just cried when I heard we can park both ways now. Even small things like this can make a big difference. I really hope this parking will be broadened to include more of LA. Start writing to council members. (I will do my best!). I seriously have tears coming down my face because we need a win. Especially when it comes to something like being able to park safely and enter an establishment without fear of being run over or being in the middle of the road and having to find a curb cut. It's so terrifying. Also, LA traffic makes people mad so anyway, yall are troopers. Thank you so much to the one who wrote the councilwoman and I really hope we can help this catch on. The embarrassing story. Hannah, I've been there before too. Haha
I am a former haircutter and always thought you did a good job for an untrained cutter. This cut is quite impressive...the video did you a solid. Good job. The front yard guy was prolly grateful as hell for the morning show! LOL I am so glad the oral treatment is working so well. I always worried about the injections...many risks with that kind of thing. And I have noticed that Hannah doesnt seem to have to hold Shane's head up as much as she used to. RE: THE BIG REVEAL: That is so awesome. Accessible parking should be accessible to ALL who need it, not for the convenience of the able-bodied cops. KUDOS to you and the one who wrote to the councilwoman!
I’m so happy that the parking rules are being changed! Ignore the haters, you are quite literally changing the world for the better. Also I can’t believe that the only reason for the rule was for ease of a few employees’ route to check the spots. Reminds me of the phrase that goes something like “nothing for us without us” meaning always consult a person who will actually be affected by any rules/laws you put in place.
I appreciate and honor your advocacy work. Much like your friends Cole & Charisma, you're doing so much to make the rest of us aware of issues of accessibility and just how strong and independent people can be.
HELLL YEAHHHH that was the best update!!!! I’m so happy to hear that. This is huge & im glad you guys saw those stupid ass comments and addressed them.
We were walking into a home improvement store, and my son commented that a van was parked crooked. I looked and realized the "accessible parking" sign was on a pole set in a concrete block, and would have blocked the van's back exit if they parked "correctly". They had to back-in in order to exit the van safely but if they went in straight, they couldn't actually load their van because the sign was in the way! Thanks to your video, I totally understand their "bad" park job. It was a teachable moment for my son to not judge others without knowing the whole story, and how people with disabilities have to adapt.
I started going Grey @ 15 & by 17 I had to dye it regularly b/c there was so much. @ 50 I still dye it but I really love my grey. It comes in like silver/ white. Some day I'll grow it out & embrace it fully
36:19 thank you SO much for this! Every single change that makes the world more accessible is a huge help to our community, and usually helps the local economy and other things become better too! If I could buy things from a nearby town instead of having to buy online because I am not able to travel there, then the town is missing out on a few dollars. But if hundreds of people cannot travel or don’t have time to be fussing around with their vehicles etc. then not only is a town missing out on business, it also stops disabled people being part of society, which impacts disabled people AND makes ableism more likely to happen because there will be less visible wheelchairs/walking aids/assistance dogs/white sticks/etc etc. which means there will be fewer thoughts about access, because if nobody coming to an area is disabled then why bother to see if it’s accessible? And it also means kids won’t see us regularly and won’t appreciate that we are just as “normal” as anyone else, so they miss out on healthy social interactions, and it spirals this vicious cycle because if an area feels unsafe or is known in disabled communities as inaccessible, then more and more disabled people will avoid it for the safe of their safety/confidence/ability to get around there etc. The more we open up the world, the better the world becomes for everyone. Because kids grow up seeing a variety of regular humans, they are more thoughtful when they are planning stuff, because they grow in to thoughtful accepting adults they become better at remembering to make their businesses, homes, or even political area more accessible and they will be more likely to listen when things like this get overlooked. Because everyone sees visibly disabled people more, it isn’t a big deal, it’s just normal, so people don’t stare or say rude things as often, and crimes against disabled people are lower, which makes an area safer for everyone, so more disabled people feel able to access it, and everyone feels more comfortable being polite helpful and welcoming. On top of that, businesses get more people coming in, and people become more loyal to areas and businesses that they are familiar with, which in turn makes everyone better off: disabled people don’t have to pay extra for shipping or have to guess sizes etc. and businesses that aren’t online or struggle with online competition can work better face to face. And while younger disabled people are likely to be in poverty or at least not wealthy, many of the elderly folks who live long enough to experience joint issues, fatigue etc. will have different financial conditions, with a higher percentage being able to spend more in some societies. It just makes no financial, emotional, legal, logical or moral sense to needlessly reduce access to an area. Sure, being a popular tourist area, I’m sure there are different economic circumstances. But that doesn’t mean that it’s guaranteed to be super popular forever. A healthy community does things that increase and maintain their popularity.
I am a disabled driver who doesn’t usually have anyone with me. Thank you for acknowledging that people like me exist. You are so sweet to be there with us I really love your smile I hope you’re doing good I hope 😢w 23:37

Not all heroes wear capes! You guys are making big changes in the world and I love watching it!
yall relationship is so refreshing! no toxicity or jealousy 🙌🙌 SUCH GOALS
You too, are so dear. Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives.
Lovely.
How amazing!!! Big kuddos to the viewer who reached out. Huge win👏🏻
Yeah for your viewer sending the email to authority and actually getting a positive response! Way to go guys! ❤
I absolutely loved this episode. I enjoy learning about Shane’s journey and how he has changed physically. I think he looks taller too!
I am glad you were able to be a part, main part, of the parking changes!
❤❤
it's amazing that you guys are helping not only each other, but helping other disabled people with these dangerous and frustrating inconveniences. it's so nice that this and the airport situation has made such an impact and can hopefully spread even further. you guys are awesome i love you both so much
So glad you got things straightened out with that parking situation and the one viewer helped take it to the next level 😊
You go! Congratulations on making a difference! Love your channel! So informative and entertaining at the same time. Keep doing the good work! Big fan from Northern Maine.
Thanks for the lesson in the difficulties in parking for vans with a ramp.
kudos to the viewer that hooked you up with the people that could change this !! this is a perfect example of "crowd sourcing"! if you didn't have a channel, and hadn't shared your frustration about this, the viewer who could take it to the next level would never have known about it, and hopefully this change will extend beyond West Hollywood!
Yay !!! Congratulations....that is a hugh accomplishment . That was very kind of her to have all the signs removed from ALL the lots..Love u guys !!
Kudos to the viewer who contacted WH Parking!! You made a change. Also, good to learn how to do something about a situation. Thanks for the update.
Such good news. I just kept thinking about the ticket. I realize it was only $60, big deal. But the awareness you raised is fantastic. Congratulations
Activism working at it's best!!! Thanks to the one person that got this ball rolling in the right direction and for the city to wanting to learn and understand the hardship this was on so many handicapped people in chairs. Blessings!
Way to go you guys! From the TSA situation to this one… you’re really making a difference!
First the tsa precheck and now this! I’m so excited to see how things are improving because you guys are speaking up.
your speech is much easier to understand Shane so happy for you
Shane's hair looks great.
My husband’s kids both went gray in their twenties. My husband has totally white hair now. I have about 20 gray hairs and I’m 65.
Some family friends of ours, the women typically gray a lot sooner then most. mid to late 20's. My family tends to start aging mid 40's to mid 50's. my mom finally started going gray in her mid to late 50's. She still has a little bit of darker hair under it though.
Are your pubes gray? My pubes went gray in my teens. It made for awkward back seat encounters for sure!
First viewer. U give me lot's of motivation and courage to live life by my own way
As I am also a disabled girl ❤❤😊
Sooo awesome about the parking spot!!! Hooray to the person who wrote to the councilwoman! This is how we change the world! I got goosebumps!!
Hi Hannah and Shane ~ I love listening to you two. Funny story when you stepped out to let Chloe out ~ Oops! Never a dull moment with you two!
I noticed them SBSK too and have been following them too.
Shane's hair does look great! Love your humour. Thanks for the smiles.
Go team! Great job to everyone who was involved in changing the parking situation in West Hollywood! ❤🎉
So glad for the positive outcome from your west Hollywood adventure. Keep advocating!!
LOL
I am so glad the oral treatment is working so well.
Lol I literally threw my arms up and exclaimed “woo!!” When you said the inaccessible parking spots had been fixed.
I have MS and I have found (and 30 years private practice as a Psychologist) that everyone must be their own best advocate, you-go guys!
Love you guys! Your videos always brighten my day. That was a stupid law. Great that you were able to initiate a change.
It’s a junk yard out there…..Thank you to everyone who fights for the rights of the disabled community. 👏🏻💕❤️
I appreciate how you both think and speak critically about topics around accessibility and also about any given situation!!
Excellent news! Well done viewer who emailed the councillor! 👏🏻 Well done both of you for making the video in the first place.
congratulations on the win!!! 🥳 that’s why it is so important that you continue to share your story
You are changing the world with calm & grace, Thank You
I started going Grey @ 15 & by 17 I had to dye it regularly b/c there was so much.
I'm literally ugly crying in LA traffic both of you are amazing. Such a huge win for all and West Hollywood is awesome.
