Mascarpone Cheese: 2 1/2 cups heavy cream and 2 & 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice.
Thank ya
I can't wait to try this!! Thank you for sharing, Gemma :) where I live mascarpone is an expensive imported product but cream isn't that pricey so this is excellent... I'm kind of surprised there's no salt at all in this recipe though, as the store-bought versions have a sodium content - I guess just something they've added as a preservative?
you are the best Gemma ❤ I love you and your recipe so much.. simply the best ❤❤❤❤
Wow......made it so easy by explaining so well.....😍loved it
Wow I'm early today! 🙈💖 I've been watching your videos since years ago. Omg your recipes are just the best! Thank you, Gemma. 💖🎀💋
Thank you for being here!
Hi Gemma I really appreciate this recipe. Mascarpone cheese is very expensive here in Canada. And I love that this is homemade - much better. You rock Gemma!
always so much information, so generously imparted! and so simply and clearly! thank you!
I hope you enjoy!
How wonderful, this is very helpful Gemma thank you very much ❤️
This was a fun one, Angie. I hope you're doing great. :)
I’ve tried this and really the result was excellent! I just cooked my cream after adding the lemon juice a little more so my ricotta was a little bit more firm than it is supposed to be, so take care while cooking it.I used Amul’s low fat cream which is available in India.
Vatsal Narang the recipe is about mascarpone I was wondering why u have mentioned about ricotta cheese here?
i am going to use flexi delight 20% fat cream let see what results come
@@shrutigupta4317 please do share how your cheese turned out... I also want to try making this...
@@moib5678 definetly ll try soon nd update you here ...
How much quantity does this yield?
So simple and easy! Thank you for sharing! I use it for tiramisu, top it on sourdough bread, or even have it with scrambled eggs. It goes with anything and it's so good. Lemon juice elevates the taste
Well done to you! Delighted you got on well with this.
Hey Gemma..thanks for coming up with this recipe..cant wait to see it.
Thanks you are truly full of wonderful ideas ❤️
Salam, this is very nice channel and you have lot great yummy things. I tried your Mascarpone Cheese recipe and done it perfectly. Here I would like to add one thing which I learnt yesterday; the Why of Mascarpone cheese is very useful. I put the Why in the pan and cooked it on slow medium heat around 10 to 20 minutes and after that I got a very taste Desi Ghee. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing this.
OMG this is so awesome. My nearby store sells whipping cream in a carton and i always end up with so much leftover :( now I know what to use it for!
So a cream could be a whipping cream right i thought it might be different , did u try the recipe ?if u did, how did it go??
This type of recipes is why I love this channel so much
Yesss...i made it...followed ur recipe and got the perfect result..thanks Gemma...mascarporne at home...unbelievable😉😉😉
Thank you! My local grocery store was sold out of this and I needed some for a tiramisu cupcake recipe. Worked beautifully! I don't think I'll ever spend $9 for a tiny tub in store again!
I'm delighted to hear that! Thank you for sharing.
Yeeppeee... Finally!!
The Turning Point Cafes here in New Jersey serve this with their French Toast. They have got me hooked on Mascarpone. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Gemma, this is really helpful.. 😘
You are always perfect 👍🏻Good luck💐
Aw, thanks for your support!
Hallo Gemma, I'm italian and so I know mascarpone very well. So I can tell you that, while cream cheese (like Philadelphia, for istance) often has a strong, sour taste, mascarpone is pretty sweet and it's highly fat. In fact, I don't like desserts made up of cream cheese (and I always ask for a substitute in my cheesecakes!): I prefer mascarpone because of its natural sweetness and smoothness. Ciao.
Grazie, Marianna. Good tips. I prefer Mascarpone as well. It's SO good! :)
Love it, thank you.
Very yummy.....your way of explaining is awesome 😍👍
Mascarpone cheese is not avaliable in my country..And I was eagarly waiting for a recipe so that I can try out recipes..Thank you so much gemma for your bold basics series.

I have always been your admirer. But this bigger bolder basic certainly bowled me away. Finding mascarpone isn't really easy here. Glad that I don't have to think about substitutes anymore.

Hello Gemma. I love all your videos they are completely wonderful. I was wondering if you can do a video on how to make heavy cream. I can't seem to find a great recipe for it when I don't have access to it.

Omg thanks gemma! Mascarpone cheese is super expensive in my country here in malaysia. The price is like double the price of the cream. Im so gonna do this when I'm making my cheesecake soon! 😘

This is much easier than I'd imagined. I struggle to get organic free range mascarpone cheese but I can get free range cream and milk easily enough so I shall be making my own from now on. Thank you, this is much appreciated 🙏

Thanks for this Gemma. Mascarpone isn't readily available where I live so I'm so happy when I watched this video. I can finally try your tiramisu recipe soon.
Hope you like it, Majo!
i like how u say mascarpone. alot of chefs/cooks like to say it with a sort of Italian flair like they grew u there.
Lovely and yummy.,....so easy to make at home...looking for such simple receipes...thank you Gemma
My pleasure 😊
I followed someone else’s recipe earlier in the week.
500ml cream with 11g of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
I didn’t even simmer until it stuck to the spoon, didn’t even put it away the first night just left it in the pan and when I decided to put it in a sieve overnight in the fridge I used a piece of kitchen roll instead of a tea towel or cheesecloth.
End result, super thick but workable marscapone...I crushed a few (6 or 7) McVities HobNob biscuits up with a rolling pin, melted two to three tablespoons of butter and mixed it together for the easy base of a basic cheesecake.
I LOOOOOOVVVEEE baking basics ❤🙌
Happy to hear it, Lilly!
This is great quick to watch and informative. Wish other people would get to the point like you do.
Thanks for sharing, Jacqueline.
