Jason your van is looking really good! I remember when you bought it, with the Big Foot decal on the side. Nice job with both the interior and exterior.

Great video and information! Agree with everything you are saying.
We work the 8-5 as mentioned in your video. Cell service when traveling across country on interstates, typically does very well (video calls etc). Starlink when we are real remote, does great with video calls and heavy uploads, feels more reliable. BUT you always have to be prepared for outages/obstructions with both solutions.
200ah minimum agreed, that’s what we have. It’d be nice to be out longer but the reality is, your garbage is going to stack up by the time you burn through your battery bank. Hard to store 2-3+ garbage bags off grid in a small space. Maybe a roof rack could alleviate some of that difficulty?

    Thanks for this episode.
You covered a lot of practical ground, for those working remotely, and for the explorers.
I think the key is to have more capacity than you need, and multiple redundant systems.
    Happy Camping

You bring up a lot of good points. Not just for full-time van lifers, but for anyone building a camper for multi day use. Most of the requirements are the same, just not as critical for those of us who only live in our rigs for four or five days at a time.

Jason this video was amazing! I honestly couldn't agree more with all the topics that were discussed. Great info for any one who is considering this lifestyle even if you are a weekend warrior. I will be sharing this with all my friends who ask me about this stuff constantly. Once again great video, you are the man!

Great video! Pro tip, you can charge your macbook pro directly from the USB type C connect on the Jackery. Otherwise going from Jackery > AC Adapter > back to USB type C is inefficient and wasting energy. Charging directly from type C will be the best option

Thanks for the good video and tips. I'm thinking of having 3000 wh portable power station and adding 400 amp Life4Po batteries as well, do you think I should upgrade my alternator to 175 amp like you upgraded to or should I get a little higher amp alternator ? What brand alternator did you get ? I have 2008 Ford Econoline E150. Thanks advanced.

So you plug in the 2 x 100 Ah batteries to the jackery?

13:33 Pluggning in the MacBook cable directly to the USB-C port on the Jackery should be more efficient right?

I kinda think the anti-social set up of this could be unhealthy in the long run, especially for younger people. I have made most of my good friends by physically working in factories or food service. I am now retired and work part time cleaning an office building for extra money and to stay engaged.
Why so much negativity on people in general?🤠😻
