Jurrasic Park 3. Got all of the actors in on one script, which they scrapped entirely just before everyone arrived. Yes, I also expected that one to be on the list. I think Jan de Bont was scalped by a lion during the shoot. Definitely one of the weirdest movies I've ever seen.
I find it amazing that the myth "this film / song is too long to be popular" continues to be put about. When has anyone ever sat down to watch a film or listen to a song wondering if it's going to be too long? The only time length becomes an issue is if the film / music is crap and even then being crap is the real problem - a short crap film's only advantage over a long crap film is the misery being over sooner... the cinema still have your money. Conversely a good long film is no problem at all, especially if the length is required to tell the story properly.

You forgot about "The Disaster Artist", a movie about how the most talented person made the greatest movie ever.
Isn’t that called a documentary
Tropic Thunder :D
Really great episode!!! Thank You!!!
I love the dedication and attention to detail put into making Titanic. It truly was a labour of love and I'm so glad all that hard work paid off.
Yet the ship sinking was a sub plot to the romantic love interest. What an absolutely ridiculous plot line to follow considering the subject matter and the resources involved.
"Before disney owned everything"
Well that explains why it was actually a great movie, one of my favs as a kid too back then
Did I just hear an It's Always Sunny joke? 😂😂
Requiem for a Dream is up there too. The intensity of Leto's method acting is pretty next level...
I loved the critical drinker's take on Dr. Moreau
The drinking shtick doesn't really work.
dude is on point most of the time
His take? It was just an info video. It was just supposed to be informative and fun.
I saw The Island of Dr. Moreau as a child. Just saw it the one time. Was probably around 6-8. I'm 34 now and as soon as I saw the thumbnail for this I was like "The Island of Dr. Moreau?" That film has staying power in the mind. lol
Thoughty2: The man, the mustache, the legend.
So I remember seeing the Titanic in the movie theaters. The moment DiCaprio was in the scene the screaming from the girls in the audience was just simply shocking and it went for so long they had to restart the movie... never seen anything like it
here for the questions as to how im early and my comment to be hearted by the main man
Plow twist this is Thoughty2 second channel
What
@Innocent Bystander its a comment bro nobody gives a damn
How early do you guys get the video?
Video came about 1 hour ago and your comment is 14 hours ago 😳
Thoughty2, your comedic genius is optimally apparent in this hilarious description of these insane flicks. Bravo!...
Great video. Could you do a video about what happened on the Planet of the Apes set? The actors playing the various apes self-segregated based on the ape species they were playing... weird
I really like your style man! I find that the mustache and the clothes you wear in these videos add another layer to the story
There are directors who have bigger egos than James Cameron, who’s just plain flawed, and that includes the director behind the technically horrible Ghostbusters 2016 movie.
Cameron owes the last 30 years of his career to teenage girls and 3-D
That guy's a douche-bag.
Michael Bay
Windigo Jones Rian Johnson is about as bad as JJ Abrams. But Kathleen Kennedy is definitely much worse because she turned Star Wars into a poorly written money fest. Yeah, I’m telling you that Star Wars has already crossed the damn line because of profit.
What about George Lucas? He’s plain flawed though, because he has both a good side and a bad side.
The bill ponderosa bit was perfect! Ty
"James Cameron does not do anything for James Cameron. James Cameron does what James Cameron does because he is James Cameron."
Let me hit that joint you be smoking that's some next level s#!t
James Cameron doesn't do what James Cameron does for James Cameron. James Cameron does what James Cameron does because James Cameron is James Cameron.
The bar is soooooo lowwwww😂
You are a master of your craft, always a captivating viewing experience.
The Emoji was one of the weirdest I've ever watched....
I’m more impressed you actually watched that garbage
@@RyanKevinHollar I lost a bet so I was forced to watch...
That doesn't count. We're talking about actual films.
I sometimes feel like I am the only fan of waterworld. I love that mad dystopic epic. Especially that legendary catamaran.
I really laughed at the part where you explained that Brando actually said 'there was a robbery in Woolworths' and man i laughed really hard
Your content is so incredible I don't know why it took so long for me to find your channel.
Been watching for 5 years man seen everything you have every put out on this channel I could hear your voice in a crowd surrounded by screaming zebras
Congrats on 3mil, you’re on of the few channels I have notifications on.
2:10
10,000 tons of ammonium nitrate and a sociopathic director........!
One of the best Thoughty2 shorts yet
His voice is like ASMR to my ears so satisfying i always fall asleep
Please elaborate “asmr”
Sounds like an assault rifle 😂

The strangest thing about Apocalypse Now is that none of those actors are bad at their jobs...and they are all blowing it.
At least you eventually got to the Island of Dr. Moreau. Never have I seen a stranger film.
I rem when the double tape VHS version came out at Wal-Mart I bought 7 copies and lined them up on my late nineties VHS display shelf. I was so proud and still am proud of this greatest of all films
LOL! I can't figure out the reason for 7 copies. Is there one in particular?
@@commentcopbadge6665 I junst wanted to show my suport for the movie! I figured if I bought multipal copies it would be more successfull. plus I figured they would be a collectors item and I could sell them years later for thousands or milions as a good investment that never panned out tho
@@edwinthomasrOh cool. LOL! Well those are good reasons as any.
which movie?
I wanted to argue that Roar had a worse production, but at least Island of Dr. Moreau has an unintentionally hilarious history, while Roar is just terrifying and sad.
Also noted that no one mentions David Thewlis, who plays the main character in IoDM, which I suppose means he was a professional OG on set like always.
The original title was “What happened on the set of the weirdest movie ever”
Whut
Whut
he seems to change his titles a lot
@Corey Barton not for me
Still is
This was definitely a great time
Thanks for sharing this video 👍👌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😉✌🏼
"a fundamentally broken everything" haha
Water World would actually be a really great film to reboot and easier to pull off today.
I've never laughed so much… "his sister!"
Jurrasic Park 3.
Got all of the actors in on one script, which they scrapped entirely just before everyone arrived. Proceeded with NO script, basically making it up as they went along, often scrapping many of those things, too. And that's only the beginning.
The RUclips channel Klayton Fioriti has a number of videos talking about it. One of the actors famously ranted about it many times, publicly.
James Cameron just keeps breaking records. He also pushes for technological advances that changes everything.
Been a big fan since I first saw The Terminator.
After the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia reference, you have earned yourself a lifelong subscriber.
So today I learned that Marlon Brando was just an absolute crazy person and that’s probably why he was such a good “actor”
Total Narcissist
The structure (for thee lack of a better term) of this video is amazing.
Beirut: Too soon to be talking about Ammonium Nitrate.
Appreciate the work u put into your videos. Keep going don't quit.
Would love to see a video about “El Topo”. Weirdest shit I have ever seen.
I like that J. J. Abrams jab.......Well done!
when he's about to make Titanic..
J. Cameron : "why use CGI when we have 10K tons of ammonium nitrate?"
when he's about to make a zombie movie..
J. Cameron : "why use CGI when we have real virus and real humans?"
Interviewer : "what's the secret of your success?"
J. Cameron : "resourcefulness 😉"
Now that’s dedication to your craft. Nothing short of the real thing will be good enough. One of the best movies ever made.
OMG HOW DID YOU FAIL TO MENTION ROAR? 70 people were hospitalised in the making of that movie
Yes, I also expected that one to be on the list. I think Jan de Bont was scalped by a lion during the shoot. Definitely one of the weirdest movies I've ever seen.
@@PriapeBoudu yea Noel Marshall son ended up in a willchair
jeeze effing Louise you finally get to what I thought I was clicking on 13:00 minutes in to an 18 minute video. You're welcome everyone.
A perfect "Always Sunny" reference 10/10 excellent job sir
Is James Cameron making a sequel in Beruit we don't know about?!
The ice bucket hat makes perfect sense. Look at how big Brando was. The only way he could not overheat would be to wear an ice hat.
2:02 very poor timing, very poor
I love the movie apocalypse now, it's chaotic but beautifully shot. Truly gritty and shows the true hells of war. Definitely in my top 10 films ever watched.
Just imagine if titanic flopped instead of being of earning 2 billion dollars 💵
We would call it Avatar 2 😯
Haha! Bill Ponderosa. That's nuts man. I was having a flashback to that episode of Sunny when you were telling the story.
I want a shirt that says. "You can scare me. I dont work for James Cameron"
I just love your channel, keep it up!
I remember seeing waterworld in the theater when it 1st came out & really liked it. They also had a waterworld live action show at universal studios(i believe) that i also liked. I don't understand why it wasn't super successful....
Everything I watch on this channel reminds me why I subbed. T2 sensational!
His name is James (James) Cameron! The greatest pioneer! No budget too steep, no sea too deep, Its him (whose that?) James Cameron!
That was a great episode
Is your book on audible? With your voice?
