Thanks for the heads up guys! I can see the difference now! These are more structured so they’d be considered a “spring twist” so I’ve updated the title! All three of these twists def share a similar method but the end result IS important! I’ll try to get a more laid back “loose and skinny” passion twist next time! And I think I’ll make em longer for the full effect! 🤔🤔☺️😘😘❤️❤️
They look bomb! The only difference is the type of hair you use. Spring twist crochet hair is tighter than the curl pattern of the passion twist hair. I haven’t even got to the video yet I’m excited to see ur process. The technique is the same, folks are being super critical....🗣 y’all know what she meant! 😂
Funny enough! I was thinking to do this one but in colour 1b. After your video, gonna try this colour 😊 I used spring twist hair before and I love this type of hair.
Can you do a tutorial how to wash that particular hair? I’m afraid cleaning it that it will mess up the curl pattern but I’m so allergic to that white residue they spray it with. Thanks.
As she said, "passion twists, large kinky twists; whatever you wanna call them." Y'all act like she called it "Installing A Lacefront" or something 🤷🏾♀️.
You’re so thorough and detailed and so GENEROUS in helping us in the natural hair community to grow and help our hair THRIVE!! Can’t tell you how much I appreciate your dedication to helping us and the money you’ve saved me HONEY 😩😂💁🏾♀️ xoxo Also, we like to part our hair on the same side so we are practically cousins
Hi Guys!! Today I'm sharing my SUPER SIMPLE Passion Twist Tutorial!! Who remembers Kinky Twists!? This is LITERALLY the same thing, but bigger and with springy synthetic hair, BRUH! 🤣🤣 Anyway, if you like SIMPLE Protective Styles, you're going to love this! I linked the hair I used in the description box!! I hope it helps!! XOXO!! ❤️❤️❤️
You must have read my mind because I’m about to install these twists next week and I was REALLY hoping you’d have a video on them. Literally the most perfect timing !
this was the most well explained video. easy simple str8 to the point. did both my girls hair today and they love it. first 2 squares i was really concentrating, after that we were watching tv and laughing and i was twisting like a pro, didnt even realize we were almost done. thank u.
Just want to say a simple thank you. You have helped me to embrace my texture as a 4 curl type and to have fun with my hair. You are always a ball of sunshine. Very inspiring.
This is the best tutorial I have seen. Just what I needed. This will be my first time doing my hair myself and I know I can do it myself after watching this. Very easy and informative. Thank you queen.
Kimberly Olodun YES!! I’m like wait a minute!! These are just kinky twists!! 🤣🤣🤣💯💯💯 And thank you!! I was actually really liking the red! I’ll have to play with color again it was fun! Thanks so much for watching!! 😘😘❤️❤️❤️
Did my twists using this method for the first time and I am so happy with the results. My hair is pretty long and I never felt like I was getting good protective coverage before, but this is perfect for me. Thank you!
I love this!!!! I most definitely will try this technique. Its simple and I love how you showed that you washed the hair before installing. That was always my issue with adding any type of hair to my head. It would irritate my hair so bad I couldn't wear the style for long
I love this tutorial! I was able to do my own twists extensions, which is something I've never done before, and it came out really well! This is a very forgiving, beginner-friendly style, and I love it. Because I have thinner hair, I prefer less hair per twist to create more overall volume. I actually only used about 1.5 packs of hair (because it's what I had on hand, and it was enough). Thank you!!
your videos always come in clutch I mean wanting to do this hairstyle for a while and you just gave me the motivation love you girl, ive been a long time subscriber
Yhooo thia woman... give real hair tips. I didnt know about the crocodile clip, alo juice water mix, conditioning the hair and locking in the moisture with some oil and last great tip washing the fake hair before using it...just like clothes❤ Love these tips...great channel, thank god i found it
YOU HAVE NO IDEA how much you are giving me life with this tut!!!! I have wanted to know how to do this with longer hair!!! AND HERE YOU ARE!!!! YOU LOOK ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS TUT!!! YOU'RE THE BEST!!
This video is so helpful! Thank you for breaking how to add hair extensions down for me. It seems so daunting and I have never tried but now I feel more supported if I ever do attempt my own extensions. Soul grateful for you Whit! 🥰
I just might do a video on following your method of doing this. I’be been looking for a tutorial on how to do this style. Your the best Wit. I have nothing but love for you and been watching you for years now. Stay blessed love
Washing the hair first, using the crocodile clip and braiding my hair in the beginning made this process SUPER easy and itch free!!! Thank you for the tips and tutorial. I used 1b 27 and I ❤️❤️it!
natalee3230 aw 😩😩😩 actually sectioning can be mad difficult! It helps if your hair is completely detangled and better yet, blown out! Bc getting a rat tail come through smoothly CAN be a challenge! 💯💯 Dont be hard on yourself!! You can do it!! Just a little practice and muscle memory and you got this! 💪🏾💪🏾❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for this video! You are an absolute pro at hair protection. I installed synthetic hair and it tore my real hair up. Now I know add a hair cream and oil beforehand. Thank you!
As always, a super presentation. Thank you. I really don't care for synthetic hair, so I shall continue my experiments with with colourful wools and yarn mixes. Wishing you a lovely evening . Oh, Yes, I shall be trying this method with some chunky blue yarn.

OMG! I think of that wood video everytime I think about how long I've been watching this channel. It def stuck out from the other channels i watched at the time.
I received my hair from Amazon and washing it now. It took 3 weeks to ship because of the delays but it was good timing. I will start my twists tomorrow and hopefully they will last through my last weeks of pregnancy. Thanks for the tips!
Hey there! I have some in my hair right now but I did the rubber band method because my grip game is horrible! You inspire me to try again without rubber bands!
Sheena Fulmore Ahh!! You should try it Sheena! Girl! It was AMAZING! I’m going to need to do another one soon bc life was NOICE! 🤣🤣💯💯💯💯 I hope you give it a go!! ❤️❤️
Semantics!!! Passion Twist, Spring Twist, Kinky Twist, so what? It's a beautiful protective style and that's why we follow Whitney! Let's focus sistren!
Cleaning the hair with vinegar and the tutorials on adding hair has been a game changer for me thanks! Covid 19 influenced me to finally learn over 40 years old finally doing more of my own styles. 😁😘
Your twists look great! How long should you keep these in and what is your daily/weekly routine to moisturize your hair while keeping this protective style?
Thank you so much. I think I actually learned how to braid now this was so easy to the point and I’m going to do some on myself and let you know how they came out❤❤
I truly truly appreciate how detailed and thorough you were with this. Us styling-challenged folk need to know every step! THANK YOU! For the future, could you please show tips for parting in the back and just parting patterns in general? Thank you!!!
Auntie Whitney! Please please please keep us updated about how long you've kept these in for and the upkeep. Another beautiful style finesse by the marvelous Naptural85 🤗
Thank YOU!! I’ve never understood how to do add-ins. This was so easy to follow!! I’m going to practice until I get it right then do my hair. With Covid, I don’t have anyone to do a add-in protective style. So thank you so much. This method makes sense, was easy to see and will work for me with my inflammatory arthritis. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! Stay safe.
LOL ... Seems like whenever I do braids, even the easiest spring/bomb twists, it takes me 6-8 hours minimum on a weekend. If you start in the back and make it to the middle, you can wear a scarf and finish the next day.
Lmaoo I got mine done professionally. It took 8 hours and came out beautiful but those things did not last! When my natural hair got frizzy, it was so apparent through the twists. I was barely able to keep them in for 4 weeks.
This was easy to follow, you're really good at explaining how to do hairstyles. Your video on how to do 3 strand twists is the only one that allowed me to get it, and be able to do it.
Thanks for the tips on how to install them. I did my before and they were sliding out but definitely love passionate twist. I’ve have the same brand as well and you can reuse the. I’ve only use 1 1/5 pack and still have some left
I tried this today and it came out so nice!! Really easy as well, considering I'm just a beginner! I also used the method of washing the hair first because I do notice I get itchy scalp when putting in synthetic hair. Thank you so much for this tutorial!!!
So pretty💞 I got these done this summer and I regretted it! I wish I knew how to do them at home. It took 8 hours to get them done professionally and they did not last long. My hair frizzed up in the twists and started protruding through. Twists started slipping too. The style turned into a frizzy messy. I had to hold on for dear life for them to even hit the four week mark😂. Idk about y’all but I do not pay to get my hair done in a protective style if it will not last at least 6 weeks 😩😩 I live in the DC area and these stylists be CHARGINGGGGG!
Hi. I wanted to let you know; my stylist Ms. Kathy twisted my hair with your Melanin style cream. It is the FREAKING bomb.com! I love it! My twist actually has some hang time! The oil smells so good and works well in the hair! Just wanted you to know! Great job with these product! 🤗
Just bought some hair for this and it'll be here tomorrow! I've been wanting to do a protective style for months and since I normally wear my hair in twists 100% of the time I figure these look easy enough for me to actually do it. Thanks, Whitney!
I just ordered my hair on Amazon to do this style. Since I’m transitioning to gray I had to go with a different seller but still the same type and length. Thanks for sharing Whit!💜💙
I WISH i knew about washing the hair with apple cider vinegar. I got box braids 2 days ago and they’re beautiful but this itching is unbearable!! I’ve gotten box braids and kinky twists many times over the years but have never experienced anything like this. Hopefully I can wash with ACV and get some relief even though they’re already installed. Your twists are beautiful and very natural looking! This is a great, easy to follow tutorial.
You sure can! I've sprayed my braids (and especially scalp) with an acv/water mix after the fact whenbI had the same issue. Spray generously, then you can do a pure water rinse. Good luck!
I no longer feel bad about it taking me 8 hours after you said it took you a day! You Look Marvelous and that was the first color I tried by this company as well. Nice job
This is totally not related to the content but I live in South Korea and when you released your own hair care I was so determined to get it when I visited the states. I bought 2 of the cremes and 1 oil. Naptural85, you are a blessing! My hair has been feeling soo soft and moisturized since I started using your creme. I will definitely be buying them again!!
These are NOT passion twists....but still cute!!! I just want everyone to know passion twist arent so uniform and are much smaller. Nevertheless this is a nice style!
I've seen bigger passion twist, bigger than hers but with the curly wave hair. And I've seen ppl pull up after 3/4 twist for that crinkle look throughout the hair
I wish I saw this two days ago 😅 I went to a stylist yesterday and I ended up leaving disappointed and upset (and hair undone) because the woman was rough with my hair and the way she installed the twists was messy... she didn’t even wash the hair before adding them (which I had not known about until I watched your video). I’m glad I didn’t let her finish. I finally had the courage to trust someone with my hair and ended up regretting it, but it could have been worse. Now that I found your helpful video I’ll try doing it myself! Thank you so much! 💜
Thanks for the heads up guys! I can see the difference now! These are more structured so they’d be considered a “spring twist” so I’ve updated the title! BEAUTIFUL TWIST , But was it the 8" or the 12" pack hair ? THANKS
Cute cute CUTE!!!!!

Turned out so cute. Wish I had the patience to do that, I'm a lazy natural. Lol
Its mind boggling when the natural/real hair looks longer than the weave/ braiding hair. Lol. That's a compliment, by the way. This looks really good.
I might seriously try this! It really does look simple! Thank you for sharing Whitney!

@Sarah R For me, about 4-5 weeks. If you want to stretch it, you would have to redo the edges around the 4th week
Did u buy 8” hair?
These are so CUTE on you! They remind me a bit of your mini twists, but bigger with a little flair (colored tips). Beautiful!
You make this look so easy. I cant section my own hair.

I have never had my hair braided but I'm thinking about attempting to do this. I agree she definitely makes it look very easy.
Deltadivaix Same here. Never done this, but watching her I think I can. We'll see.
I only part my front perfectly. I don't care about the back because only I will know how sloppy they are lol. Everyone will see the front.

eTeRnAl bLiSs Yas!! Super simple and quick!!💯❤️❤️❤️
@@Naptural85 ...did you use 8 or 12 inches?
I no longer feel bad about it taking me 8 hours after you said it took you a day! You Look Marvelous and that was the first color I tried by this company as well. Nice job
I can never get my lines straight when I part my hair.
