You know what would be funny? Greedent with aeos cookie and resonance guard. If you thought he was annoying to take down already, then this build will just add a little more salt to opponent's wound.

The thing is, I actually tried this. I did leftovers, aeos cookie, and resonace guard on an hp emblem build and ended up soaking over 130k damage against a dragapult team. It doesn't do a lot of damage but you can really get annoying with the things you can live through.
I tried this on a double stacking build (swapped out the old Score Shield for Resonant Guard) and got some decent results.
Yeah I think R. Guard will work best on high regeneration, high HP Pokemon-----as you can get huge value regenerating for free while the shield tanks damage for you.

I've been enjoying the Resonant Guard on some of the Tankier all-rounders, especially Tsareena, because the shields stack with Queenly Majesty and the substain is insane when paired with a Defender or Supporter also using it

Dang congrats on the baby boy, babies are a whole lot of fun once a few months pass and they learn to do more things than simply eat and sleep lol.
Resonant Guard isn't like Charging Charm where the value of the item is pretty easy to figure out, but i feel like running Resonant Guard is for Pokemon who either have lots of Max HP or who don't have a good 3rd item like Sableye.
They need to increase the defenses given by items by 50% so they can actually be useful.
FB: 45 Def & SpDef
RH: 75Def
AV: 75SpDef.
They also need to reduce the out of combat by 1 sec.

Interesting that you used Buddy Barrier. I'd think Focus Band would be better but I'd have to try this build out too.
Band got nerfed along side the anti healing item. Not worth
I think I’m going to be running a lot of aeos cookie, guard, and curse item on defenders now, make them silly to take down, and do a lot passively for the team

I’ve been liking Lapras with resonant guard since you have so much HP early on and late into the game, plus you’re always fighting enemies so it constantly procs. With spoon and either exp share for support, special specs for damage, or focus band for sustain it can be really good

I ran some Resonant Guard Scizor last night and it felt pretty good! Having some of that extra shielding before level 11 is amazing! And after level 11 is still pretty good cause it stacks with Bullet Punch!

Comfey is very strong with guard.
Base attach shield is 15% of Comfey's HP.
Guard is 100 + 6% max hp, and easy to proc with magic leaf (though grass knot is way better).
Running exp share, buddy, guard (all at 30) you get a massive amount of extra hp and i run +500 hp on Emblems too (6 w and some pink). Comfey doesn't have the best scaling so I'm okay with losing out on sp.atk for this.
All this extra hp gives the rotating base shield of comfey and guard MUCH higher values, preventing way more damage and making comfey harder to ko when doing rotations.
I'm thinking Resonant Guard can replace Focus Band-- Focus Band is probably still better for keeping us alive (especially early on, with that flat +30 DEF/SP.DEF), but Resonant Guard would probably help more often. Although one can always use both for a super tank build...
Always look forward to trying out your builds, Goodra for me with Res Guard/ Aeos Cookie has just been too good. Still I need to try this out!

Umbreon is definitely one of my favourite mons to play inside unite, it has so many possible combinations of items and moves, and all of them are so satisfying to play. Not to mention is one of the few that can run leftovers with good results... Love it!

@@ringcil Well I am not a champion, but I can give you some tips that I think are useful to play any defender: you should support your team, if they are in danger (maybe a squishy charcter) you should try to stun the enemy that is attacking or tank the damage for them, and in teamfights you should do the same, stun enemies and try to frontline so that your attackers can deal massive damage. For Umbreon specifically, you should be aware of when to use your unite move: right after an enemy use its unite move, in order to steal its shield (especially if it's a defender, 'cause they get big shields from unite moves), or if your team is pushing eleki, in order to take the shields granted by goal zones. I think that's pretty much everything I can tell you, but I'm sure that if you watch some of spragels videos about defenders you'll learn even more, they were very useful to me ;)

@@ringcil Well it's a defender, and in general defenders and supporters are meant to tank, not to deal damage. Obviously every mon should fight hard, but you are not supposed to deal 150k damage every fight like a Mewtwo Y

I brought it to 30..and put it on clefable and seeing amazing success. Useing buddy barrier/Guard/and A Cookie. Taking Moonlight and/ Follow me...its grossly tanky with so many stacking shields. Never felt so Imortal before.
@spragles please try aegislash with resonance, buddy, energy Amp. With sacred sword and wide guard you can enter the fight with sacred, use wide to get shield then ult to get shield from buddy then boost through the team.

Mamoswine with resonant guard, focus sash, and buddy barrier/exp share is unkillable esp in early game.

I go focus over buddy, but I’ve enjoyed it with Tree and Umbreon the most.
This is close to what I run with umbreon and it’s so strong! Focus band in place of guard. I’ll have to try it.
Congrats on the upcoming baby boy. Pull out game weak haha. Remember to get lots of naps in whenever you can because you’ll be joining the no sleep gang again. Currently working on getting a better sleep schedule with my 9 month old boy and 9 year old girl. Always up by 5am and always getting home from work by midnight.

Eldegoss with cotton guard and resonance guard is pretty fun , you can make your team super tanky
In my experience, resonance guard pairs better with spore. Eldegoss has so many viable picks for items, it is getting hard to choose!
