It's easy, I remember the trick from when I was a teenager. You put *67 before dialing to block your number then when someone doesn't answer blocked calls, you can type in "your" number to get through. The jerky boys was a thing back then.

I noticed an elderly man buying gift cards while on speaker phone at the Dollar General. The person speaking to the old man was very rude to him and he was confused about what cards to purchase. I intervened and asked the man for his phone, after an exchange of pleasantries and getting hung up on, I found out the old man was spending his last 500 in his savings to pay for 'prize money taxes' that he supposedly won. I explained that it was a scam. The old man thanked me and left.

I just wanted to let you know I had two calls today, one from Spectrum cable service, which is like Fios or Xfinity. The voice on the other side had a definite an accent similar to what we all hear. I baited them as they were offering cable services in my location. I called his bluff and asked if he knew my location. He said where my phone was from. I asked where that was and he had no clue. He hung up. A couple of minutes later I got a call from AT&T and DirectTV wanting to decrease my costs. I do not have AT&T or Direct TV. But what I did notice it was the same voice that had just called me about Spectrum. I called him on it and said "Gee, your voice sounds familiar". Guess what, he hung up!! People don't fall for these calls. The calls for Medicare part C calls are ridiculous. I have never heard or received a call from the Federal government with people with such thick accents. They are trying every avenue to get your money!! DON'T FALL FOR IT!! Perogi, keep up the great work!!

I think they have also started hiring voice coaches or something for the 'higher ups' who close the call, I spoke to one the other day and he had a very good English (kinda posh upper/middle class) accent. The original accent came through with certain words though, also he couldn't help but let slip a 'each and everything' or 'yes sir we can see the pcs on our screen' type plurals that no actual native speaker would say. Like the first call on this vid was passed to the 'refund department' and his accent was pretty good at the start, when he got frustrated the native accent started slipping, near the end he dropped it completely.
I do one think so be very bery careful ok? They know each and everything of how do we identify the persons. Ok, so they are learnings and changings so you must be on the lookouts ok? These scammer and hackers trying to steal your moneys ok?
That bit ^ was a joke, but seriously be careful and I can see them making enough for hiring a voice coach.

I receive so many scam calls daily on my mobile phone that I literally had to purchase a scam blocker app last month from my carrier. The first month the scam blocker app blocked 552 calls. Some calls were still able to get through but overall the scam blocker work.

You did the right thing! The best thing to do is hang up and call the sales number on your billing statement to verify if in fact the call was legit. That is scary, if these folks from India have that type of information though. Normally they don’t but who knows; we wouldn’t be going through this if American corporations didn’t initially ship our customer service jobs aboard. Now these ppl learnt the Schematics of the call centers and started their own businesses of scamming Americans.

Since I just had a Verizon technician over at my place to upgrade my FIOS service to the gigabit level (and also got rid of my TV package entirely) just the week prior, I figured it may them following up to make sure everything was working correctly, so I answered. I got some guy on there with that Indian accent we all know and love from these videos trying to tell me there was some legal issue with my social security! 🤨 Okay, hold the horses there! Indian said : you are one and half times normal man. THIScar is brand new, august 28th...
I said: Then I hope you have a warranty.
Indian driver then went on about having new cab...
I asked : How long you been in Australia?
      Indian driver : Since 1995
I said : Are you sure?
Indian driver : *silence* yet he did help me with shopping at arrival. He also miscounted change from cash though....

I really love the background art! I noticed First Baptist Bank was reading correctly from the banker's POV, it should be backwards, so "you" can read it. And it will confuse scammers! I also love the Easter eggs on the oven readout. And the cats. Just thought the visual artists and you should be complimented on their work! Also love the realistic clouds and shadows on the new city.

I'll be honest here gals and guys. I am not about to watch 3 hours 47 minutes and 56 seconds of folks working hard and doing a great deed. Yet I will leave a comment and a thumbs up because it will help the channel. Keep up the great work!
